"Huh?" Guild Leader Babrus was visibly taken aback by that question, and slowly looked down at his feet to see his boots were actually worn the wrong way around.

Then he frowned and glared daggers at Black Rose. "How does how my boots are worn have to do with anything? Or are you trying to buy time for that damn Slime?!" he sneered with bloodshot eyes.

The other guild leaders, who initially thought it was strange, immediately faced Black Rose with their weapons upon hearing Babrus’s words.

She didn’t panic, nor did she react to this.

"You chased after the slime with your sword tsunami, but strangely deactivated it as soon as you were out of sight." Black Rose said calmly as she pointed out the flaw in the guild leader’s actions.

Guild Leader Babrus had an ugly expression on his face. "What are you trying to insinuate, Guild Leader Black Rose?" he hissed in seething rage.

"The fact that everyone has their weapons out now, except you, who went after the slime first... proves that you’re the imposter."

As soon as the words left her lips, the other guild leaders’ eyes widened in surprise, and they immediately turned their swords toward Babrus.

"Damn you, Babrus! How dare you try to trick us with your stupid games?!"

"I swear, if you don’t surrender right now, even your corpse won’t be leaving this tower in one piece!"

The outraged guild leaders roared at Guild Leader Babrus, who was visibly stunned at how quickly Black Rose had flipped the script on him.

He gritted his teeth. "That’s not enough to make me the imposter, whilst every damn piece of evidence points towards you, you scheming bitch. Can’t y’all see she’s trying to trick us all into turning against ourselves?!" Babrus screamed.

His logic made the other guild leaders hesitant about which side to take, and they began switching their weapons between the two suspicious guild leaders.

"I need you to do one thing for me, Guild Leader Babrus." Black Rose said calmly. "If you can do this, then you pass the test and will be free from the allegations. And I’ll gladly take the blame for being the imposter."

Her words and calm demeanor put Babrus in a tight spot, and he had no other choice but to consent, as refusing even this when Black Rose was putting her own neck on the line would simply prove him guilty.

"What do you want me to do?" he said through gritted teeth.

"It’s simple... activate that same skill you used to create the sword tsunami."

"Wait... What?" Everyone had the same reaction to the strange request. But Black Rose wasn’t done speaking.

"If you can do that successfully," she said, stabbing her sword into the ground, "then everyone here can feel free to persecute me as the imposter."

Everyone was confused. Her request made no sense at all, asking the guild leader to use his signature skill to prove he was innocent. But if she was willing to put her neck on the line...

Everyone’s gaze fell on Guild Leader Babrus.

"How’s that even a challenge?!" Babrus roared. But the silence from the other guild leaders, as they tightened their grip on their weapons, gave him no choice.

He stood unmoving for a moment that felt like an eternity as he swept his gaze around the guild leaders, his expression unreadable. And without warning, the box on his back flung open, and a storm of swords flew out in a powerful tsunami, swirling around him before they were suspended in the air, all facing Black Rose now.

"So who’s the imposter now?" he sneered.

With that, everyone’s weapons immediately faced Black Rose, but before anyone could react, she had picked up her sword and executed several clean strikes that tore through the body of Guild Leader Babrus.

The other guild leaders were immediately alerted and moved in to attack Black Rose.

"Wait!" she suddenly commanded as she pointed at Babrus. "Is that the slime you’re looking for?"

Everyone’s gaze immediately snapped to Babrus, only to see he wasn’t dead after the precise strikes from Black Rose, but was standing with various parts of his body exposed where he had been cut.

To their greatest surprise, what was there wasn’t blood, but a gelatinous form that quickly began reconnecting and repairing itself, as a slime could only be killed when its core was destroyed.

Guild Leader Babrus suddenly smiled in amusement as he looked at Black Rose with interest.

"Impressive. How did you figure that out?" Kaelen asked with a mischievous smile, still in the form of the former guild leader, thanks to the latest evolution attribute he had purchased earlier.

Black Rose revealed as a sharp glint flashed across her eyes.

Kaelen stared at her for several silent seconds. Then he laughed.

Of course, he was lucky enough to copy the guild leader’s Talent thanks to the [Genetic Extraction] evolution attribute, but the 10,000× Reward Multiplier had perfected and improved it into an advanced version of itself that Kaelen had barely realized he was overdoing, for the discerning eyes of someone like Black Rose.

"Ah... I’ll take that as a compliment," he said with a grin.

"Are you trying to say he killed Babrus in the split second he was out of our sight?" one of the guild leaders whispered as his pupils shrank in terror.

"That’s right, Guild Leader Fangs. There is no imposter amongst us. And as much as I hate to admit this..." Black Rose trailed off.

"I didn’t kill the Mythic Dragon."

"...This bastard did."
