Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 580 - 578: What a Silly WifeChapter 580: Chapter 578: What a Silly Wife
Mika Summers turned her head away with a cold huff and wouldn’t look at him. "Hmph. Don’t talk to me. I don’t feel like talking to you today."
"Still mad?" Tristan Grayson strode over, took her by the arm, and asked in a low voice.
"Not only did you make me late for work, but now my whole body is so sore I can barely even walk. And you expect me *not* to be angry? Tristan Grayson, just because you’ve daydreamed yourself silly doesn’t mean I’m an idiot too!"
"My darling wife, I know I was wrong. I’ll be more mindful next time, okay? Please don’t be mad anymore." Tristan Grayson knew he was in the wrong. He admitted to himself that he had indeed gone a bit too far, so he had no choice but to apologize. Otherwise, getting kicked out of bed tonight just wouldn’t be worth it.
"Hmph. I don’t want to deal with you." After letting off some steam, Mika Summers wasn’t nearly as angry, but she still let out a pouting huff.
Seeing how adorable his wife looked, Tristan Grayson couldn’t resist leaning in to steal a kiss on her cheek.
The light peck made Mika Summers’s cheeks flush so red they felt like they were on fire. She covered her face, her beautiful eyes glaring at Tristan Grayson with a hint of shyness. "You’re such a rogue!"
"Mmm, I’m a rogue. So, darling, don’t be mad at me. The angrier you get, the cuter I find you. And the cuter you are, the more you captivate my heart. How could I possibly hold back?"
Tristan Grayson’s words made Mika Summers laugh in spite of herself. She couldn’t even pretend to be angry anymore. "That’s a whole lot of nonsense. I can’t be bothered with you. Let me go, I need to go wash up."
"Yes, ma’am! Go on and get washed up, my dear wife. I’ll head downstairs and make you something to eat. I put some fruit on the table for you, so remember to have a little something to tide you over."
Just as Mika Summers reached the bathroom door, she heard Tristan Grayson say he was going to cook. She spun around. "Don’t. You go downstairs and watch TV. I’ll cook after I’m done getting ready."
"But honey, in your condition?" Tristan Grayson’s eyes gestured toward Mika’s body.
At this, Mika Summers’s face instantly flushed red again. "And whose fault is that?" After a moment, she added, worried, "You can’t manage with just one hand. Just wait and let me do it."
"Honey, are you really treating me like I’m disabled?" Tristan Grayson suddenly felt aggrieved. Beneath his happiness at her concern, a pang of bitterness surfaced. Here he was, unable to even cook a meal for the person he loved most.
Hearing that, Mika Summers rushed to explain, "No, don’t take it the wrong way! I just want you to take good care of your hand right now. Didn’t Ian Shaw say that if you look after it properly, it might still..."
Seeing that he’d made her worry, Tristan Grayson quickly waved a hand at her, smiling. "I know, I know. You’re just looking out for me, honey. Okay, I won’t cook. You should hurry and get washed up."
"Okay."
Watching Mika Summers go into the bathroom, Tristan Grayson looked down at his right hand, his eyes filled with helplessness. ’What a silly wife. How could it possibly heal...?’
After Mika Summers finished washing up and came out of the room, she saw the fruit on the nightstand. A smile touched her lips as she walked over, picked up the plate, and took a slice of apple to eat.
’If I had to say what’s changed since we got married, it’s probably that Tristan loves me even more than before and knows how to pamper me even better.’
’I can clearly feel it. The moment I show the slightest sign of being upset, Tristan gets anxious and rushes to coax me.’
’I’m not a child, but he spoils me like one. I can even feel myself getting more and more prone to throwing little fits lately.’
’If Tristan keeps spoiling me like this, he’s going to spoil me rotten sooner or later.’
