Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 667 - 659: Survived for One SecondChapter 667: Chapter 659: Survived for One Second
He sent Tiana Grayson’s phone number to his own phone. Then, stealthily, he deleted the text and slipped the phone back into Ian Shaw’s pocket.
Everything went very smoothly.
He got Tiana’s phone number, slipped into the adjacent private room, and called her.
The first call went unanswered, but it at least confirmed the number was active. Lucy had no intention of giving up.
He figured that if his Young Master Joyce was too miserable to sleep, then that woman didn’t deserve a peaceful night either.
Tiana Grayson wasn’t actually asleep. She’d simply seen an unfamiliar number and chose not to answer. But she hadn’t expected the calls to come one after another, with a persistence that promised they wouldn’t stop until she picked up.
Finally, thoroughly annoyed, Tiana answered, "Hello?"
She had barely said hello when a displeased, mocking male voice came from the other end. "Well, well, Miss Grayson. Still up so late!"
Hearing him address her as Miss Grayson right away, Tiana Grayson frowned slightly and asked warily, "Who is this?"
"My, Miss Grayson, you great people have such short memories. You’ve even forgotten who I am. But I suppose that’s to be expected. How could someone like me, Lucy, ever be worthy of your notice?"
Upon hearing the name Lucy, Tiana fell silent. She truly didn’t recognize him.
Her silence, however, only made Lucy’s anger flare. ’Even Ancestor Avery wouldn’t dare forget me, yet this girl from the Grayson Family can’t even remember who I am.’
"What a memory you have, Miss Grayson. I can forgive you for forgetting me, but surely you remember Young Master Joyce."
At the mention of Young Master Joyce, she furrowed her brow, thinking hard. ’Wait... there used to be a little blond-haired punk who was always trailing after Leo Joyce... someone Leo constantly bullied, beat, and cursed at, but who never dared to fight back. Was his name Lucy?’
She lowered her gaze, her expression unreadable, and asked in a perfectly calm voice, "It’s very late. What is it?"
"Miss Grayson, Young Master Joyce is at Siren’s Night right now, and he’s about to drink himself to death. If you don’t want to be collecting his body tomorrow, I suggest you get over here tonight." Having said his piece, Lucy hung up without giving Tiana Grayson a chance to refuse.
「At the Grayson residence.」
Tiana Grayson stared at her phone after the call ended, a complex mix of emotions in her eyes.
’Siren’s Night? That’s Leo Joyce’s territory. He’s on his own turf, so he should be fine... right?’
That was what she thought, but her body refused to listen. It moved on its own, scrambling to pull on clothes. She grabbed her phone, threw open her bedroom door, and ran downstairs.
She spotted the car keys on the living room table and, on pure impulse, snatched them up and ran outside.
In that moment, she completely forgot that she hadn’t touched a car since the period she’d spent practicing for her driver’s test.
Her driving skills were atrocious—she could barely drive in a straight line. Her instructor had practically turned a blind eye to let her pass the test.
With driving skills like that, she somehow made it to Siren’s Night in under half an hour.
She was probably lucky the call had come in the dead of night; otherwise, she would have definitely gotten into an accident.
After she parked the car, her eyes held an inexplicable mix of anticipation and sorrow.
’If I go in,’ she thought, ’and Leo confesses to me, if he explains the whole fiancée thing... I think I’d agree to make up with him.’
The thought survived for a mere second before Tiana ruthlessly shot it down.
