Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 542: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (42)Chapter 542: Chapter 542: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (42)
’I never would have thought every rich person had such a powerful family backing them.’
With this in mind, Mika Summers suddenly looked at Tristan Grayson. "Tristan, the Grayson family isn’t complicated, is it?"
Tristan Grayson furrowed his brow. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he pulled her into his arms. "What do you mean ’the Grayson family’? It’s *our* family. Rest assured, my dear wife. Aside from a few shameless, freeloading poor relatives, we don’t have any powerful family connections."
"That’s good..." Hearing this, Mika Summers couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.
But when Tristan Grayson heard her, he wasn’t happy at all. "You silly girl, what’s so good about that? We only have money, no power."
"I don’t care whether you’re rich or powerful. As long as you love me and I love you, and our family can live together in peace and safety, that’s all that matters."
"But I want to build a world for our family where no one can bully you, and no one would dare. When people hear you’re Tristan Grayson’s wife, they will have to give you a wide berth and respectfully address you as Mrs. Grayson."
Tristan’s words moved Mika deeply, but she just smiled, tilted her head back, and pouted. "I’m not some man-eating tiger. Why would you want everyone to give me a wide berth? That would be so embarrassing."
"But you’re Tristan Grayson’s wife. No one gets to be close to you but me. If they did, I’d get jealous."

Jason Lockwood’s expression grew colder by the second as he watched Rory, who hadn’t stopped crying since she’d been carried in.
"The Baron, Miss Warren is here," Ash said, walking in and bowing respectfully.
He had barely finished speaking when Jasmine Warren walked in from outside, her hands full of shopping bags. "Jason Lockwood, look what I bought!" she announced, starting toward him.
But when she stepped inside and saw the little girl crying her heart out, she frowned and asked, her heart aching with pity, "Whose little princess is this? Why is she crying so pitifully?"
As she spoke, Jasmine Warren tossed her shopping bags onto the sofa and hurried toward the man holding the crying Rory.
At the sight, Jason Lockwood’s expression turned frigid. He shot a harsh glare at the man holding Rory and ordered, "Take her outside for now."
"Yes, sir."
"SOB SOB... You’re a bad man! You’re a bad man! I want my mommy! I want my mommy!" Terrified, Rory started wailing even louder.
Seeing this, Jasmine Warren threw caution to the wind. She marched forward, snatched Rory away, and glared fiercely at the man in the delivery uniform. "Who are you? And what is your relationship to this little princess?"
"Sh-She’s my daughter," the man stammered, his expression grim. "The Baron, I won’t trouble you any longer. Rory, we’re leaving." He spoke in a cold voice and reached to take Rory from Jasmine Warren’s arms.
"No! He’s a bad man! He’s a bad man! He’s not my daddy! I have a daddy, and it’s not him! Miss, save me!" Rory clung to Jasmine Warren’s neck for dear life, as if she’d found her last hope, crying and shouting.
The little princess’s palpable fear was enough to leave Jasmine Warren both shocked and heartbroken. She was now utterly convinced that this delivery man was, without a doubt, a bad guy.
"There, there, little princess, don’t cry. I’m here now. This big bad guy isn’t going to take you away."
