It wasn’t that he hadn’t thought of finding Chu Liangyu right away, but he was weighed down by so many cubs.

The words were a sharp sting. They say you shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds you.

"If you’re done eating, then give it back." Wen Yan’s temper flared, and he reached out to snatch the food right out of his mouth.

The herb booklet Chu Liangyu gave them was lost at some point, but fortunately, he had a good memory and had memorized all the herbs after looking through it just once.

Otherwise, it would have been much harder to find so many.

He had even thoughtfully dried them, knowing they were difficult to preserve.

In his spare time, he had also collected some seeds, hoping they would be of greater use in her hands.

"What are you smiling at?"

Having finished his meal at lightning speed, Yu Tu swallowed the last mouthful of food.

When he turned back around, the annoyed expression on Wen Yan’s face was gone.

The snow outside had finally let up a little. The accumulation was still thick, but for them in their beast forms, they could just about manage to travel.

A wide, beastly paw landed, leaving a massive, flower-like print in the snow. The CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH as it moved was surprisingly satisfying to hear.

Behind him, Wen Yan followed in his white rabbit form, hopping along.

"Can you hurry up?"

A rabbit’s hop could sometimes be faster than four-legged strides. Seeing Yu Tu’s pace, Wen Yan couldn’t help but hurry him along.

"I’m already going as fast as I can! Can’t you see how deep this snow is?"

Wen Yan fell silent. The snow was indeed quite deep, reaching all the way up to Yu Tu’s belly.

Before the two could get far, they were discovered.

Soon, the two of them were surrounded by the group.

Rabbit beastmen weren’t very strong fighters to begin with. On top of that, he had eaten little and was exhausted from the past few days. He could handle a few opponents, but any more and he was overwhelmed.

He barely managed to dodge a beastman’s sharp claws, and before he could even catch his breath, someone seized the opportunity to attack him from behind.
