Eternal Life: I Can Sell Everything
Chapter 208 - 205: Are Ghosts Human, or Are Ghosts Ghosts?A vast, mighty power surged forth from the void. Song Ciwan focused her mind to comprehend it, only to hear three sounds: CRACK CRACK CRACK.
This wasn’t a real sound, but a conceptual one.
With those three sounds, her Upper Dantian at the Mud Ball Palace, her Middle Dantian at the Danzhong Acupoint, and her Lower Dantian at the Qi Sea Acupoint burst open in the very same instant.
The True Qi, which had been firmly sealed within, was like water bursting from a dam. With a great RUSH, it broke free from its confinement and instantly poured back into Song Ciwan’s limbs and body.
The feedback of over three hundred years of Cultivation didn’t mean Song Ciwan would directly gain over three hundred years’ worth of Cultivation, nor was it like the periods of Cultivation time she had obtained before. This "Cultivation feedback" was something special—
It existed primarily for the specific situation of having one’s Cultivation sealed within a Deceitful Realm. Therefore, the very first thing the Cultivation feedback did was return Song Ciwan’s originally sealed Cultivation to her!
Song Ciwan’s original Cultivation had reached Late-stage Qi Refining. In terms of the sheer volume of her True Qi, her original Cultivation was equivalent to roughly three hundred and twenty years.
Thus, the three hundred and seventy years of Cultivation feedback first shattered her seal, allowing her Power to be completely restored!
But that wasn’t all. After Song Ciwan’s Power was fully restored, another fifty years’ worth of Power surged forth from the void.
This fifty years’ worth of Power didn’t require Song Ciwan to cultivate it; it was a form of pure Vitality that, upon entering her body, naturally and rapidly transformed into her own True Qi.
Song Ciwan immediately began to circulate the Sutra of Sitting and Forgetting, assimilating and controlling this True Qi as quickly as possible.
To be honest, this was rather difficult.
After all, this was very different from "Cultivation time." Usually, when Song Ciwan traded in human desires to acquire Cultivation time, it was a special form of accelerated time within a pocket dimension.
Within the special dimension of the Cultivation time, every bit of Cultivation she gained was something she had earned through her own arduous practice.
If, during those long stretches of Cultivation time—one year, two years, or even more than ten—Song Ciwan had simply spaced out, slept, and wasted her time instead of practicing, her Cultivation wouldn’t have increased.
Therefore, Song Ciwan could always control the Power she gained through "Cultivation time" with ease, never facing the problem of her awareness lagging behind her Cultivation level.
This Cultivation feedback, however, was equivalent to receiving a huge amount of True Qi out of thin air, and such an instantaneous surge required immense control to withstand.
Fifty years of Cultivation was no small matter!
Song Ciwan could feel a dull ache spreading through all her meridians, and she even felt a momentary wave of dizziness.
What she didn’t know was that as she exerted all her control, struggling to absorb this massive influx of True Qi that had come from thin air, Mr. Gao lay in the black coffin with his eyes shut tight, his body trembling slightly.
If Song Ciwan could have seen this, she would have understood immediately—nothing truly comes from thin air.
The massive amount of True Qi she was receiving through "Cultivation feedback" was clearly connected to Mr. Gao!
Even Mr. Gao’s sudden headache and collapse were intimately linked to Song Ciwan’s "Cultivation feedback."
But had Song Ciwan not fallen into the Deceitful Realm, had she not been subjugated by Mr. Gao, her Power would never have been sealed. She then wouldn’t have tried every possible method to provoke his emotions, and in turn, she would not be receiving this "Cultivation feedback."
One could only say that the universe works in mysterious ways, with every action having its own strange repercussion.
Though it takes long to describe, all of this happened in the blink of an eye.
In that instant, as Song Ciwan was absorbing the fifty years of newly acquired Power, Sha Si and Mo Hou’Er raised their hoe and rake, about to bring them crashing down on Mr. Gao.
While controlling the surging True Qi within her and listening to the commotion, Song Ciwan’s thoughts raced: ’Should I save Mr. Gao?’
Analyzed from the perspective of the living versus the Deceitful, there was naturally no reason to save one of them.
If they killed each other, Song Ciwan, as a living person, could just sit back and profit from their conflict. After all, Mr. Gao was supposed to be her enemy!
Previously, constrained by the roles assigned to them in this Deceitful Realm, Song Ciwan and the other students hadn’t dared to harm Mr. Gao themselves. But now, it was his fellow Deceitfuls, Sha Si and Mo Hou’Er, who were attacking him.
This was a godsend. Wasn’t it absolutely perfect?
But from a long-term perspective, things looked different.
After all, a living person’s goal in a Deceitful Realm wasn’t to see how many Deceitfuls died. What Song Ciwan truly needed to do was break the Deceitful Realm and escape this place!
If Mr. Gao died, would she be able to leave?
Not necessarily.
Song Ciwan had a persistent feeling that Mr. Gao was a special, central figure in this Deceitful Realm. The key to breaking it was likely tied to him. He couldn’t be allowed to die so easily!
Besides, Mr. Gao was a Small City Level Deceitful.
Even if he was currently lying unconscious and immobilized in a coffin, could a Small City Level Deceitful really be killed with a hoe and a rake?
Not likely!
...
The thoughts twisted and turned in her mind. Song Ciwan considered many possibilities but made her decision in an instant.
In the eastern coffin room, Sha Si and Mo Hou’Er were still screaming the word "Kill!" They shouted without stopping, as if trying to build up their own courage.
The wind whistled grimly as the hoe and rake fell. Sha Si screamed, "AHHH—"
Before the scream died out, a figure in the darkness closed the distance in an instant.
A hand shot out, first catching the slightly faster hoe. Then, a Giant Power erupted. Sha Si yelled, "Ah! What is this? Let go! Let go of me—"
But that Giant Power was as immense and overwhelming as a landslide—irresistible. The entire hoe, handle and all, was wrenched from his grasp.
The next moment, the long handle of the hoe shot upward, instantly blocking the rake that followed close behind.
Mo Hou’Er had no time to react. He, too, felt a terrifying Giant Power. The landslide-like force surged upward, jarring his hands so violently that his grip went completely slack.
Mo Hou’Er couldn’t help but yell, "Ah!"
The rake flew from his hands, snatched away in an instant.
THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!
Mo Hou’Er staggered back several steps.
Sha Si didn’t retreat, but the recoiling Giant Power knocked him right off his feet, and he landed hard on his backside!
His tailbone fractured from the impact, and blood began to pool beneath him.
Mo Hou’Er shrieked in terror, "A ghost! Run!"
With a scramble of his feet, he turned and fled for the door, shouting and wailing.
Ironically, he himself was the ghost, while Song Ciwan, who had snatched his rake, was the human.
But interestingly, these villagers of the Deceitful Realm clearly didn’t see themselves as anything other than human. Song Ciwan, appearing and disappearing like a phantom and wielding Infinite Power, was instead mistaken for a ghost by the actual ghouls in the dark.
One had to admit, it was a situation both realistic and absurd.
Song Ciwan was using the Divine Communication Technique: Infinite Power. This technique was simple and crude, but its effects were undeniable. Compared to certain flashy, grandiose forms of Magic, this Infinite Power was far more suitable for the present situation.
Song Ciwan could even use it to pass her strength off as natural-born Divine Power.
