Chapter 50: Chapter 50 show something better

In the bootcamp, Yor stood up with a serious expression. "We can’t let Aster hold back in the final too!"

He looked at everyone before continuing.

"All of you have seen it. Everyone from Dungeon City has already completed their Second Class Advancement, while we’ve only completed our first."

"Looks like someone is scared," Adrian teased.

"No, I agree with her," Captain Lyra said.

"Dungeon City has won the National Tournament before. They have the level advantage." She turned toward Aster. "So in the final, attack fast and force them to reveal their trump cards as soon as possible."

Aster simply nodded.

The next day...

The stadium was more crowded than ever as spectators eagerly waited for the championship match.

The President and his daughter also sat in the VIP section, waiting excitedly for the battle to begin.

The announcer’s voice echoed throughout the entire stadium. "Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over! Today is the final team battle of the National College Tournament!"

The audience erupted in excitement. "Without wasting any more time, please welcome both teams into the arena!"

Aurora City and Dungeon City’s teams entered the arena and stood face-to-face.

The audience immediately began discussing the match.

"Who do you think will win?"

"Obviously Dungeon City."

"But Aster defeated every captain during the first day."

"That was an all-out battle. This is a team battle. It’s completely different."

Inside the arena, Ragnar smiled the moment he saw Aster again.

Aster thought, "He isn’t arrogant like the others. He actually seems like someone who makes friends."

Ragnar laughed. "Aster, your palm strike in the last match was incredible. It inspired us, so we made a move of our own."

Aster looked puzzled. "What move?"

"Hehe... you’ll see when the match begins." Ragnar grinned. "I can’t wait to see your reaction... and whether you’ll survive it."

The announcer raised his hand.

"The final team battle... begin!"

The instant the battle started, all four members of Dungeon City raised their hands. They gathered every bit of their mana into a single point.

Four Second Class Advancement awakeners poured their full mana together, creating a gigantic blue sphere nearly three times larger than the arena itself.

The overwhelming mass distorted the surrounding space. Even the barrier protecting the arena began to tremble violently.

The tournament staff immediately panicked. The spectators, however, completely trusted the barrier.

Instead of running away, they cheered loudly.

"Bigger!"

"Make it even bigger!"

Yor, Adrian, and Alas stared at the enormous sphere with genuine fear.

Adrian’s mouth hung open. "There’s no way to dodge that."

"But it’ll hit them too," Alas said.

Yor rolled her eyes. "Dummy. It’s their own attack. It’ll hurt them less than us. Besides, their levels are much higher. They’ll survive in far better condition."

Meanwhile, Aster calmly watched the gigantic sphere. He looked at Ragnar before smiling. Then he turned toward his teammates.

"The three of you, forfeit and head to the resting room."

"What?!" all three shouted.

"Just trust me."

They exchanged glances. No matter how they thought about it, there was no possible way to survive that attack.

Finally, they nodded. The three of them jumped off the arena and hurried toward the resting room.

The audience immediately began talking.

"Look! They’re running!"

"Aurora City is scared!"

"Dungeon City is going to win again!"

Captain Lyra frowned.

"I didn’t expect them to use something like this..."

Suddenly someone shouted,

"Hey! Aster’s still in the arena!"

"What?" Captain Lyra turned in surprise.

Yor, Adrian, and Alas arrived beside her.

"Why didn’t Aster forfeit?" she asked.

Yor replied,

"Aster told us to forfeit. He said he has a plan."

Captain Lyra frowned. "What can he possibly do now?"

The General, the President, the green-haired girl, and the old martial artist all fixed their eyes on Aster.

Standing alone in the arena, Aster smiled at Ragnar. "I’m flattered you were inspired by me."

He summoned his magic staff and slowly raised it toward the sky. "So let me show you something even cooler."

The audience looked at him in confusion.

"What is he doing?"

Aster slowly looked upward.

"Fire Ball."

The next second...

A Level 50 Fire Ball manifested before everyone’s eyes.

The blue mana sphere created by Dungeon City was already three times larger than the arena.

Yet each of Aster’s Fire Balls was twice the size of that massive blue sphere. And there weren’t just one.

There were ten.

Silence fell over the stadium. Ragnar stared blankly at the enormous fireballs. For a moment, he couldn’t say anything.

Then...

"Haha..."

"Heh..."

"Hahahahahahaha!"

He burst into uncontrollable laughter like a madman.

The moment the ten gigantic Fire Balls entered the barrier’s range, the barrier began to crack under the overwhelming pressure.

The audience instantly felt the terrifying heat.

"Ahhh!"

"It’s so hot!"

Immediately, the President and General Cassius leaped from their seats.

Both flew into the sky. The President instantly created an enormous mana barrier to protect the audience.

At the same time, General Cassius unleashed a Palm Strike. A gigantic purple hand materialized in the sky, grabbed all ten Fire Balls in its palm, and crushed them into nothingness.

The audience panicked. General Cassius clicked his tongue in irritation.

"This Aster... He actually did it. Didn’t Captain Lyra tell him to hold back?"

Inside the resting room, Yor, Adrian, Alas...

Even Captain Lyra...

Were completely speechless.

Meanwhile, the old martial artist happily ate popcorn.

"Good! Good! This kid has decent skills. Not as good as mine, of course... but still pretty good."

The announcer quickly spoke through the speakers. "Everyone, please remain calm! The situation is completely under control! Two of the Five Pillars of the country are here. There is absolutely nothing to worry about!"

The audience gradually calmed down. The announcer wiped the sweat from his forehead before looking back toward the arena.

"So... about the match..."

Ragnar watched everything before looking at Aster with sparkling eyes.

"Haha! You’re even more amazing than we thought. There was absolutely no way we could have survived that attack."

He slowly raised his hand.

"We forfeit."

The entire stadium fell silent. The announcer took a deep breath before shouting,

"Dungeon City’s team has forfeited! The winner of the National Tournament Team Battle..."

"Aurora City!"

For a brief second...

The audience remained completely silent. Then the entire stadium exploded with deafening cheers. Ragnar walked over to Aster and extended his hand.

"Come visit Dungeon City someday. We’ll clear dungeons together."

Aster smiled as he shook Ragnar’s hand.

"Sure."
