"Ugh." Victor opened his eyes with a groan as he muttered, "What happened?"

He was clutching his head as a severe headache was making him disoriented. After a few minutes had passed and the headache subsided, he could see normally without the urge to throw up and started to look at his surroundings.

The moment he took in his surroundings, his pupils shrank, and his jaw dropped to the ground in disbelief.

"Where the hell am I... and why the hell am I in handcuffs?" Victor exclaimed as he looked at his hands, which were handcuffed and tied to large, thick iron chains with glowing runes on them, and looked to his side and breathed a sigh of relief.

"At least we did not get separated..." Victor mumbled as he saw Amber, Rina, and Valerie lying unconscious beside him, and they were also in handcuffs.

He frowned and looked at the damp, dirty walls and the bars in front of him, which looked like a prison cell.

"Ugh, my head." Victor’s head snapped towards the girls, and he saw Amber waking up with a groan, followed by Rina and Valerie.

The girls immediately noticed their current predicament, and Rina looked at Victor with a nervous expression and asked in a confused tone, "Victor, what in the heavens is going on? Why are we in chains?"

"As you can see, I am as confused as you are," Victor said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Is it the knight? Did it capture us?" Valerie asked, looking at Victor. Just thinking about it made her face turn pale.

"No, it’s not the knight. I found a weakness, and Lilith managed to kill it," Victor lied, but Amber and Rina could guess the truth and did not refute his words.

’Is this the Planet of Devils and Demons, and what the hell was that giant arm?’ Victor thought with a frown and felt a shiver run down his spine when he recalled the image of the giant arm made of darkness.

"I see," Valerie muttered.

"Let’s first break out of the shackles," Amber said as she tried to freeze the shackles, but as soon as frost started to appear, it receded the next instant, which caused her to frown. "Huh?"

Amber tried again, but to no avail. Rina, beside Amber, asked, "What happened?"

"For some reason, I can’t use my skills... These might be mana-restraining chains," Amber said, her calm expression cracking and being replaced by panic and unease.

Victor also tried to channel his mana by attempting to summon blue flames, but he felt the mana he generated getting absorbed by the cuffs and clicked his tongue. "Mana-restraining chains... I never imagined I would see this again in my new life."

He had gotten arrested a few times in his past life, and he was very familiar with these handcuffs, as they were used to capture him when he got caught while stealing at the beginning of his career as a thief. Just as he was thinking...

Wee Wooo

Suddenly, an alarm blared from his cell, and his expression turned grave when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. "Looks like whoever captured us is coming here."

Step Step

The footsteps became louder and louder, and after some time, three figures appeared in front of them. The three of them had horns on their foreheads, and the most prominent feature was their red skin, and they had forked tails behind them while carrying spears in their hands.

"W-What are these creatures?" Valerie said, barely above a whisper, as her entire body trembled in fear from the look the devils were giving them, sending a chill down her spine. It was as if they were looking at some kind of delicacy by the way they were licking their lips and almost drooling.

"Devils," Amber said with a tone full of disgust, as she had seen atrocities committed by them, and her bloodline naturally felt great repulsion towards them.

Victor, Rina, and Amber instantly recognized them, as they were very familiar with them after having killed them a few days ago.

"Oh, you livestock know about our race?" One of the devils, who seemed like a prison guard, looked at Amber with interest and muttered, "Did you meet our kin outside this planet?"

"Outside this planet... what do you mean by that?" The unease Valerie felt when she heard the word "livestock" from the devil’s mouth heightened even further.

"It’s just as you think, livestock... You are the first human presence in centuries." The devil grinned maliciously and said, "Welcome to Planet Sinthra."

As soon as his words fell, everyone, including Victor, had their eyes widened. Even though he knew this was a different planet, he was still shocked.

"No way." The color drained from Valerie’s face as she cursed, ’This was just a simple Academy field trip... how on heavens did we end up on a different planet? I hope this is just a bad dream.’

"You said we are the first humans in centuries?" Rina asked suddenly.

"Indeed. Even we were surprised when we found a couple of humans dropping from the sky near the tribe prison. At first, we thought you were demons, but when we examined you... we discovered you are humans," the devil said with a shrug.

"No, wait. If you haven’t seen humans for a century, how did you recognize us?" Amber asked.

"We know the smell of humans," the devil said nonchalantly.

"Enough. The leader asked you to bring us to him after you all wake up. The feast is ready, and you are the main stars," the devil said with excitement.

"Huh? If you are going to throw us a feast, why did you arrest us?" Valerie asked, confused.

"Heh, you are the stars we are going to cook and eat along with the demons you caught," the devil said maliciously, while Valerie had a look of horror on her face and felt her stomach drop to the bottom.

"Especially human females. The more beautiful they are, the tastier I heard they are... I heard after the leader and elder have their fill, they will let us eat the scraps of you," the devil said, and everyone’s faces turned grim.

"Anyways, get up," the devil said, and they got up obediently.

---

Victor, Amber, Valerie, and Rina walked for a few minutes before they stopped in front of a large field.

"Go and join them." The guards shoved them forward as they pointed towards a group at the front.

"Those are demons." Amber’s eyes widened, as this was the first time she was seeing real demons. She could not be considered one, as she only had the bloodline.

The four of them walked towards the group and silently blended in with them.

"What’s that cauldron for?" Valerie said with a tremor as she pointed at a huge black cauldron which could fit more than one human adult in it.

"Maybe they want to boil us," Rina said nonchalantly, and Valerie stared at her in horror as she swallowed hard.

"The feast will begin now. Bring the prisoners," said the announcer, and the group was forcibly dragged near the pot. Many tried to resist, but they were beaten down by the guards.

The guards grabbed a demon, and he immediately shouted as he was dragged towards the cauldron.

"N-No, wait, don’t..." The demon tried to resist but was dragged above the pot and...

Splash

"AHHHHH!" A scream of intense agony echoed throughout the place, and the prisoners seeing this shuddered, with some even pissing themselves in fear.

The screams rang out for a couple of minutes until the demon was dead.

"Tch, enough with the demons. I heard you caught some humans... Bring them here. I can’t wait to eat their tender flesh," the leader of the tribe said in an impatient tone.

"Of course," the captain said as he walked to Victor’s group and then scanned the four of them. "Women are the best. I will leave the best for last."

The leader said as he grabbed Victor’s arm and dragged him to the front.

As soon as Victor appeared, every eye moved towards him, and everyone broke into a commotion.

"It really is a human. The smell, I can recognize it."

"I heard human flesh is a hundred times tastier than demons. I can’t wait to take a bite."

"Oi, be careful. And why are you in such a hurry? Don’t you want to know where I came from?" Victor said, looking at the leader who was looking at him with a hungry smile.

The leader’s eyes gleamed, and he burst into laughter. "Haha, I don’t care where he comes from. I will keep one of you alive and ask them, and later invade your world. Then I will have an endless supply of delicious meat."

’Should I break free from the restraints?’ Victor thought as he was dragged towards the cauldron filled with boiling oil. Even though he had no mana and could not use any skills, his physical strength was still here, and he could easily break the shackles.

Just as he was thinking, his instincts flared, and the next moment—
