Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 75 - 74: Utterly Invigorated"We’re finally out! You have no idea how stifled I was in there every single day!" As they slowly ascended, Lou Sang’s eyes were filled with resentment as he glanced back at the palace behind them.
Chu Liangyu ignored his comment and asked instead, "Did those two lock you up?"
"As if they have the power to do that."
Chu Liangyu tilted her head to look at him, puzzled. "Then who else could have locked you up?"
Lou Sang didn’t speak. He simply raised a hand and pointed to the sky.
Chu Liangyu let out a soft "Oh." ’So it was that old man, the Heavenly Dao, who was behind this.’
"He’s got too much time on his hands."
Chu Liangyu said it aloud, completely unafraid.
Lou Sang, however, looked nervous. He cautioned her, "My lady, you’ve got some nerve. You’ll badmouth anyone, won’t you?"
"Relax. He won’t do anything to me."
Lou Sang was about to say more when a low rumble of thunder echoed faintly in their ears, as if in warning against her words.
The message was clear: don’t push your luck, or there would be consequences.
’That old man is as temperamental as ever,’ Chu Liangyu clicked her tongue and said no more.
On the surface of the sea, Ye Han was, surprisingly, still there.
From the looks of it, he was probably waiting to see if she had died.
Just as he was about to enter the water, he ran right into them.
"What a coincidence. I was just about to settle the score with you, Ye Han."
Chu Liangyu deliberately said his name to remind him that the real Chu Liangyu was back.
Ye Han’s light gray clothes were covered in bloodstains across the chest, making him look quite miserable.
Yet his expression was calm and composed, showing no trace of pain.
"You’re... her?"
Ye Han narrowed his eyes and took a few wary steps back.
His previous arrogance had all been based on the assumption that Chu Liangyu had not recovered.
If he were to truly face the original, he could barely survive even at his peak, let alone now, when he had lost a third of his energy and sustained these not-so-minor wounds.
His chances of survival were slim.
Alarm bells screamed in his mind. Without a moment’s hesitation, Ye Han chose to flee.
"He’s running. Aren’t you going to chase him?"
Lou Sang floated in mid-air, arms crossed, glancing at her as he spoke.
Chu Liangyu sneered. "He won’t get away."
This man had tried to kill her several times. How could she possibly let him go, even if he was once her Beast Husband?
The moment the words left her lips, a monstrous wave rose up before Ye Han and crashed down on him violently.
Sometimes, a person is truly insignificant in the face of a natural disaster.
Even with Ye Han’s considerable power, for a fleeting moment, he felt this very thing.
With one path blocked, Ye Han didn’t insist, instead heading in another direction.
But Chu Liangyu’s resolve to kill him was firm. How could she let him escape so easily?
Thus, no matter which direction Ye Han fled, she blocked his path.
"What’s this? Weren’t you so arrogant just a moment ago? Why the sudden urge to run?"
Chu Liangyu’s tone was disdainful, her eyes filled with even greater mockery. "And with just this, you delude yourself into thinking you can fight me for my position? You truly don’t know your own limits."
Chu Liangyu’s words were merciless. Ye Han’s expression turned uglier, the hand gripping his sword trembling uncontrollably. He was clearly enraged.
With a thought, a Crossbow Arrow formed from her trident appeared in her hand.
The arrows it fired were as large as the Black Sword in Ye Han’s hands.
At the same time, they were imbued with a sliver of her Divine Sense, locking onto Ye Han no matter how he tried to dodge, relentlessly pursuing him to the death.
The two had fought countless times before, so he instantly perceived how different these arrows were from the past.
He didn’t try to flee. Instead, he raised his longsword and viciously slashed the arrow in two.
That was just Chu Liangyu testing the waters. Immediately after, a countless volley of arrows shot toward him.
"How about it? Feeling good?"
Chu Liangyu showed no sign of fatigue. A smile played on her lips as she watched his wretched state, throwing the words he had once said right back at him.
An arrow was lodged in each of Ye Han’s shoulders. A trickle of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth, yet he didn’t cry out in pain.
With a cold expression, he pulled the arrows out, tossed them casually into the sea, and stood facing Chu Liangyu, silent.
"How boring."
Chu Liangyu pouted, feeling none of the satisfaction she’d expected from her revenge.
’Forget it. Dragging this out is just a waste of time.’
Chu Liangyu lowered her gaze, raised her hand, and several more arrows shot forth.
Fresh arrows pierced the very spots where he had just pulled them out. In addition, his thighs were now also riddled with them.
It wasn’t that Ye Han didn’t want to resist; he was simply exhausted.
The final arrow was twice the size of the previous ones, and it plunged into his chest with unstoppable force.
Fresh blood sprayed out like a fountain, its shape resembling an eerie red rose.
"That was a beautiful move! How come I’ve never seen you use it before?"
The crisp sound of Lou Sang’s applause rang out as he asked, his tone full of wonder as if he’d just discovered a new world.
Chu Liangyu shot him a sidelong glance. She hadn’t intended to answer, but she was in a good mood now, so she said patiently, "Just mastered it."
The two chatted idly as if no one else were around, while on the other side, Ye Han’s body fell straight into the water.
The blood stained the seawater, obscuring their view of the scene below.
Chu Liangyu caught something out of the corner of her eye, and her brow instantly furrowed.
Jiang Li. He was here too.
Seeing that Chu Liangyu wasn’t answering him, Lou Sang found it strange and followed her line of sight.
"You wasted your effort."
Lou Sang remarked faintly as he watched the two of them vanish into thin air.
’Jiang Li is a man full of contradictions, and he keeps his cards hidden well. Even now, she hasn’t figured out what he’s really concealing.’
’Take the Childbirth System, for instance. If she hadn’t been lucky enough to turn his own plot against him, she would have fallen into his trap long ago.’
"Sooner or later, I’m going to kill that bastard."
Her good mood instantly vanished into thin air. Chu Liangyu practically spat the words through gritted teeth.
"Now that things have come to this, what are you going to do next?"
Chu Liangyu withdrew her gaze. After a moment of thought, she remembered she still had two other Beast Husbands.
There were only two days left until the appointed meeting time.
"What else? Continue fighting for that position, and then kill those two."
Lou Sang didn’t look surprised in the slightest. "That figures."
As for Lou Sang himself, he would naturally stick by Chu Liangyu’s side.
The two of them soon returned to the spot where they had parted ways with Yu He and the others. But those two had not yet returned.
The heavy snow was still falling. Chu Liangyu’s robes were torn from that previous sword strike and splattered with blood.
Frowning, Chu Liangyu looked at her clothes with some disgust. "Do you have any clean ones?"
Lou Sang shrugged, indicating he was helpless. "Why on earth would I collect clothes?"
He was a magnificent World Spirit; the things on his body were all formed from energy. What style couldn’t he create if he wanted to? Why would he need to go find a specific piece of clothing?
Chu Liangyu thought for a moment, then rummaged around on his person and produced a large bag of Top Grade Spiritual Stones.
Then she opened a trade panel and tapped her finger on it.
[DING—Tradable items detected]
Before the trade panel could even finish displaying, Chu Liangyu spoke directly to her trading partner on the Cultivation Plane. "Ten Top Grade Spiritual Stones for two sets of your High Tier Defense Magical Robes. How about it?"
The person on the other side had a stunned expression, clearly not expecting to see her in person during this transaction.
