Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress
Chapter 671: Dragon World & FusionFrom this point onward, what a practitioner of the Divine Path power system needed to do was simple.
Develop the Kingdom of God.
Accumulate faith, either by spreading one’s name in the real world or by giving birth to creatures inside the Kingdom of God and making them their believers.
Most people, including the Divine Emperor, mostly focused on the second path.
Although slower, it was also far safer.
Similarly, it was also the more sustainable.
Even if the practitioner perished and all their believers in the outside world died as well, they would still be able to recover without suffering much harm.
Moreover, the creatures in the real world were ultimately finite.
In the Kingdom of God, however, there were theoretically no limits to their numbers at all.
In simple terms, converting "real" people into one’s believers was initially faster.
But in the long run, developing the Kingdom of God and creating creatures inside of it would prove far more beneficial.
Short-term benefits. Future potential.
Most practitioners of the Divine Path had to choose one of the two initially.
But Liora didn’t have to make a choice.
Or rather, she had already made a different choice.
She would follow another method.
Not only because of their respective disadvantages, but also because she was unwilling to sacrifice her current strengths.
No matter which one of the paths she chose to follow, she would have to merge herself with the Kingdom of God and thus give up her physical body.
For ordinary people, this could prove an advantage, as they would be able to be reborn infinitely provided they had enough faith.
But for Liora, this was impossible to accept.
Both literally and figuratively.
"Even if I was willing to give up my physical body, I doubt the Kingdom of God could sustain my existence."
"I’m no longer an ordinary Devil, after all.", she muttered under her breath, glancing at her true "physical body" surrounding her.
The Cosmic Sea!
This was her true body! Something far stronger and grander than the Kingdom of Gods could ever be!
How could Liora possibly willingly give up on it?
Since she couldn’t, she had to try and create her own path forward.
And this was where she believed that her opportunity for advancement lay.
Liora took one more, deeper look at the Kingdom of God.
Then, she shifted her attention to the Cosmic Sea.
She looked at the cosmic dust, the Law Stars, and more importantly, the worlds within it.
From the very beginning, the world that had the most rapid development was the one that had been born from the corpse of the Divine Dragon.
There, the dragon race had been divided into two sides under her own interference, one side being lawful and "kind" and the other unlawful and "evil".
One yearned for creation. The other for destruction.
The two were naturally opposed to each other.
It had been some time since Liora had last taken a look at them. Yet few things had changed since then.
The war was still ongoing. At most, the creatures participating in it had become more powerful.
The leaders of the two factions had reached Rank 10, while the weakest members stood at Rank 4.
Considering their vast number, this was a considerable force even in the Human Federation.
However, it was hardly a reason for Liora to pay attention to them at this critical moment.
She had another goal in doing so.
A thoughtful look appeared in her mind, and she seemed to be imagining several future timelines.
In the end, the hesitation in her eyes vanished, overwritten by decisiveness.
Liora hesitated no longer.
With a thought, the Kingdom of God shot out, landing on the world occupied by the dragons.
Although it was only one of the countless worlds within the Cosmic Sea, its size was vast.
Even though the Kingdom of God spanned hundreds of miles, it was like a single droplet of water inside an endless ocean.
No one sensed its arrival at first.
However, that was bound to change.
The moment the Kingdom of God landed, Liora took action once more.
Her body in the real world broke down into a revolving black hole made out of cosmic dust, sucking every trace of faith surrounding her.
It continuously poured it into the Kingdom of God, helping it expand at an astonishing rate.
At first, it was only a tiny dot among the vast world of dragons.
But in the blink of an eye, it had covered a considerable part of the world.
One percent. Five percent. Ten percent.
By this point, the dragons residing in it had finally sensed that something was wrong.
They stared at the golden walls slowly expanding and enveloping their world and wished to struggle.
Unfortunately, their efforts proved meaningless.
No one could resist the golden wall’s advance.
Even the Rank 10 leaders faced the same fate.
They could only watch helplessly as the Kingdom of God swallowed their world, and they were powerless to do anything.
The two worlds soon overlapped.
Their connection was seamless.
Under the stunned eyes of the two armies of dragons, the two distinct planes fused, becoming one with the Kingdom of God as their foundation.
The impact of this was immediate.
The dragons felt both the world and their own selves change.
But they had no time to examine their states.
The moment the two planes merged...
"Roar!"
A powerful cry echoed throughout the world.
All the dragons felt their bloodlines tremble.
They instinctively raised their head toward the sky and stared toward the source of the disturbance.
The sight they saw left them stunned.
The cry had come out of a creature that they could all recognize.
A dragon!
Yet unlike them, who were single-colored and with each controlling a different power, this dragon was unique.
All the colors in the world were embodied on its scales.
Its pupils shone like two rainbows, each occupying a huge portion of the blue sky.
Given the dragon’s enormous size, its eyes looked like two celestial bodies.
One was the sun. The other was the moon.
For a moment, everyone had the illusion that the dragon and the world were one and the same.

Author’s Note: I believe that some readers may have noticed that the update schedule has been more hectic lately, mostly due to my own bad schedule.
I was on vacation for a few days and then experienced some health issues that prevented me from fully focusing on writing. I had to stay up till 6 AM several times to write some of the recent Chapters.
I normally refrain from discussing personal matters, but I just wanted to say this to clear up any misunderstandings.
The messed-up upload schedule happened to coincide with the release of my second book and some readers may think that I’m giving up on this one.
For what it’s worth, I always prioritize this book when writing. I’ve been uploading at least 2 Chapters a day for the past 308 days and I’m planning to continue doing so until Devil Empress is completed.
