—Rizevim Livan Lucifer—
Asura.
That was a name he'd heard long ago, back when Lucifer still lived. Even then, the progenitor of devils seemed uneasy whenever it was spoken, as if a dead being could still threaten him.
Rizevim never understood why Lucifer treated the name with such respect. Years later, after Lucifer had passed, he began piecing together the tiny fragments of Asura—and his investigation began.
At first, he believed only one fragment existed: a shard of the Asura Heart. Later, he learned that Lilith had acquired a piece as well—and when she disappeared, so did it.
He assumed it was lost… until he traced signs of Lilith in the Vampire lands. Chasing the possibility that his mother still lived, Rizevim uncovered the artefact of the Tepes Faction, which led him to spend years scheming to seize it.
He even gave up once, after experimenting on the Heart Fragment and moving on with his work—but when Faiser ran off with it, he had no choice but to track the artifact back, which resulted in the near annihilation of the Tepes Faction.
Still, he succeeded.
Now, he held one of only two known pieces of Asura—a being he knew nothing about, but suspected to be on par with God. Otherwise, why would Lucifer have feared it?
He couldn't make the fragment fully his. That was the hard truth. With Faiser being the fragment's true owner, and the piece accepting him, Rizevim had no claim.
For the fragment to acknowledge him, he had to kill Faiser.
And for that, he borrowed the fragment's minuscule power—the only portion he could force out.
"Gah!"
Clenching the piece tightly, saturating it with his demonic power, he forced the dormant energy of the Asura shard to awaken.
The instant it stirred, his hand burned. The fragment's power was so potent, it was almost impossible to hold—but he refused to let go.
Why would he?
Even in its violent, chaotic form, the piece was filling him with an energy that transformed into Demonic Power the moment it seeped inside.
Asura's true essence had no element of its own. So when Rizevim tried to wield it, the energy reshaped itself into his demonic power.
It tore through his seals, unlocking his true strength as a Super Class Devil.
The power burned through muscle and skin, erasing his physical form and reassembling it as pure demonic energy.
The air around him twisted. Space cracked. The ground trembled violently beneath his feet.
"This!" he laughed, despite the pain. "This is it!"
His voice was no longer his own. His vocal cords were gone; nothing about him remained physical. Even his words were made of magic, projected directly into the ears of anyone listening.
Seeing him in this state, Sirzechs didn't hesitate. He gathered the Power of Destruction around his arm and unleashed a swirling energy capable of erasing matter itself.
Rizevim barely reacted. With a single finger, he trapped the attack in a sphere of pure demonic energy—a sort of magical subspace.
"Did you truly think your power has no weakness, Sirzechs?" he mocked. "Every single one of the Seventy-Two has a weakness."
With a twirl of his finger, the sphere containing Sirzechs's attack vanished into thin air.
"Years," the energy-made devil said, "I've spent years studying every weakness of the Seventy Two—and you are no different."
The Power of Destruction erased everything it touched—anything with mass. But that was also its weakness.
If something had no mass, or if the attack was intercepted without contact, it could be stopped.
That was exactly how he erased the attack—by ensuring it never touched anything. The sphere trapped it without contact.
His eyes flicked to the two approaching attacks, irritating nuisances.
'Foolish child.' He waved his hand, annoyed, and the White Dragon Emperor rushing at him with all its might was thrown a full mile away.
Vali's armor cracked as his body slammed into a rocky hill, knocking him unconscious.
From the other side came Tannin's fire breath—but Rizevim didn't even bother dodging. His body couldn't be harmed by physical attacks, and it became obvious the moment the flames touched him.
Instead of burning him, the heat converted into energy, strengthening him even further.
"Don't!" Sirzechs shouted. "It will only help him!"
Sirzechs knew perfectly well that Rizevim's form wasn't something defeat-able by ordinary means.
After all, Sirzechs had the form too—but the problem was he needed a trigger to activate it fully. On his own, he would require time to reach his True Form, and Rizevim wasn't about to give him that time.
Yet while Sirzechs focused on preventing Rizevim from awakening his True Form, someone else had already awakened something else.
<Sea Serpent of the End>
He had ignored the boy with the Asura Heart—Faiser.

[Asura Fragment in Proximity]
[Enemy Threat Level Beyond Containment]
What I'm witnessing… is the True Devil Form, isn't it?
The hair on my arms stood on end at its mere presence—proof that this was indeed the True Devil Form.
[Removing restrictions for Satan Class Asura Skills]
[Satan Class Asura Skills awakening in 60 seconds]
[Peerage Ability Sharing has been awakened]
I had no idea what other skills were unlocking, but I knew exactly what this one was.
[Peerage Members: Ingvild Leviathan (Queen), Bova Tannin (Rook)]
[You can use abilities possessed by individuals in your peerage and those marked with the Asura Mark. Abilities of marked Peerage members don't consume additional demonic power; unmarked abilities require power proportional to the threat level of the skill.]
I don't have any additional Asura Mar—wait! I do have one.
[Imprinted Individuals: Ingvild Leviathan, Bova Tannin, Sairaorg Bael]
My mind immediately went to Sairaorg's Regulus Nemea—but the system didn't allow it.
[Regulus Nemea is not a copyable skill, as Sairaorg Bael isn't a natural gear wielder.]
That left me with only one option—just as the True Form Devil turned his head toward me, after utterly destroying Vali.
[Ingvild Leviathan's Sea Serpent of the End borrowed]
I was running low on Demonic Power, so the peerage discount was a lifesaver.
<Sea Serpent of the End>
Without any large water bodies present, the attack wasn't at full strength—but it still worked.
The singular sea serpent that formed was massive, enough to completely block Rizevim's vision.
"Now!" I yelled—and Sirzechs didn't disappoint.
He released a single ray of Demonic Power, his Power of Destruction, shooting forward like a laser.
The water serpent did nothing to him—but by the time Rizevim canceled it out—which I remembered as one of his abilities, nullifying most attacks, especially sacred gear abilities—it was already too late.
Sirzechs' attack had pierced his chest, tearing a hole through his energy form.
"Gah!" The True Form devil groaned—but that was fucking it. "You fuckers!"
A True Form devil wasn't something we could defeat with our current abilities.
"Sirzechs," Tannin spoke from the corner, still recovering from Rizevim's earlier assault. "Don't you have an ability like his?"
I didn't know how Tannin figured that out, but he wasn't wrong.
We needed Sirzechs to use his True Form if we wanted to stand a chance. Rizevim had already fully recovered, drawing from the Asura piece he still clutched with all his life.
"I need time!" Sirzechs clicked his tongue. "At least five minutes to undo the seals. If I do it abruptly, everyone—including you—would die."
He was lucky.
[Satan Class Asura Skills have been awakened]
[Asura's Siphon: You can drain up to 80% energy from anyone you have left the Asura Mark on.]
This was practically Absorb—but without class restrictions or distance limits. As long as I had marked individuals, I could regain energy.
Unfortunately, Ingvild and Bova were already exhausted. That left me with limited options.
Draw twenty percent energy from Ingvild and Bova, eighty percent from Sairaorg.
I felt bad doing it—but there was no choice.
[Drawing energies from marked individuals.]
"I'll handle him for five minutes!" I shouted. "Unseal your form!"
[Asura's Wrath: Enter a state of complete invulnerability for three minutes. No physical, magical, or mental attacks can affect you. Your attacks are boosted by 300% and cost no demonic power during this time. Afterward, your entire energy reserves are drained.]
Cannot start with it—not yet.
"You cannot handle him for five minutes!" Sirzechs yelled, striking at the True Devil to keep him away from me.
"Trust me!" I transformed my bracelet into a spear. "Unseal yourself!"
"Listen to him!" Tannin yelled, covering the unconscious White Dragon Emperor.
Sirzechs had no choice. Without his True Form, he would lose. Even without confidence, he decided to listen.
"Don't… die." Saying that, he clasped his hands, gathering an obscene amount of demonic power around his body.
As for dying? I had no intention of doing that so early.
<Dragon Flames>
Samael's Curse and Divinity Eater were useless against True Form Rizevim, so flames had to do the job.
With the fire, I threw the spear with all my strength.
"I'll be taking the Asura Heart, boy," Rizevim scoffed, extending his palm toward the spear. "Tricks don't work here."
He released a sphere of concentrated demonic energy, carrying his trait. I knew the spear would be destroyed if it touched him.
So I had to draw out my recently replenished Demonic Power.
<Wield (Space): Void Room>
<Wield (Time): Deceleration>
The wield abilities consumed a disgusting amount of demonic power—just those two devoured about a fifth of everything I'd recovered.
But they worked.
Space warped around the attack, and time slowed it.
The strike lost all its momentum, the swirl collapsed, and the path was clear for the spear to hit him.
Sadly, it didn't matter.
"Weak."
Even after all that, Rizevim grabbed the spear with his bare hands, shattering it instantly and forcing it back into bracelet form.
The flames wrapped around him, which wasn't good. Like Tannin's fire, mine converted to energy, strengthening him even more.
Fire was useless. Tannin couldn't help. Vali was out cold. Sirzechs still had about four minutes before he could participate. I had to stall.
<Bind>
"Interesting," the devil said, making my eyes widen as he seized the chains. "So, these are the legendary Valefar abilities."
He… he could see my chains?
Without another word, the devil made of pure demonic power tore through the chains, freeing himself in an instant.
No… it has to work!
I wasted no time.
<Bind>
<Sever>
Higher-tier beings might suffer minor scrapes from Sever, but here—Rizevim's entire arm was cut clean off. For a fleeting moment, I felt joy.
A mere second's joy.
"Fucking monster…"
Tannin was right. This was a fucking monster.
Because in under a second, the severed arm had fully recovered, regrowing as if it had never been cut.
"As I said," he scoffed, his voice projected directly into my ear, dripping with annoyance. "Weak!"
His demonic power shot at me like a bullet, leaving me with no choice.
It had been about two and a half minutes since Sirzechs began the unsealing process. I decided it was time to use my last resort.
<Asura's Wrath>
I felt my eyes burn, my body heat up, my muscles swell.
"Lousy tricks won't work!" Rizevim yelled, trying to unleash another attack.
But my mind told me to ignore it. It told me to focus on this feeling.
And I did.
I felt my body harden beyond belief, as if turned entirely to rock. It was as if I contained all the demonic power in the world within me.
[Your defensive abilities are impenetrable for the next three minutes.]
I felt unstoppable.
[All your abilities cost no demonic power for the next three minutes.]
I felt… invincible.
