Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 665 - 657: Lovey-DoveyChapter 665: Chapter 657: Lovey-Dovey
Leo Joyce had never shown Ian Shaw a shred of respect. In fact, he took every opportunity to verbally humiliate him. And yet, in his heart, he considered Ian his half-brother-in-law.
It all started on the first anniversary of his sister’s death.
At the time, he had just started handling company matters and had no leads on finding Tiana. On top of that, he had fought with his parents, so he didn’t go to the cemetery with them as planned.
He waited until after his parents had left before secretly going himself.
When he got there, he happened to see Ian Shaw and ended up overhearing some things about his romantic history with his sister.
He was convinced his sister had never loved Ian Shaw, even up to her death. But there was one thing he couldn’t deny. After that day, he had Ian investigated and discovered that he visited his sister’s grave every single month. That alone was enough to move him on his sister’s behalf.
A man might visit your grave every year out of guilt after you’re gone, but he would never be able to do it every month.
But Ian Shaw did.
He was moved, but that didn’t mean he could forgive the man who had hurt his sister.
That’s why he could never fully accept Ian Shaw, only seeing him as a half-brother-in-law.
Ian Shaw, hearing Leo’s words, didn’t seem angry. He walked straight into the private room, grabbed a used glass from the table, and filled it to the brim. He clinked glasses with the somewhat dazed Leo, then tilted his head back and downed it in one gulp.
Seeing Ian act so decisively, Leo, not to be outdone, downed his own drink in one go.
After he finished, Leo added in a cold, provocative tone, "Tonight, if you’ve got the guts, try and drink me under the table!"
"Bring it on!" Perhaps it was the news of Tiana’s sudden return, but Ian’s thoughts also turned to some unpleasant memories, and an inexplicable gloom settled in his heart. So, he boldly accepted Leo’s challenge.
Leo had already had over a dozen drinks by himself, so he was statistically more likely to pass out. But as they drank late into the night, it was Ian Shaw who was the first to slump over the table.
Leo clutched his glass, propping up his nearly collapsing body as he staggered out of the private room. There weren’t many people left, just the occasional couple embracing and getting up to no good.
It was a common sight, especially in a place like this where people came to have fun. But right then, to Leo, the scene was an eyesore. He raised his glass and, with a CRASH, smashed it on the floor.
Instantly, he had everyone’s attention.
His eyes narrowed menacingly as he turned and shot a cold look at the bartender.
"Young Master Joyce!" The bartender on duty was badly shaken by Leo’s sudden outburst and the look in his eyes.
Back in the private room, Lucy rubbed his blurry eyes open. He saw Leo standing near the bar, swaying on his feet and looking like he was about to collapse. All sleepiness vanished in an instant. He rushed over and said anxiously, "Young Master Joyce, you’re drunk! Let me help you upstairs to rest."
"Lucy! Listen to my fucking order! Siren’s Night is closed for the night. No more guests! Get all these loiterers out of here for me, now!" ’If I’m miserable, then everyone else can be miserable with me! I just can’t stand watching these damn couples getting all lovey-dovey right in my face.’
