Chapter 277: YOU’RE A MAN, AREN’T YOU?

Chapter 277 - YOU’RE A MAN, AREN’T YOU?

"Although your face isn’t much to look at, I suppose your Noble Art is somewhat useful," Shizuku scoffed.

Internally, she was genuinely surprised.

Using a Noble Art for something as mundane as cleaning sanitation was practically unheard of.

But since Roy had such magic, it meant she was effectively exempt from her punishment.

As the pampered princess of the Kurogane family, she had never scrubbed a toilet in her life.

This was the one and only silver lining to this disastrous morning.

Of course, she wasn’t about to openly thank the annoying guy who had stolen her first kiss.

"Are you really in a position to talk big, Miss third place?" Stella glared from the side.

"What’s wrong with being third place?!" Shizuku also glared at Stella.

She already felt overshadowed by her in terms of both physical development and raw magical capacity.

She didn’t appreciate the reminder.

"Nothing is wrong with it. But if you want to look down on the Rank one and Rank two students like Roy and me..." Stella smiled smugly, putting her hands on her hips.

"You should at least try surpassing us first."

Grrr...

Shizuku’s sound of grinding her teeth was clearly audible.

She forced a painfully tight smile.

"Here in Japan, we advocate for civilized freedom of speech."

"We don’t subscribe to the barbaric notion that whoever has the biggest fist has the loudest voice. Do you understand... you country princess?"

"Is that so?" Stella replied indifferently, brushing a strand of hair over her shoulder.

"It seems Japan has derailed from the rest of the world then."

"I pay close attention to international affairs, and let me tell you, universally speaking... whoever has the biggest fist dictates the rules!"

"Tsk!" Shizuku clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"Shizuku, please. These two are my good friends. Don’t be so rude," Ikki finally intervened, stepping between them.

"Understood, Onii-sama," Shizuku’s demeanor shifted at once, giving her brother a warm angelic smile.

"However... how did Onii-sama manage to form a relationship with these two...?"

Catching Ikki’s mild frown at her phrasing, she quickly corrected herself.

"I mean, how did you become friends? I’m very curious."

"Well, it’s an honor to be friends with Roy and Stella," Ikki chuckled, scratching the back of his head.

From an outsider’s perspective, it truly was bizarre for an F Rank knight to be walking side-by-side with two A Rank knight.

"Mutual appreciation," Roy answered smoothly.

"Mutual appreciation?" Shizuku narrowed her eyes at Roy.

Seeing no deceit in his expression, she offered a slightly more sincere smile.

"I apologize for my rude words earlier. As a friend of my Onii-sama, you certainly have an eye for talent. However..."

Shizuku snorted softly and looked away.

She didn’t finish her sentence but Roy knew exactly what she meant.

She still wasn’t going to forgive him for the stolen kiss anytime soon.

As the four of them exited the academic building, a tall, slender figure came jogging toward them with an elegant swaying gait.

"Are you all alright?!"

Alice rushed up to the group, his eyes sweeping over them anxiously before locking onto Ikki.

He immediately stepped into Ikki’s personal space, his hands lightly running over Ikki’s shoulders and chest as if checking for injuries.

"When I got out of homeroom, I heard you were dragged away by the Chairwoman for fighting!"

Ikki went completely rigid.

A deeply uncomfortable smile froze on his face as Alice patted him down.

He didn’t dare move a muscle.

"Hey! Who do you think you are?!"

Before Ikki could say a word, Shizuku jumped up like a startled cat.

She glared at Alice, her eyes tracking his hands as they lingered on Ikki.

"Ah, you must be Sister-chan," Alice breathed a sigh of relief upon confirming Ikki was unharmed.

He turned to Shizuku and offered a warm polite smile.

"I’m Ikki’s roommate, Nagi Arisuin. It’s so very nice to meet you."

"Sister-chan?" Shizuku twitched at the overly close address.

She suppressed her rising irritation, forcing a polite smile.

"My name is Shizuku Kurogane. You may call me Kurogane. There is no need for such intimate titles."

"After all, I’m Onii-sama’s sister. I have no desire to be anyone else’s."

"Oh, you never know," Alice smiled nonchalantly, completely unfazed by her words.

"Perhaps you really will become my sister one day."

"Thank you but I can manage perfectly well on my own," Shizuku replied smoothly.

"It’s impossible for me to become your sister."

"Is it?" Alice tilted his head.

"I’m actively pursuing Ikki. If Ikki accepts my feelings, I will become your sister-in-law."

"In that case, you would be my sister too?"

"Huh?"

A barrage of invisible question marks flooded Shizuku’s mind.

Her brain short-circuited as she tried to process the sheer absurdity of the statement.

"You... what did you just say?" Shizuku stammered, staring blankly at Alice and then at Ikki who looked like he wanted to disappear.

"You... want to pursue my Onii-sama?"

She almost stuttered asking the question.

This entire concept existed so far outside her understanding that she couldn’t compute it.

"Yes," Alice nodded honestly.

"YOU’RE A MAN, AREN’T YOU?!"

Having received confirmation, Shizuku’s elegant, perfectly composed facade finally shattered.

She pointed a trembling finger at Alice and shrieked.

"That statement is a bit inaccurate," Alice replied, tapping his cheek with a cute expression.

He smiled brightly.

"I’m simply a maiden who was cast into the wrong body. I just accidentally ended up with a boy’s physical form."
