Kael sat quietly in the room, with Py on his lap as he read the ancient-looking book in his hand.

The next information accessible to him was on classes. As he already knew, they were divided into 7 ranks.

Common.

Rare.

Elite.

Epic.

Legendary.

Mythical.

And finally…

Primordial.

However, what Kael just found out was that from the epic rank upward, each rank was further divided into ten tiers, with 1 as the highest and 10 as the lowest. The specific tier a class was in would only be unlocked after continuous integration with the system. And the only way to improve one's class rank was through the use of achievement points. Something Kael was finding more and more difficult to gather, as he had always fought with a group.

Kael shook his head in defeat and continued reading the text appearing at the end of the second page.

Apparently, once a person broke into the First Order, the EXP plan the system had already revealed would be refreshed. No First Order existence would receive EXP from killing an Awakened. From level 25, a common-rank awakened would require 20 EXP to level up to level 26. 30 EXP to level 27, 40 to level 28, and so on. As before, a rare-rank awakened would require twice the EXP of a common-rank awakened at the same level. An elite would require three times as much, an epic rank four times, a legendary six times, a mythical eight times, and ???, which Kael knew was Primordial, would require a full whopping ten times the EXP a common-rank awakened would.

Kael sighed in dejection when he got to this point. He could only thank his lucky stars, unwilling to give any credit to the annoying system, for the special night event. If not, he didn't even want to imagine how long it would take him to level up.

Finally, once a person broke into the First Order, they received 10 natural stat points per level instead of the previous five. Not to mention that rather than being spread across all their natural stats, they would be added to the stats that fit the specialization of their class.

For example, Kael would bet someone like Alice would have her ten points spread between her Strength and Agility stats. At the same time, the free attribute points granted also doubled, which meant instead of 1 free attribute point, a common rank would receive 2, a rare rank would receive 4, an elite 6, an epic 8, and so on and so forth.

The more Kael read, the more he realized the immense gap between a First Order existence and an Awakened.

‘Isn't this too much? What happened to jumping realms to fight like in novels?’

‘Besides, this is only the first realm of cultivation. I can almost picture how the gap between realms will widen exponentially.'

He sighed once more and turned the page.

Here, Kael received information on special events the system curated for the fast evolution of its users.

Currently, only information about the special night event was recorded, and the more Kael read, the graver his expression became.

Turns out the summoning of the creatures was based on probability, one the book didn't state clearly. But what it did make clear was that the more people there were in an area, the higher the chances of creatures being summoned.

‘Is that why there was no event yesterday?’

Kael had watched as those two siblings from the boys' dorm had been killed by the elite Cracker. Just remembering the sight of that little girl made Kael shut his eyes, his breath quickening. It took some time for him to get hold of his emotions and suppress his guilt.

Rose had also told him how the surviving group had lost half of its members and how those who had hidden in the hall were slaughtered.

‘Seems the chances of us facing those monsters have decreased.’

He didn't know how to feel regarding this. On one hand, their safety would be more guaranteed, but on the other, it was only because of these creatures that he and the others had been able to experience monstrous growth these past few days. It must be remembered that according to the EXP system, they would only receive ten percent of the EXP the other party possessed at their level when killed. Such a thing would make leveling so difficult for the others, not to mention someone like him.

‘Well, it's not as if I plan to level up anytime soon.’

But this wasn't what made his expression increasingly grave.

Turns out these creatures were being summoned around the world. This meant what they faced might be summoned to another group the next time. This ensured that as humans grew stronger, so too did the monsters.

“Bloody hell…”

It also meant that the appearance of these creatures resulted in more human deaths somewhere else.

He could only sigh at the complicated feelings he was experiencing. But when his eyes landed on the last line on this particular page, his heart couldn't help but skip a beat.

[Special night event immediately ends once ten members of a race has broken into the Second Order.]

[Next special event: Insufficient authority]

Kael was still pondering what he had just learned when the book in his hands suddenly combusted. He quickly tried to retreat, only to remember his back was against the wall.

Thankfully, the Archive Fragment merely turned into ashes without bringing him any harm.

Kael didn't even care to think that the Archive Fragment had truly earned its price. Instead, he was feeling conflicted about how to move forward.

‘Is it really okay for me to stall my growth at this point?’
