Chapter 653: Chapter 645: Fighting a Protracted War

"To hell with ’moving on’! You’re my woman! Who else could you possibly want to be with?!"

Tiana was stunned. He had never lost his temper or cursed in front of her before. To her, Leo had always been a gentle, well-mannered man.

"I’ll have someone buy you some clothes and bring them over. For now, go wash up and eat." Leo Joyce knew he’d lost his composure. He stood up anxiously, turning his back to Tiana. After rushing out the words, he walked out of the room.

She didn’t snap out of it until she saw Leo leave and shut the door behind him.

She wiped away her tears, washed up in the bathroom, and then sat back down on the bed. Staring at the meal, she suddenly realized she had no appetite.

It wasn’t because the food had gone cold. It was because she started remembering the time she and Leo had lived together.

For years, she had forced herself not to think about it, to forget. But now, after suddenly seeing Leo again, those memories came flooding back, overwhelming her.

「Downstairs in the living room.」

Archie Lockwood had no appetite either. When Rory was around, he’d always complained that she was too noisy and immature, and that she got in the way of his work. But now that she wasn’t home, the house felt empty and far too quiet.

He put down his chopsticks and glanced at Leo Joyce, who was sitting absently on the sofa. "I’m planning to head back to Tridell this afternoon," he said in a cold voice.

Leo Joyce looked up and asked nonchalantly, "Hm? I thought you said you couldn’t go back until tomorrow."

"I’m worried about Rory. I’ll feel better if I bring her home early."

"Oh," Leo Joyce replied flatly, then looked down and started fiddling with his phone.

Seeing Leo Joyce’s indifferent attitude, Archie Lockwood’s face darkened. "I’ll leave you the house keys," he said, displeased. "And you can use any car in the garage. But I’m only giving you three days. After three days, you have to leave my house." ’I’ve already set the stage for them. If he can’t win a wife back in three days, he might as well resign himself to being single forever.’

"How are three days supposed to be enough? The way things are going, I might be hunkering down here for a long fight!"

"A long fight? Leo Joyce, I’m warning you. If you don’t get the hell out of my house after three days, I’ll throw you out myself!"

Leo Joyce completely ignored his warning. Instead, he lay down sideways on the sofa, looking perfectly at ease in a way that was calculated to infuriate. "Don’t forget, your little princess adores me. If you kick me out, she’ll disown you!"

Archie Lockwood, who had been seething, suddenly thought of something. The corner of his mouth curled into a sly grin, and his eyes narrowed as he sneered, "If you don’t leave after three days, I’ll marry my daughter to you. Then you’ll have to call me Dad."

"Fuck! Archie Lockwood, you’re ruthless!" Hearing this, Leo Joyce shot upright and yelled, his composure completely shattered.

"If you dare to stay, I’ll dare to marry my daughter to you. It’s no loss for me, anyway. I’d be gaining a grown son for free."

"It’s not often you get to go back to Tridell. You should stay for a few extra days," Leo Joyce tried again, unwilling to give up.

Archie Lockwood shot him a death glare. "If it weren’t for you, I’d head back today and return tomorrow. Three days is my absolute limit."

"Fine, fine, fine. I get it. You’re the big boss, you’re busy. I’ll just do my best to win my wife back within three days."
