Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 74 - 73: She Has ReturnedChu Liangyu had stabbed him with a dagger before, but it hadn’t harmed him in the slightest. He couldn’t figure out why this time was different...
Watching the astonishment on his face, Chu Liangyu’s lips curved into a faint smile.
As it turned out, this was Xiong Jiaojiao’s idea. She had suggested coating the dagger with the juice of Blood-sealing throat grass; that way, there was no flesh it couldn’t cut through.
’And now was the perfect chance to use it on this guy.’
Chu Liangyu gave him no time to react. With a mere thought, her trident transformed into a crossbow.
Its silvery-white luster glinted coldly in the sun. She placed her other hand on the crossbow, pulled back lightly, and a Water Arrow shot out, heading straight for his head.
"So ruthless."
Ye Han sucked in a breath and hastily dodged.
Chu Liangyu sneered. "You want me to show mercy to someone who’s trying to kill me? Don’t be ridiculous."
A breath caught in Ye Han’s throat. He sneered back, "We’ll see who wins."
"That’s right. We’ll see who wins," Chu Liangyu retorted, her own momentum undiminished.
Even after being cut by Chu Liangyu, Ye Han acted as if nothing had happened, hovering steadily in the air.
Seeing this, Chu Liangyu’s gaze darkened. ’I refuse to believe this guy is invincible.’
Although she hadn’t had control of the wings for long, Chu Liangyu felt an incredible sense of familiarity, using them without any awkwardness.
While nimbly dodging his attacks, the arrows from her hand flew faster and faster.
No matter how fast Ye Han dodged, there were bound to be moments of carelessness.
The damage was minor, but it was enough to slow his movements.
Ye Han noticed this as well. While staying vigilant for Chu Liangyu’s sneak attacks, he grew increasingly impatient.
The intricate patterns on the Black Sword began to glow with a red light. He stopped dodging Chu Liangyu’s attacks and charged toward her, Black Sword in hand.
It was an obvious attempt at a head-on confrontation, and Chu Liangyu had no intention of falling for it. Just as he was about to get close, she used the trident’s power to vanish into thin air.
Ye Han’s sword strike hit nothing but air, and his expression turned ugly. This time, he couldn’t detect any trace of Chu Liangyu at all.
But so what?
He stood his ground, holding the Black Sword, without a hint of fear in his eyes.
Time passed, but there was still no movement.
Ye Han’s patience eventually ran out. He taunted, "If you can’t beat me, then come out and die. Stop hiding."
Yet, there was still no movement.
Ye Han’s heart skipped a beat. ’Don’t tell me she actually ran away?’
The trident’s invisibility had a time limit. Chu Liangyu was biding her time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Seeing that Ye Han seemed convinced she had fled and was starting to relax, a dark glint appeared in Chu Liangyu’s eyes.
Suddenly, Chu Liangyu materialized right in front of him, dagger in hand, and ruthlessly stabbed toward his chest.
"As you wish."
The sound of the dagger plunging into flesh echoed. A flicker of joy passed through Chu Liangyu’s eyes, but then she saw the corner of Ye Han’s mouth curve upward, as if he had expected this all along.
Chu Liangyu instantly sensed that something was wrong. She tried to pull back, but it was too late.
Ye Han’s Black Sword had somehow appeared behind her, and it pierced straight through her back.
Chu Liangyu violently spat out a mouthful of blood. The intense pain caused her senses to blur.
"How about that? Feels amazing, doesn’t it?"
Ye Han burst out laughing. Seeing her swaying unsteadily, he felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
It was a move that would wound the enemy by a thousand at the cost of eight hundred to himself, but it was a gamble he could afford to take.
But she, with only a fraction of her former power, had no room for failure.
"Yeah, it feels amazing."
Chu Liangyu was clearly in agony, yet she still had the energy to talk.
Ye Han was taken aback, and his expression turned cold. "It seems the wound is too shallow."
He raised his hand, and the Black Sword plunged deeper, bursting right through Chu Liangyu’s chest.
Her vision should have been blurry, but she could still clearly see the tip of the Black Sword.
HISS... The wound hurt even more.
’I was too hasty this time, I didn’t leave myself an escape route.’
But it seemed there were no second chances. In the end, she was still unwilling to accept it.
The Black Sword returned to Ye Han’s hand. After that final assault, Chu Liangyu didn’t even have the strength to lift her eyelids.
Her black wings drooped listlessly, and, covered in blood, she fell from the sky into the sea below.
Blood gushed from her wound, staining a large patch of the sea red.
The trident once again transformed into a stream of light, enveloping her legs. The pleasant, green fish tail appeared once more, but its master no longer had the strength to move it.
In the pitch-black seawater, the pale green fish tail glowed with a silvery, lustrous light, so full of life.
In the last moment before her consciousness faded, Chu Liangyu was still thinking, ’The trident is really stubborn. I’m about to die, why is it still so dedicated?’

The familiar trade panel appeared before her eyes. Chu Liangyu’s muddled consciousness suddenly cleared for a moment. She used the last of her strength to say, "Yes."
The pain of having a feather plucked was nothing compared to the wound in her chest. Chu Liangyu didn’t even frown.
In the very next moment, she felt a cool sensation spread across her face.
The mask that had long since merged into her body reappeared, transforming into a transparent little fish that fused with another small fish glowing with rainbow light.
The colorful fish instantly grew a size larger, then merged into the space between Chu Liangyu’s eyebrows.
After the coolness faded, Chu Liangyu felt a warmth spread throughout her body, and the pain from her wound seemed to disappear.
"Thank goodness, I wasn’t too late."
Sensing that Chu Liangyu had successfully fused her memories and abilities, the World Spirit let out a huge sigh of relief.
It had been years since he’d experienced anything so thrilling. This whole ordeal had left him reeling.
If he hadn’t reacted quickly and thought to use the Trading System, Chu Liangyu might have actually died.
And if that had happened, they would have truly lost...
Just thinking about that possibility gave the World Spirit heart palpitations.
If her soul still existed after death, the World Spirit was certain she would have grabbed him by the neck and demanded, "You said I could count on you for everything, and this is what I get?"
Something flickered across the youth’s face, but he quickly returned to normal.
"What are you spacing out for? Did you go stupid?"
The familiar tone made the World Spirit freeze, and his eyes reddened.
He looked up. Chu Liangyu stood before him, but her eyes and her aura were ultimately different now.
And she, she was back.
"No, I’m just happy you’re back."
A look of disdain appeared on Chu Liangyu’s face. "It’s been a while. Little Sangsang, you’ve really become more and more useless."
Lou Sang’s melancholic expression froze. He snapped irritably, "Well, aren’t you going to get me out of here first?!"
She paid no mind to Lou Sang’s rude tone, nodded, and said, "Fine."
A ball of energy gathered in her palm, and she suddenly struck the barrier with it.
Like ripples spreading across a calm water surface, it quieted down, and then with a POP, the barrier shattered.
