Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 690 - 682: Dilly-dallyingChapter 690: Chapter 682: Dilly-dallying
The next day, when Tiana Grayson woke up, the first thing she saw was Leo Joyce’s handsome face.
He was lying on his side, his eyes fixed on her without blinking, as if he were afraid she would run away.
She wasn’t quite used to this sudden intimacy. Discreetly, she shifted away from him and forced a smile that looked more pained than a grimace. "Morning!"
"Mm, morning!" Leo Joyce had noticed her subtle movement and smiled dotingly.
"When did you wake up?" Leo Joyce’s intense gaze made her feel a little uncomfortable, as if she had been watched for a very, very long time.
Leo Joyce lowered his head slightly and said with a lighthearted laugh, "Not long. Just before you woke up."
"Oh." ’Was it just my imagination? Why do I feel like someone’s been staring at me?’
Seeing that she didn’t press the issue, the unease in Leo Joyce’s eyes faded. He leaned over Tiana Grayson. "Waking up and seeing you lying next to me... it feels so good. So blissful."
"..." Faced with Leo Joyce’s sudden declaration, Tiana Grayson was too surprised to know how to react.
’How should I put it? It just feels... unreal. The old Leo Joyce was good at coaxing me, but he never expressed his feelings so openly.’
"Tiana, let’s get married." When Tiana didn’t answer, Leo Joyce grew anxious, afraid this happiness would be too fleeting.
"Huh? Get married?" ’We just got back together last night, and he wants to get married already?’
"Yeah, let’s get married. Once we’re married, I can wake up to you every morning and hold you every night when we go to sleep."
Tiana Grayson blinked back tears and asked, a little dissatisfied, "So, is this you proposing to me right now?"
Leo Joyce leaned down and kissed her on the lips. "If you want this to be a proposal, then it is."
Hearing his casual remark, Tiana Grayson turned her head away and coldly refused, "I think we just got back together. It’s too soon to get married."
However, Leo Joyce didn’t notice she was angry at all. He hugged her tightly, anxious and uneasy. "How is this too soon? We’ve known each other for so many years, and I lost you for more than five. You call this fast? I think it’s too slow! I wish I could have made you marry me the very night we were reunited! Then you’d be my woman—stamped and sealed, legally mine. You’d never be able to just run away from me again, and I would never give you the chance."
Tiana Grayson was just a hopeless romantic. Just hearing Leo’s words was enough to make her heart melt. Through her tears, she managed a smile. "Leo Joyce, you want me to marry you, is that it?"
"Of course! I wanted you to marry me five years ago. If you hadn’t still been in school, we would have gotten married back then."
"Alright, I’ll marry you. But, Leo Joyce, you owe me a proper proposal."
Leo Joyce furrowed his handsome brow in surprise. "A proper proposal?"
Tiana Grayson hummed in agreement and quickly snuggled into his arms, pouting. "You figure it out yourself. Don’t bother me about it. I’m not going to just get married so easily without hearing a real proposal." ’The five years of suffering can’t just be forgotten overnight.’
Leo Joyce just smiled dotingly at Tiana’s words and reaction. He reached out and turned her face toward him. "Silly girl, look at me."
"What for?"
"You wanted a proposal, didn’t you? I’ll do it right now." ’What a silly girl. I said all those things this morning, and she still doesn’t think it was a proposal?’
To him, those were the cheesiest lines he’d ever imagined himself saying in his entire life.
But, if she wanted a proposal, then a proposal she would get.
He would say whatever she wanted to hear.
"Now?" Tiana Grayson was once again stunned by Leo Joyce’s words.
’A proposal in bed??’
’I just woke up! Never mind how I look, but isn’t the time and place all wrong?’
"Yes. Tiana Grayson, listen closely. This is Leo Joyce’s proposal to you."
"..." ’Even though the time and place were all wrong, her heart still skipped a beat when she heard Leo Joyce was about to propose.’
She couldn’t bring herself to refuse.
"Tiana, I love you. I really, really love you. I love you so much that sometimes I don’t even feel like myself. So, Tiana Grayson, will you marry me? I swear, I’ll make you happy."
There were no flowery words, but Tiana Grayson was so moved that tears streamed down her face. Crying, she grumbled, "Who proposes in such a roguish way like you?"
Hearing Tiana’s words, a smile spread across Leo Joyce’s lips. "What else was I supposed to do? If I keep dragging my feet, when will I ever get to bring my wife home?"
"..." Seeing that Leo Joyce didn’t understand her at all, she decided not to insist on a formal proposal anymore.
At least now she knew that Leo truly loved her, and it wasn’t just her own wishful thinking.

「In a coffee shop.」
"Does Cassian Jennings know about this?"
Amelia Avery looked out the window and replied faintly, "He knows."
"So what are you two going to do? Just keep hiding it forever?"
"I want to divorce him."
"You two went through so much to be together. It would be such a shame to get a divorce. Besides, you should discuss something like this with him. Actually..."
"But I can’t ruin his life because of my personal problems."
"..." Mika Summers saw that Amelia Avery had made up her mind. She said nothing, her gaze following Amelia’s out the window.
The two of them sat there, staring out the window and lost in thought for a long while, until the phone in Amelia Avery’s bag rang, snapping them back to reality.
Amelia Avery answered the phone with a formal, professional tone. "Hello, this is Amelia Avery. May I ask who’s calling?"
The other end of the line fell silent. After nearly a minute, a gentle female voice finally came through. "It’s... Tiana Grayson."
"Tiana?"
"Yeah. Amelia, are you free? Let’s meet up."
"Yes, of course I’m free! You brat, you haven’t contacted me in years. I thought you’d completely forgotten about me."
"Amelia, I’m sorry..."
"Alright, I know. Don’t say anything else. We’ll talk when we meet."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Amelia Avery clutched her phone, a look of unease in her eyes.
"Was that Tiana?"
"Mika, before I divorce Cassian Jennings, please don’t tell anyone about my situation."
