I should have known, shouldn't I?

The fact that I didn't receive the quest reward for the war's completion meant the war wasn't over. And that should have been the dead giveaway.

"Rizevim…"

Sirzechs' power erupted behind me, his presence radiating strength equivalent to the peak of a Satan-Class being. Even with most of his power sealed, I could feel it clearly. I would lose against that devil.

And he wasn't the only one here I couldn't beat.

"I expected you, Sirzechs." Rizevim seemed completely unbothered, even with the King of Devils standing before him. "Though your involvement was something I anticipated after his death."

The descendant of the original Lucifer turned his gaze on me, eyes boring into my soul as if I were something filthy.

His fucking audacity.

"You… why are you here?" Vali asked, venom dripping from every word as he stared at his grandfather.

Tannin stayed quiet at the side, still recovering with the potion's help and completely exhausted.

Rizevim's massive demonic wings spread wide as he smiled, unbothered by the fact that a devil of equal strength stood before him, or that he was outnumbered.

"To be honest, I had no intention of fighting you here, Sirzechs." He didn't even bother looking at his grandson or the Dragon King beside him. To him, they weren't worth the effort.

Sirzechs was the only one who met his eye level, and even then, Rizevim clearly considered him inferior by blood alone.

"But it has been too long. Far too long since I left this revenge unfulfilled." His tone darkened. "You and the other filths, stealing what is rightfully mine and that of my dead comrades." His eyes shifted to Tannin. "Taking in lizards of far lower blood as equals."

Tannin's eyes sharpened, something feral flashing through them at the insult to his pride. But his demonic blood kept him in check, preventing a reckless attack. No matter how angry he was, the dragon knew he would die the moment he moved against Rizevim.

"And you…" Rizevim glanced at Vali for a moment before shaking his head. "I gave you a chance, yet you weren't worth it. I even took care of your father for you, and you still managed to disappoint me, boy."

"So you're here to fight?" Sirzechs finally asked. "With most of the Old Satan Faction dead, you're the only one left with enough power. Have you decided to finally involve yourself?"

Despite his composed tone, I noticed Sirzechs' fingers twitch. He was angry, furious even, but beneath it all was something else.

Nervousness.

And I knew why.

"If you fight," Tannin spoke up at last, his voice low after staying silent for so long. "One of you will die here."

Vali, despite his fatigue, burned through his remaining reserves and fully clad himself in his armor once more.

"And that will be you, grandfather." His voice was laced with poison. "The numbers are against you."

And that was exactly the problem.

My instincts were screaming at me.

Something's wrong.

A devil who had operated in the shadows for so long, who thrived through prolonged strategic chaos, wouldn't just appear like this. Not without a reason.

Not without an army. All alone, and seemingly without anything on him.

Something was horrifically wrong.

Why was he taking such a risk?

Sirzechs even burned his demonic power, surrounding his hands with the Power of Destruction.

"You can let them go, and we can do this some other day, Rizevim." Despite his anger at seeing him, Sirzechs still focused on his duty as a Devil King — protecting others.

However, I didn't want to leave.

Despite the danger. Despite the threat and the very real risk of losing my life.

I didn't want to leave.

I wanted to kill him myself. Even knowing I wasn't anywhere near his level, and that I didn't have enough energy to even last in a real fight.

And still, my heart felt like it was being torn apart. For trying to use me as a tool. And for what I owed this body.

Rizevim smiled and lifted his right arm — a strange demonic power swirling around it.

We expected an attack. Sirzechs was already prepared, his bloodline ability ready to counter.

But it wasn't an attack.

"Oh, I believe we can do this now."

Because what appeared in his hand… was an object.

[Emergency Quest Alert!]

A piece of flesh.

"We can do this now!"

[Quest: Asura's Retrieval!

Objective: Retrieve the piece of Asura's flesh from Rizevim Livan Lucifer.]

[Rewards: ???]

He closed his fist tightly around the dried flesh, and his power immediately exploded — shattering the very space around him, along with his own cells.

And my eyes showed me something that screamed one thing.

Run.

"Run."

Lucifer muttered.

—Serafall Leviathan—

"N-No!"

Her heart dropped, her body going cold the instant she felt that surge of power. Her wings stiffened, forcing her to halt mid-flight.

"That… what was that?" Carmilla shuddered as she stopped as well. "No way that's the power and presence of a living being."

Serafall's mind could barely process that energy. She had felt it once before, an extremely long time ago, and even then, it hadn't been this developed.

"That… is not something we c-can handle." Serafall said, her voice trembling. "We will die."

Carmilla froze at that statement.

"What is it?" she asked. "What could make you this terrified?"

She wasn't any better herself. Her legs were shaking, her body screaming at her not to move toward the source of that eerie presence. It was greater than anything she had ever felt.

Even when she stood before a literal god of another faction, she hadn't felt this afraid. But now, she couldn't afford fear.

She was the head of a faction. She was responsible for keeping her people safe.

But Serafall looked at Carmilla, her eyes darkening.

"You don't understand," she said. "This… is not a threat we can handle." A warning laced her voice. "The only one who can match it is already there. And if he clashes with that thing… one will die. And no one around them will survive."

Carmilla was completely out of the loop. She couldn't fully grasp what Serafall was saying, but instinct told her one thing.

If she went there, she wouldn't come back without losing something.

"What… exactly is it?" Carmilla asked, unable to remain in the dark any longer.

"Something horrible," Serafall bit her lip. "Something only those who have surpassed the shackles of logic and common sense can achieve." She looked Carmilla dead in the eye. "Only three devils have managed it so far. Not the original Satans, not their strongest soldiers… but three. Sirzechs, Ajuka… and this presence is Rizevim's."

Carmilla was stunned.

Rizevim was here? Why would he be here? She couldn't understand it.

With King Tepes captured, he had no reason to fight.

And yet… how was Rizevim exuding such a presence?

"What you're feeling is the state a devil reaches after surpassing the limits of logic and flesh." Serafall explained, swallowing hard. "They become demonic power itself, shaped by their traits. In this state, a devil stands on the level of the highest-class gods… the kings of gods… even surpassing most of them."

Carmilla's eyes widened as the meaning finally sank in.

Matching a high-level god was already insane.

Matching, and surpassing, the kings of gods?

That was terrifying.

"This state… is called the True Form," Serafall muttered. "And only Falbium and I have ever survived witnessing it in person."

Carmilla hesitated, but a flicker of hope slipped into her voice. "So… it is possible to survive it?"

Serafall's expression darkened as she shook her head, leaving the vampire queen confused.

"We only lived," she said quietly, "because they allowed us to."

{Moments Later}

—Ingvild Leviathan—

She was injured, limping, and wearing a completely flabbergasted expression.

"How… are you here?" she asked the dragon who looked barely able to stand. "There are still anti-teleportation runes active."

She was already unsettled by the horrifying presence she'd felt earlier, and now Bova had somehow appeared before her, while Faiser remained near that terrifying source — all without their support.

"I-I don't know," the dragon said. "I just felt a slight burning, and then my body was forcefully teleported here. I didn't even intend to move."

Ingvild couldn't explain it either. She had felt that same faint burning sensation Bova described.

It burned for a moment, then cooled.

The exact same feeling she'd experienced when Faiser first woke her.

And suddenly, it clicked.

"C-Can you… feel his presence?" she asked. "His demonic signature, around you?"

Bova looked confused for a split second, then his eyes widened.

"This…" He looked down at himself, and there it was. Faiser's demonic signature surrounded his body, like a shroud of aura invisible to the eye.

"I don't know what he did," Ingvild said softly, "but it feels like I'm with him… or that he's with me."

And she wasn't wrong.

They could feel it, in a way, but they couldn't see or hear anything.

After all, only Faiser could see and hear the Asura System.

[Mark of Asura: Peerage ability sharing has been activated.]

Even without realizing it, they were helping him beyond belief.

{A/N: Got a pat reon named RedLamp01 with 30+ chapters + Other Stories. }

True Form is a tricky subject to deal with and Rizevim and Sirzechs fighting will definitely involve it. And to even match a fraction of it, everyone will have to use everything they have — even Faiser.

Currently, Faiser is at Satan class and the difference between Ultimate Class and Satan Class is that of a coughing baby and a hydrogen bomb. And if we compare his current stage (Satan Class) with True Form Rizevim (Super Class), it's the same as the Dying Ant vs Hypernova meme.

So, yeah, there is that.
