Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1848 - 1847 - What Happened?

Lind was very groggy when he woke up. He was brimming with energy in his body but it did not seem to translate to a clear mind. There were noises, shadows, and blurry figures all round him in his limited aura.

The last thing he remembered was losing his temper and then it all went blank. He blinked his eyes and then went to rub them when he realized he was in his dragon body.

He looked around once more and frowned. He saw many people working and organizing the basic outline of the foundation of buildings. He had seen it many times before and while that scene would not be too hard to accept, what was hard was he recognized many people!

He saw Sun whirling on his staff as he laughed and caused chaos in limited ways that drew only some shouting and shaken fists.

He saw Harmonic Dragons in the distance settling in the mountains and valleys he could perceive at the edge of his aura. He could not get many more details but it was better than before.

He also felt like he had a better grasp of his dantian. It was no longer as murky as it had been before. He could conjure not just simple elemental power but he could extract the essence of materials!

He was still mystified at the current events. He had been surrounded by desolation before his mind went blank and now a lush world was all around him! Moreover, he recognized all 18 elements happily interacting with ease.

Compared to his Emerald Haven or Seeds he had created to nurture treasures, it made him look like a child playing with wood blocks! The rich Qi also came to his level! Eternal Qi was being generated outside his body!

No one was being harmed by it, which confused him more, but it was a happy revelation.

[Finally awake, boy?] The old man appeared next to him. He was healed and in far better shape! How long had he been out?!

As if reading his mind, a gold white light washed across his vision and he saw all that had happened.

There was no timescale but the speed was not accelerated. Lind was able to count and felt his heart thunder in his chest! He had done all that in such a short time?! How?!

[It is important to remember your intent can call your power. The simpler or stronger an intent, the more potent the reaction. Something that touches on your foundation or Dao will always cause dramatic effects if you are not careful.] He proceeded to demonstrate his words and Lind quickly grasped it.

The most basic issue was his aura. Rather than trying to regulate the power, he had to clearly imagine what he wanted to learn without harming lower realm cultivators. He also could narrow the focus beyond what his aura could ever do before!

His knowledge of science, no matter how basic, allowed him to see the world beneath the surface! Atoms were one thing he expected, even if he could not identify them all but there was Qi there as well! It was present even inside single atoms.

Further, he could not safely go over the contents of his ring. He had likely lost a few records due to his rough collection of them, but he would learn a lot!

"Wha–?" The old man held up his hand and pointed at his head.

[They cannot see us but they can hear us. Your words are still a problem.] Lind tilted his massive head but did not question it.

[What happened exactly? How did I cause all this?] Lind felt so happy how transmission contact came back to him now. The old man smiled but looked beyond Lind.

Lind turned and saw the pair of women were imprinting jade slips as they took extensive notes on everything.

[Exact details would be better from that old hag and her daughter. The short version, however, was you had a very clear intent and you put all your power into it unconsciously. I must say though, you are very thorough.] Lind then looked around and his eyes went wide.

[Did I–Did I manifest them?] Divine Memory could do that and he was beyond Heaven and Earth. Yet, his question only made the old man shake as he tried to contain his laughter.

[While you might be able to make a pretty decent projection, you could not recreate a whole cast of memories into this. No, you did something stunningly impossible. You made an ascension pool.] Lind had more questions but he became relaxed that he had not broken any taboo.

He was about to ask more when the old man pointed at his lips.

[Talking is harder. Thoughts are filtered and we try to hold back on instinct with weaker people. Also, since you are a beast, your mates should be safe as well. Your voice, however, has no such distinction.] Lind was confused but then he recalled how higher realm cultivators had to withhold information from lower realm ones.

Information that exceeded their realm could cause serious harm or death.

[So, I have been sealed away from them?] The wizened face smiled at him as if he was an especially bright pupil but Lind felt a strong need to hit him.

[Stop influencing him! He cannot defend that much from us!] Lind then understood! Just as he had been warned, his transmissions and voice could affect others! As a fellow Eternal Realm, he was able to mitigate it to a point but the old man played with him!

His emerald eyes flared but violet chains instantly ensnared him and sealed him.

Lind glanced at them and information flowed into his mind. Emerald light flared suddenly from his mane and dismantled the chains into dust!

Shock flared on all 3 faces.

{I will never be chained again!} Lind's dantian erupted into his meridians. He realized something bad could happen and he quickly acted.

The flow of power was channeled and he began to weave. It was the easiest to attempt. Sigils flared to life as traces were attempted. Yet, they were far too delicate for his incomplete grasp of his power.

Still, it siphoned off the wave of power enough to bring it under control.

Once the storm passed, he looked at the younger woman who was now pale and unstable. Out of instinct, his harmonic Qi flowed and covered her.

Her instability was resolved and her power was restored. If his breaking free shocked them before, his healing made the old woman nearly jump at him.

In their current state, they were tiny, but he merely thought of it to become human again.

[HOW DID YOU DO THAT?! BOTH THINGS! HOW?!] Confusion filled him. The former was obvious as even he did not fully grasp what he did, but the latter was totally under his control.

[My harmony allows me to adapt to all energies. I learned long ago how to use it to help others restore themselves from imbalances, especially ones I caused.] It seemed straightforward but even the old man became agitated.

[Boy, only 1 other Eternal Realm cultivator has been able to interfere with their fellows to any effect.] The words made Lind freeze. The Bastard. The Fiend consumed others and his vile Qi could not be easily stopped.

Until he rose up, and other 6 elementals, it had been a war of attrition and tragic sacrifice to keep the lines stable.

Now, he was told he had crossed that same line in another way. An idea came to him. He focused on the 3 and saw they were not as healthy as they had appeared. His Eyes and Touch told him everything and he became entranced.

He assumed a lotus position and sank into the enlightenment.

His power had changed but the basics explained to him gave him clues, yet an old challenge had risen up in him. He had done something out of instinct they treated as a miracle.

Why? It was the same reason as always. They had followed the path that worked, even if flawed, but never saw outside those imperfect limits. The Bastard had proven there were more possibilities, no matter how horrific the process, and Lind had become a counterpoint.

The ideas flowed and his dantian surged in power. He let it flow in his meridians as it began to dance through all he had ever done. He summoned materials that were then extracted to make elixirs from grade 1 to Mystery Grade.

He Forged with more materials from the world around him. He repeated the process and it was like he had always known how to do it.

Weaving was attempted again but thanks to his previous failure, he had far better results compared to the other 2. He was able to actually integrate all the grades into one!

He focused on his Storm Arts and it was like building a house. He had grasped his foundation and now he had to erect the supports. The energy danced but he quickly became exhausted.

His control had improved but his regulation of the flow was still pathetic. In other words, it took 5 to 10 times the energy to perform all he had done. He had a massive reservoir but it could still run out.

As he came out of the enlightenment, his body felt much better. He felt more in control yet when he looked up, the old woman was practically on top of him!

She was holding an artifact with a crystal concave disc pointed at him while her daughter was taking a lot of notes.

The old man was also rapt with focus on him.

"How is this?" His voice cracked like a whip but the air barely vibrated. He could now feel the barrier hiding him away from the others working in his hold.

He also realized he actually felt the connection to the hold! He could perceive it was still changing and growing! At the heart of it were seven massive Eternal Origin Seeds!

He had recreated his dantian?! Was that possible?!

Regardless, they were like furnaces churning out all 18 elements at Eternal grade!

"You should take care. Your emotional state will shatter your fragile control. Mental transmissions are safer but only just." The gravelly voice of the old man snapped him out of his revelations.

He nodded but then felt the clawed hand of the older woman grasp his.

"Marry my daughter!" The world came to a dead halt and even the old man had no snide remark. Lind felt his eye twitch.

[No.]
