Chapter 664: Chapter 656: Drink With Me

After Mika Summers left the room, the person on the bed slowly opened their eyes. This time, however, their expression was no longer as pitiable as it had been just moments ago. Instead, it was exceptionally cold—a look, unknown to anyone, that had been painstakingly regained after overwhelming grief.

Siren’s Night.

Inside the private booth, a man watched the men and women writhing on the dance floor outside, the corners of his mouth curling into a wicked smirk.

In the six months after Tiana left, he had come here almost every day to drink himself into a stupor. But eventually, he stopped coming altogether. It was as if he’d suddenly realized that his little princess hated him frequenting places like this, and she especially hated him gambling.

So, he quit. He stopped coming to places like this.

Even if there was urgent business to take care of, he had it sent to his corporate headquarters instead.

For his little princess, he even gave up his favorite pastime—gambling—but he still hadn’t won her back.

The feeling left him simmering with a suppressed fury. It was like a ball of fire boring deep into his soul, searing him with an agonizing pain.

He had always known he was the type to take love seriously. Even though he’d grown up in such a chaotic environment, he had never fooled around. But at this very moment, he utterly despised that part of himself.

’If only I could learn from that rake, Ian Shaw—to love one woman while still being able to fool around with all sorts of others—then maybe I wouldn’t feel so miserable right now.’

When he couldn’t find her, he had scoured the world like a madman. Now that she was finally right in front of him, he was paralyzed by fear and helplessness.

Drinking was supposed to be an outlet for his emotions, but for him, it was utterly useless.

In fact, the more he drank, the clearer his mind became, and the old memories flashed before his eyes one by one.

While he was downing glass after glass as if it were plain water, the very "rake" he had just been cursing in his mind had already arrived at the booth.

Seeing Ian Shaw, Lucy scrambled to his feet like a fawning lackey. "Shaw!" he called out.p>Ian Shaw gestured with his eyes and stepped out of the booth. When Lucy followed him out, he raised an eyebrow. "What’s wrong with him?" he asked. Honestly, he had been shocked to see Leo Joyce at Siren’s Night.

The guy had completely changed over the past few years, no longer the same roguish Little Tyrant he used to be.

Lucy covered his mouth, gossiping in a hushed voice, "I hear the young lady of the Grayson Family is back."

"Tiana’s back?" Ian Shaw’s brow furrowed, his voice tinged with surprise.

"Mhm, but judging by Young Master Joyce’s state, it looks like he hit a brick wall."

Ian Shaw nodded knowingly. "I see..."

"Shaw, I can’t hang with you tonight. You just have fun on your own. Put the whole bill on my tab later."

"Heh, Lucy, you’re a real stand-up guy. But are you dumb? There’s a walking credit card sitting in there, and you insist on paying out of your own pocket instead of using him."

"Well, Shaw, you don’t understand..."

Just as Lucy was about to pour out his woes, Leo Joyce happened to lift his head and look their way, his voice thick with annoyance. "Lucy, get your ass over here and bring me more booze!!!"

"You got it! Right away, boss!" Lucy responded smartly and was gone in a flash.

Seeing Lucy scurry off to fetch the drinks, Leo Joyce could only turn his fury on Ian Shaw. "Ian Shaw, you’re the root of all this! What right do you have to just stand there looking fine?! Goddammit, sit your ass down and drink with me."
