Xiang Qiancheng didn’t stay for long. After he left, the crowd in the square gradually grew, and before long, just about everyone had arrived.

"Good morning, Beast Mother!"

Before the little girl even appeared, her sweet voice rang out. She was followed by her siblings, all of whom looked at Chu Liangyu with anticipation.

"Good morning."

Chu Liangyu had three main goals for this event. First, to help weaker Beastmen, like the rabbit cubs, gain the ability to defend themselves. Second, to strengthen their bonds and pave the way for what was to come. Besides them, the other two she could name, Chu Yue and Chu Li, weren’t in the tribe; they were living with Jiang Li.

Although she could remember their names, she hadn’t yet been able to put faces to all of them in their human forms.

At this thought, Chu Liangyu felt a flush of embarrassment. The pressure was immense.

’It seems having too many cubs is its own kind of trouble,’ she thought. ’But luckily, my memory has always been good. I can usually memorize something after seeing it just once. It’s only a matter of time.’

"Since everyone’s here, let’s begin."

There was a raised, circular platform on the training grounds, designed for demonstrating and teaching movements.

After stepping onto the platform, Chu Liangyu immediately began her explanation of the Body Technique and movement technique. "As I explain, please follow my movements. If there’s anything you don’t understand, feel free to ask me directly."

The Beastmen’s sight and hearing were far superior to those of ordinary humans, so no one had any trouble seeing or hearing her.

Except when things got rowdy, of course. But with their chief, Chu Liangyu, teaching them personally, no one in the crowd was foolish enough to squander the opportunity.

As it happened, Flower Branch was on the edge of the crowd and was the first to spot the newcomers.

But when she saw a familiar figure among them, she rubbed her eyes in disbelief.

"Sister!"

Although Hua Youyue was twenty years old, his baby face made him look like a newly adult male Beastman, brimming with youthful vigor.

Perhaps because he was so strikingly handsome, he stood out in the crowd, easily noticeable at a glance.

This was the first Cao knew of Flower Branch having such a handsome younger brother. She couldn’t help but ask, "Is that your brother?"

Hua Youyue walked up to his sister with a grin. "Sister, from now on, we’ll be part of the same tribe."

"Huh?" Flower Branch asked in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

"It means the Alien Flower Clan is joining your tribe." Hua Youyue glanced around but, not seeing who he was looking for, asked, "Sister, where’s your chief?"

"The chief is back there. I’ll take you to her."

Though she didn’t know the reason for their sudden decision to join, Flower Branch was inwardly overjoyed and eagerly led them to find Chu Liangyu.

The commotion was hard to miss, and Chu Liangyu had noticed it long before they arrived.

Seeing Hua Youyue flutter over to her, Chu Liangyu suppressed a smile, cleared her throat awkwardly, and said, "I didn’t expect you to be here so soon."

"When you give an order, Sister, of course we have to be quick."

That’s what he said, anyway. The truth was, their food had run out. If they hadn’t come now, they would have starved to death.

Chu Liangyu took his words with a grain of salt and asked, "Where is your High Priest?"

"Right here, right here."

A few young men pushed someone forward until he stood before Chu Liangyu. The man’s face was pale, a clear sign that he had yet to fully recover from a serious illness.

"I’m surprised to see someone so young as the High Priest."

Perhaps it was related to their clan’s shapeshifting abilities, but everyone in their tribe was remarkably attractive. This High Priest was nearly as handsome as Hua Youyue.

"You may not know, Sister, but our High Priest is exceptionally talented. He’s only twenty-five, just five years older than me, making him the youngest High Priest in our tribe’s history."

As Chu Liangyu listened to his story, her brow furrowed unconsciously. ’For someone like him to have his body taken over for no good reason,’ she thought, ’he must harbor a great deal of resentment.’

’As time passes, that resentment will only grow stronger. The only real solution is to deal with these souls as soon as possible.’

’But I don’t have what I need to do that yet. I’ll have to put it on hold for the time being.’

At this thought, Chu Liangyu realized she would have to contact the old man first.

"What’s your name?"

As Chu Liangyu sized him up, he was also discreetly sizing her up.

For some reason, he felt a sense of threat from this woman. His brow twitched as he replied, "Hua Yao."

"From now on, the Alien Flower Clan is part of our tribe. But I expect you all to truly integrate and fulfill your responsibilities should the tribe face danger. Can you do that?"

The request wasn’t unreasonable—in fact, it was the bare minimum. They agreed without hesitation, nodding in assent.

"Thank you, Chief!"

The flamboyant way Hua Youyue had greeted his sister hadn’t escaped Chu Liangyu’s notice, which was why she made this decision.

"Hua Yao, your quarters are elsewhere. Just follow her."

The "her" Chu Liangyu referred to was Xiong Jiaojiao. She had already ordered Zhao Zeming to be placed under house arrest in a separate courtyard, and now that Hua Yao had arrived, he was to receive the same treatment.
