「The next day, at the Country M airport.」

Ruby Archer clung reluctantly to Tiana Grayson’s arm. "Tiana, are you sure you’re not coming back with me? I’ll be so lonely flying all by myself."

For years, the two of them had been together almost every day. She really, truly couldn’t bear the thought of them suddenly being apart for even two or three days!

"Come on, we’ll see each other in just two or three days. You should get going."

"You’re so heartless. My heart hurts so much," Ruby Archer said, suddenly clutching her chest and laughing dramatically.

Tiana Grayson had always been an introvert, and since coming to Country M, she had become even more reserved than before. Seeing Ruby Archer’s over-the-top antics made her blush with awkwardness.

Ruby Archer knew she was running out of time. As much as she didn’t want to leave Tiana, she had no choice. With a reluctant sigh, she reached out, gave Tiana a hug, and said her goodbyes.

Watching Ruby Archer’s figure disappear from sight, Tiana felt as if she were seeing herself from five years ago. Back then, she too had hoped someone would stay with her.

She looked away and turned toward the airport exit.

Hearing the little girl speak Mandarin, and noticing she was dressed just like a little princess, Tiana immediately felt a fondness for her. She nodded and replied with a smile, "Tell me, what do you need my help with?"

"Pretty lady, could you please help me buy a plane ticket back to Tridell?"

Tiana’s brow furrowed slightly. "A plane ticket?"

The little girl, thinking Tiana was unwilling, quickly added, "Don’t worry, you don’t have to spend your money! I have my own." As she spoke, she took off her backpack and pulled out a black card.

This gave Tiana Grayson a headache. The little girl in front of her looked to be only about seven or eight years old.

And she had just pulled out a black card, the kind most women could only dream of. She was clearly the daughter of a wealthy family.

"So, pretty lady? Can you help me? Or you could just tell me where to buy a ticket, that’s okay too," the little girl said to Tiana Grayson, blinking her big eyes and grinning.

Tiana looked at the adorable little girl and found herself growing quite fond of her.

She thought for a moment and decided to ask a few questions before helping the little girl buy a ticket.

Putting everything else aside, the simple fact that they were both from the same place was reason enough for her to help.

"Are you going back to Tridell by yourself? Do your parents know you’re going back?"

"My dad’s really busy with work every day and has no time to look after me. I’m going back this time to find my mom. Don’t worry, pretty lady. I’m a big girl now, I can take care of myself."

"Alright." Tiana reasoned that if the little girl was going to find her mother, her mom would surely be at the airport to meet her. With that in mind, there didn’t seem to be much to worry about.

With that thought, Tiana Grayson relented and took the girl to handle the formalities.
