Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 76 - 75: Jacking Up the PriceThe man was dressed in the blue uniform of his sect, his expression as cold as ice. He tapped his fingers on the tabletop, seemingly deliberating.
After a long moment, he finally spoke. "Just ten Top Grade Spiritual Stones?"
He paused and sized up the woman, his thoughts unreadable. "More," he said. "Ten Top Grade Spiritual Stones is far too little."
Chu Liangyu had Top Grade Spiritual Stones to spare, so she didn’t object. "Alright. What price do you have in mind?"
Without a moment’s hesitation, the man replied, "Two hundred Top Grade Spiritual Stones apiece."
Chu Liangyu nodded, ready to agree on the spot, but Lou Sang wailed and tried to stop her. "My dear lady, you have no idea what things are worth! Those are Top Grade Spiritual Stones! He’s clearly just jacking up the price."
"And you were actually going to agree!"
Chu Liangyu arched an eyebrow, perplexed. "What do you need this for, anyway?"
"They’re amazing for replenishing energy! What do you mean ’what use’? Just put them down!"
Watching this little drama unfold, a hint of a smile touched the icy-faced man’s lips, but it vanished so quickly it might have been an illusion.
"Hey!" Lou Sang interjected. "I’ll tell you what. One hundred Top Grade Spiritual Stones apiece, max. Not a single one more."
It wasn’t that Lou Sang didn’t want Chu Liangyu to make the purchase; he just couldn’t stand by and watch her get ripped off so blatantly.
The man’s initial asking price had been so outrageous that Lou Sang had prepared for a lengthy haggle.
To his surprise, the man simply nodded in agreement. "Acceptable," he said, his cool voice unexpectedly pleasant.
Once the deal was struck, the items materialized in their respective hands.
Chu Liangyu’s attention was captivated by the two sets of robes in her hands. "Pleasure doing business with you," she said without looking up.
With a light tap of her finger, she closed the Trading System’s interface.
The man opened his mouth as if to say something more, but the screen before him abruptly vanished.
He shook his head, not giving it much thought.
Just then, a voice called from outside his cave abode. "Martial Uncle, the Disciple Acceptance Ceremony is starting. The Sect Leader sent me to remind you."
At the sound of the voice, the man’s expression became as cold as ice once more.
"Understood."
The disciple outside was accustomed to him being a man of few words and saw nothing amiss. With another bow, he said, "This disciple takes his leave."
The two High Tier Defense Magic Robes were clearly a world apart from their Mid Tier counterparts. Not only was the defensive power on a completely different level, but the material itself also felt incredibly comfortable to the touch.
One set was light green, like the one she had before, while the other was a soft, primrose yellow.
Chu Liangyu changed into the light green robe, stowing the primrose yellow one in her Storage Bracelet.
She had promised to get one for Xiong Jiaojiao, and now she could finally make good on her word.
"What’s with that look on your face?"
After getting herself situated, Chu Liangyu turned and saw a peculiar expression on Lou Sang’s face.
"I have a bad feeling about this," he said. "You’re going to start treating the Trading System like your personal shopping channel. My Spirit Stones are doomed."
That was indeed her plan, and she was surprised he had seen right through her.
For a rare moment, she actually felt a little awkward.
"Let’s put that aside for now," she said, changing the subject. "I need to ask you, do you know where to find the Earth?"
"Well, what a coincidence. I actually do know," he said. After a moment of thought, he added, "It’s somewhere on the seabed in this very ocean."
From the way he said it, he clearly didn’t know the exact location, so Chu Liangyu didn’t bother asking for more details.
She summoned her trident. With a light tap, it transformed into a ball of light, pulsing gently like a human breath.
"You should be familiar with this part of the ocean. Lead us to the Earth."
The ball of light nuzzled against Chu Liangyu’s brow before swimming off toward the ocean depths.
"Wait," Lou Sang called out. "Aren’t you going to wait for your Beast Husbands?"
"You can wait here if you’d like."
Lou Sang pouted but stopped meddling in her affairs, quickly following her into the water.

「At the same time, in a private room in the Black Market.」
Cries of pain mingled with hateful complaints, and the faint sound of a shattering teacup could be heard.
"I swear, I’ll make her death a miserable one!"
The moment the words left his mouth, his fist slammed down on the stone table.
The solid stone table instantly crumbled into dust. Jiang Li’s eyelid twitched—he was clearly pained by the loss of his furniture.
"You’re lucky to be alive," Jiang Li said. "Focus on healing your wounds. We can talk about everything else later."
"You saw it too. She’s back," Ye Han said with a light, meaningful laugh. "She’ll find out what you did sooner or later. Aren’t you going to make a move?"
"You don’t need to provoke me."
With a light sweep of his sleeve, Jiang Li cleared the dust from a stone stool and sat down slowly. "Whether I make a move, and when, is for me to decide."
"I went to great lengths to save your life this time. Consider it compensation for what happened before. From now on, we are even."
Ye Han had hoped to use Jiang Li to deal with Chu Liangyu together, but he had also suspected it wouldn’t be that easy.
He never expected, however, that Jiang Li would want to sever their ties completely.
He shot to his feet in anger. "What do you mean by that? After we’ve worked together for so long, you’re just going to wash your hands of this?"
"Without me, you have no chance against her! You’ll end up even worse off than I did, you know that!"
Jiang Li gave him a strange look before slowly explaining, "I meant the matter of compensation is concluded. I never said I wanted to end our cooperation."
Ye Han’s face flushed red, then drained of color, making for quite the spectacle.
The atmosphere grew awkward. For a long moment, neither of them spoke.
"Alright, you need to rest. You should head back for now."
Ye Han was not oblivious to the clear dismissal, but Jiang Li’s explanation had put his mind at ease.
Thus, his expression returned to normal. He nodded and said, "Fine. If you make a move, remember to let me know."
"Alright."
After Ye Han left, a figure immediately appeared beside Jiang Li. It was the very same stall owner who had traded herbs with Chu Liangyu.
"Xiaoqi, what’s the situation?"
"We’ve received word. The ambush failed. They passed through safely."
Jiang Li was slightly surprised, but his expression didn’t change much. "It’s fine. The people she surrounds herself with were never useless to begin with."
"Have you brought Feng Qingqing?"
Xiaoqi nodded respectfully. "Yes. She is awaiting your command."
"Have her brought in."
A few moments later, Xiaoqi returned with a person in tow.
Obvious panic filled Feng Qingqing’s eyes, but she summoned her courage and demanded, "Why did you bring me here? What do you want?"
Jiang Li motioned for Xiaoqi to untie her. When he saw she had relaxed slightly, he said, "I know you’re looking for a method for female Beastification. I can help you, but I have one condition."
Feng Qingqing’s heart pounded in her chest. She grabbed Jiang Li’s hand abruptly. "Really?"
Jiang Li nodded and calmly withdrew his hand.
Realizing she had been impolite, Feng Qingqing took a few steps back. "If what you’re saying is true," she said, "I’ll agree to your condition."
