Being called "the boss" by a man nearly as wealthy as he was, Archie Lockwood was not happy about it.

But to spite him, he acted as if he enjoyed it, nodding. "As long as you know."

Leo Joyce cursed Archie Lockwood in his head before getting up to go upstairs.

Just then, the doorbell rang, so he had to turn back and get the door.

The visitor was Archie Lockwood’s bodyguard and assistant, Howard Rhodes. He had been sent to buy clothes for Leo Joyce, and his hands were full of shopping bags.

Leo Joyce took the bags from him. His eyes narrowed with a smile that held no courtesy. "Thanks. Your boss is paying for all of this."

Hearing this, Howard Rhodes panicked internally. He snuck a glance at his stone-faced, silent boss. ’It would be better to pay for it myself and have Leo owe me a favor than to make the boss reimburse the cost.’

Archie Lockwood shot Leo Joyce a glare before saying coldly to Howard Rhodes, "Give me the receipt later. I’ll sign off on it so you can get it reimbursed by the finance department."

"Yes, boss," Howard Rhodes replied respectfully, sweating bullets internally.

Just as Leo Joyce was about to disappear up the stairs, Archie Lockwood’s icy voice rang out slowly. "Your three days start today. Good luck!"

Leo Joyce stumbled, nearly falling down the stairs. He steadied himself on the railing and shot a vicious glare at Archie Lockwood, his mind racing. ’Once I get to Tridell, he won’t be the one to decide if I come back.’

He recalled that almost everyone he knew was desperate to work with the IS Group. All he had to do was spread the word.

As he thought about his plan, the smile playing on Leo Joyce’s lips grew more and more devilish.

He looked away and walked to the guest room. After unlocking the door, he saw Tiana lying on the bed, staring into space.

The look in his eyes slowly softened, and his steps became unconsciously lighter.

Hearing the door open, Tiana knew it was Leo Joyce. She turned her head slightly to look at him. Seeing the shopping bags in his hands, she clutched the blanket and sat up, her voice sharp and defensive. "Just put them on the bed."

"Oh," Leo Joyce replied, a note of disappointment in his voice as he placed the bags on the bed.

Tiana Grayson stared at Leo Joyce, her look clearly telling him to leave.

But Leo Joyce acted as if he didn’t understand, remaining right where he stood.

Annoyed, she muttered under her breath, "You can leave now."

"Oh," Leo Joyce replied flatly, then turned and left.

Seeing how compliant Leo Joyce was, Tiana Grayson felt even more unsettled.

She grabbed the bags and pulled out the clothes. She saw that, as expected, it was a pink sweatsuit. The shoes were white and pink sneakers, the socks were pink, and even the bra and underwear were pink.

Tiana Grayson’s brow furrowed. ’Does he still see me as the person I used to be?’

’Even if I like pink, does everything have to be pink? And sweats, of all things.’

’Oh, well. At least I have something to wear, right? It’s much better than lying in bed naked.’

After she got dressed and out of bed, she picked up the empty dishes from the side. When she opened the door, she saw Leo Joyce waiting right outside.

When Leo Joyce saw her, his brow twitched, but only for an instant. He took the dishes from Tiana with one hand and quite naturally took her small hand with his other.
