Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 117 - 116: Too Much Time on Their HandsInside her room, Chu Liangyu had just lain down when she felt the ground shake violently. Her first thought was that an earthquake had hit.
But after hearing a roar, she immediately realized this was no earthquake—someone was fighting.
With a dark expression, Chu Liangyu walked out into the courtyard. She looked up and was momentarily blinded by a dazzling, fiery red Phoenix in the sky. Below it, a brown bear the size of a small hill repeatedly swiped its claws in attack.
The surrounding houses had been reduced to a wretched state by their battle, and even her own courtyard had suffered considerable damage.
’It’s like they’re one step away from taking a crap on my head. Utterly shameless.’
Chu Liangyu’s anger surged as she took in the sight of the destruction, finally reaching its peak as a pair of black wings burst from her back.
In an instant, Chu Liangyu appeared above Feng Qiwu. She landed directly on his back, raised a foot, and slammed it down hard.
With a loud THUD, Feng Qiwu, in his full Phoenix form, was smashed deep into the ground. A pained Phoenix Cry echoed from the crater, weak and intermittent. It was clear he was in agony.
Without a second glance, Chu Liangyu appeared before Xiong Xianhui. She struck his chest with an unceremonious palm strike, so fast that he had no time to react.
Xiong Xianhui was sent flying several meters. His hill-sized body provided some cushioning, but it did little to lessen the pain of his back slamming into a massive boulder.
The entire sequence of moves was as smooth as flowing water. The flawless execution made everyone present truly realize that Chu Liangyu’s strength was far beyond their own.
It even gave them the impression that she could take down all the Beast Husbands at once, and do so effortlessly.
"Female Master, she’s... she’s too strong!"
Jinling’s mouth hung open, his eyes fixed on the figure in the air. He was stunned speechless for a long moment.
"Isn’t it obvious?" Yu Tu glanced at him, then looked down at the two on the ground, a sympathetic look on his face. "Tsk, those two are in for it now."
After she had dealt with them both and they had quieted down, Chu Liangyu flew back into the crater and hauled both of them to the surface, one in each hand.
The force of Chu Liangyu’s attacks had shocked them into shrinking down to her height, though they still retained their beast forms.
If they hadn’t leveled up recently, that last move from Chu Liangyu would have been enough to knock them straight out of their beast forms.
"Now, tell me, what were you two fighting about?"
The groans of pain ceased the instant Chu Liangyu spoke. Both of them looked at her, a hint of guilt in their eyes, but neither offered an explanation.
Chu Liangyu’s tone turned cold. "If you don’t start talking, then neither of you is to ever appear before me again. I’ll just act as if I never had you two as my Beast Husbands."
She wasn’t joking. With the way they started fights without a second thought, completely disregarding whether they might harm other tribe members, they were bound to cause a serious incident sooner or later.
"Wait! I’ll talk."
Ignoring the pain, Feng Qiwu immediately explained, "It was like this! I was trying to give this guy a friendly reminder, but he couldn’t appreciate my good intentions and called me a wild chicken."
Xiong Xianhui’s chest heaved with rage. Clearly furious, and afraid Chu Liangyu would get the wrong idea, he quickly cut in, "I didn’t insult him for no reason! He called me stupid and was acting all high and mighty. Who could put up with that? That’s why I couldn’t hold back. Besides, Feng Qiwu attacked first! I was just defending myself."
’These two are so childish,’ she thought. ’Listening to them is like hearing a couple of children squabble. I don’t get it. They’re Beast Fathers to so many cubs, yet they’re still this immature.’
Chu Liangyu raised a hand and pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling utterly helpless and embarrassed.
’And these are my Beast Husbands? Two of them, at that!’
"Xiong Xianhui, take a look at your own status. What gives you the right to call me a wild chicken?"
"Oh, right. You’re so noble, so clever. But weren’t you just as easily played for a fool by Hu Qiumu as the rest of us?"
This was a reference to what happened on the day they leveled up. Feng Qiwu’s eyes instantly turned red, clearly triggered by the remark.
"Xiong Xianhui!"
A furious roar accompanied a sharp feather that shot straight toward Xiong Xianhui. But before it could reach him, Chu Liangyu caught it mid-flight between two fingers. The feather couldn’t advance another millimeter, rendered completely useless.
"Seriously? You two thought this little squabble was worth fighting over? Was it fun?"
She casually tossed the feather aside, then kicked each of them in the butt. "You two clearly have too much time on your hands," she said.
"Both of you, change back to your human forms! Now!"
Perhaps it was her sudden change in tone, but they both realized the gravity of the situation and scrambled back into their human forms.
"Neither of you is sleeping tonight. You’re going to repair everything that was damaged here. And you are not allowed to use your beast forms to help."
Chu Liangyu pressed her index and middle fingers together. At her command, wisps of energy flickered between them. She then touched the energy to their foreheads, sending it into their bodies.
With a soft POP, they were still in their human forms, but they had shrunk to the size of Chu Liangyu’s index finger. If you didn’t look closely, you’d never even notice the two tiny figures standing there.
"This is your punishment. If you haven’t fixed everything by dawn tomorrow, you’re both... finished. Don’t even think about changing back!"
With that, Chu Liangyu turned and walked away. The mere breeze from her movement was enough to make the two tiny figures stumble, creating a rather comical sight.
"Well, there you go. Are you happy now?"
"You started it! I wouldn’t have lost control if you hadn’t."
Though they bickered fiercely, their hands were already at work, moving things around to repair the damage as Chu Liangyu had ordered.
While their strength hadn’t diminished, working at this size was incredibly inconvenient. They were easily crushed by falling rocks or planks of wood.
Their strength was unchanged, that was true. But the pain was also very real!
But right now, neither of them dared cry out in pain. They were obviously holding it in, refusing to show weakness in front of the other.
Watching them from her window, Chu Liangyu felt much of her anger dissipate.
She was starting to feel tired, a mental exhaustion setting in. Glancing at the bed nearby, she yawned and walked toward it, step by step.
Her mind was still racing with thoughts, but she couldn’t fight off the encroaching drowsiness.
Not long after pulling the covers over herself, she was fast asleep.
When she woke up, it was already the next morning. Perhaps because it was the best rest she’d had in days, Chu Liangyu was in an excellent mood.
The relaxed, pleasant expression on her face was enough to lift anyone’s spirits.
