The rebelling survivors in the corridor shook like dry leaves caught in a tempest, as they watched the situation unfold in the ruins before them.

The guns that had filled them with a feeling of safety fell from their hands, and soon after, the sounds of sobs filled the area.

How could he not? When the monster they had attacked had single-handedly decimated their supposed leaders.

What were they supposed to do now? Fight him? What a joke! Those were First Orders, and they had been wrecked!

They were only students, and beginner firearm mastery or not, not a single one of them had ever taken a life before.

Not that they had the strength to, anyway.

Back on the battlefield.

Kael gazed at Rachel indifferently. From his flat look, one wouldn't guess the shocking wave of pain tearing through his body. Nor would one imagine such a placid expression on the face of someone inches away from taking a life.

Kael couldn't guess for the life of him how Rachel had managed to draw close to him. Despite having his entire attention on Logan, he still didn't dare lose awareness of his surroundings. After all, Logan wasn't his only enemy.

Yet even now, he could still hear the painful grunts coming from afar, Ben's voice having acted as background music for his brutal brawl with Logan.
