ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]
CHAPTER 94: SECOND WILL'Ah...'
Kael's eyes seemed to regain some of their focus.
'Didn't I already know how?'
FORGE YOUR STRENGTH!
The three words reverberated within his mind, booming through his consciousness with such force that the beams of light shooting from Kael's eyes seemed to sharpen further.
"ENOUGH!"
- TTANG!
The sound of a hammer smashing down on an anvil reverberated through the area.
Logan and Daniel grunted, their eyes briefly blanking out. They felt as if a hammer had smashed directly into their consciousness, their thoughts scattering as their awareness nearly winked out.
But while they experienced this, Kael felt something totally different.
He didn't fight his compromised position and instead allowed himself to fall.
The spear was the first to reach despite appearing late.
Kael twisted his body with all his might, the flickering flames surrounding him from the still-active Ember Regeneration making him look like a falling comet.
The glistening spearhead flashed just barely past his head, taking a few strands of his hair with it.
At the same time, the magical construct flew into the skies, while Logan's hammer smashed into the space Kael had just occupied.
But contrary to what the latter expected, the hammerhead seemed to defy the laws of gravity and stopped just before colliding with its master's body.
What a joke.
How could a Soul Weapon affect its wielder?
Kael barely took note of this before he fell to the ground.
Mixed Martial Arts kicked in, supported by Combat Trance, and with a graceful movement, he swiftly rolled back and jumped to his feet.
Still airborne, his eyes locked onto his two attackers, the duo having broken free from the strange state they had been placed in.
'Forge your strength!'
Kael repeated within his mind like a mantra.
Daniel's face twisted.
He couldn't believe that despite cornering Kael almost perfectly, the latter would still escape almost unscathed from their combined assault.
A bronze aura erupted from him, a shocking wave of pressure incomparable to Logan's spreading throughout the area.
The liquid metal hidden within the earth rose and appeared at his side, and with a masterful twist of his hands, his Soul Weapon divided into several mercury-like droplets that blotted out the skies.
He activated his Titles, his Mind stat jumping up by a whopping sixty points and his Agility enhanced by another twenty.
His control over his Soul Weapon spiked, and his hands blurred as he waved them as if directing an orchestra.
Weapons of different types appeared within the skies: needles, darts, arrows, and spears.
The projectiles hung above like a storm waiting to descend.
"Go!"
With a command, the attack surged forward, raining down like a silver tempest.
Logan at the side didn't remain idle.
He stomped on the earth with a serious look on his face, his mouth opening to evoke one of his new skills.
"Hands of Earth!"
- BANG!
Two massive hands, each three meters wide and two meters high, glowing with a dirty earthen light, rose from the ground a short distance from Kael's sides.
Then, as if trying to clap a fly, they closed in from opposite directions.
While all this sounded long to describe, the truth was that Kael's feet had just landed when the attacks flew in from every direction.
He felt as if the world was trying to suffocate him and a mountain was pressing down upon him.
Yet, Kael didn't seem to care about the attacks trying to wipe him from existence, his eyes falling on the screen only he could see.
[Congratulations! You have awakened the Will, Forging Will]
[You are the first person in your world to awaken two Wills]
[You have received 100 AP and an Epic Item]
His gaze remained cool despite the shocking lines of text dancing before his eyes.
Just a few days ago, he had awakened what the system called a Will, and now he seemed to have unlocked another?
He wasn't sure.
In fact, Kael couldn't find it in himself to care.
After all, he didn't feel any great changes in his body.
Just like before, there was no increase in his stats, no new skill in his arsenal, nor any boost in power.
'Yet...'
Kael's eyes focused back on the present, his gaze shooting out two beams of light that seemed to pierce into the souls of his attackers.
'This time feels different somehow.'
The more he repeated those three words in his mind, the more he felt himself, his core, his essence resonating with something mysterious.
Even now, he didn't know why those words seemed so special to him.
It was almost as if they had been imprinted into his mind, carved into his body, and etched into his very soul.
But as he caught the scent of death once again, as he watched his fellow humans try to kill him just so they could cast aside their morals, Kael knew what he had to do.
For the first time since he was ambushed, Kael opened his mouth, causing a bad feeling to well up within Daniel's heart.
He hadn't said a word when he was suddenly thrown off the railing.
He hadn't said a word when he watched Py be eviscerated before his eyes.
He hadn't said a word when his body collided with the ground and he felt his bones turn to mush, his body almost breaking completely apart.
Yet now?
"Forge my strength!"
A look of confusion appeared in Daniel's eyes while Logan laughed out.
"What nonsen—"
He didn't get to finish his words.
- TTANG! TTANG! TTANG! TTANG!
The booming sounds of a hammer slamming into an anvil shook the area once more.
They seemed to come from the depths of space itself, and this time the sounds were even louder, the impact far stronger.
The world seemed to disappear around Kael.
And slowly, his body also faded away.
Then, within the darkness of space and the silence of the void, a small green flame suddenly flickered into existence.
Kael felt as if he and this fire were one and the same.
It was a very strange sensation to put into words.
The flame looked weak, but every Ttang! that reverberated outside caused it to burn brighter.
With every flicker of the mesmerizing fire, Kael felt as if his essence was being molded, forged into something greater, refined beyond its limits, and reborn into a stronger version of itself.
Outside, the clanging sounds seemed to reach a fever pitch.
TTANG! TTANG! TTANG!
Daniel and Logan blanked out once again, lines of blood leaking from their noses and ears.
Yet their attacks continued relentlessly, uncaring of their condition.
Just when the attacks were about to reach him, Kael took a deep breath.
His eyes closed shut, his gauntlets disappeared and two handguns appeared within his hands.
His ENERGi glowed through his veins like raging sea serpents before pouring into the firearms, the hieroglyphs on the guns glowing so brightly that they rivaled the stars above.
Kael dumped the rest of his energi into his Agility and Mind stats.
With Godly Focus, the effect on the latter was increased by a further 150%.
His perception spread outward, mapping every projectile about to skewer him.
His Danger Sense surged to the forefront of his mind, acting like a driver about to take the front seat.
And then...
He let go.
- BANG!
Thus began a deadly dance.
