The private jet didn’t take long to take off, and soon the wasteland came into view, with the ruins of the old world consumed by nature.

At that altitude, it was hard to make out any beast below, and for the first half of it, the flight seemed to be going smoothly with no winged beasts in range of Kaelen’s [Sharp Senses], but the tension was heavy inside the plane, so much so that even President Hunter didn’t relax for a second.

Kaelen understood their fear perfectly well. Not only had the second wave been officially confirmed, but he’d learned from President Hunter that Stronghold 5 wasn’t the only stronghold to be attacked.

The nine great Strongholds had been attacked at intervals, and though the majority of the strongholds had forces strong enough to keep the situation under control, the same couldn’t be said for Stronghold 9.

Their gates had been breached, and the stronghold was invaded by the beast horde. Their government had panicked and fled the stronghold in their private jets, abandoning their citizens, who either fell in battle or fled into the wasteland.

But even after knowing all this, President Hunter had still chosen to come with him.

Kaelen didn’t understand why, but for himself, it was simply for the unimaginable strength and evolution points he’d be getting from the expedition. And the chance of getting another primordial-tier item in the loot bundle.

Not to mention he’d also get to meet the people behind his father’s death and the Stronghold 2 massacre.

With two strongholds wiped out within a decade after the first wave, Kaelen was obsessed with getting stronger over anything.

He wasn’t doing it for the money any longer, and was on a rampage to become the strongest man humanity had ever witnessed. He was willing to do anything and sacrifice anyone who stood in his way to absolute strength.

With a little over 60 million evolution points, Kaelen planned on devouring half of his useless loot for more evolution points and abilities for the expedition.

Kaelen would beat the entire world to the boss room, and when the emperor arrived with his army, he’d be met by a Slime.

The world didn’t know it yet, but the final boss the world’s strongest players would be fighting at the end of the greatest expedition ruins... would be him.

Skreechh—!

At that moment, the loud screech of a large bird broke the tranquility in the jet, and Kaelen immediately detected several flying beasts entering his range of perception.

The jet’s hostesses were visibly shaken, and even President Hunter tensed up. Though Kaelen remained extremely calm, as he couldn’t tell their evolution realm based on the game world, he could easily tell their strength was far beneath him.

More loud screeches began coming from all directions, as Kaelen detected multiple of these beasts surrounding the private jet and flying in circles around it.

The speaker in the jet suddenly turned static as the distressed voice of the pilot came through.

"I can barely see anything, and we’re losing signal. I think the flying beasts are taunting us and preparing for attack. We need to do something quickly."

Though the private jet was military-grade with a reinforced shell and glass, they couldn’t risk getting hit, but they were a step too late, as a loud bang echoed from outside the jet.

Bang!

A flying beast had crashed into the side of the jet.

Then came several more. Each hit became more aggressive than the last, and dents were starting to form around the plane. Kaelen’s window had a slight crack after one ran into it headfirst.

President Hunter jumped from his seat.

"My Talent is SSS-rank Gravity Manipulation," he said with a cold tone. "I can try to destroy the beasts, but they’re dangerously close to the jet, and I’m afraid my ability shows no mercy."

"That’s too dangerous, President Hunter," Kaelen said as he stood, patting the man on his shoulder. "I’ll take care of this one."

"And how do you plan on doing that?" President Hunter asked curiously.

Kaelen didn’t reply, as he positioned himself in the middle of the jet amidst the barrage of attacks, slowly spreading his arms out towards the side of the plane.

At that moment, both the air hostesses and President Hunter’s eyes were on him, wondering what move he was about to pull that wouldn’t affect the jet itself. But the next words that came out of his lips sent chills running down their spines.

"Infinite Mana."

Boom—

A powerful surge of mana exploded from his chest, sending ripples of shockwaves across the plane and beyond that, covering a wide range across the sky.

Even the beasts momentarily paused their attacks, feeling the powerful surge of energy.

What Kaelen had used at the aptitude test was only a fraction of his ability, and unlike what he told Black Rose and Cindra, Infinite Mana was actually an SSS-rank Talent copied and upgraded from one of the guild leaders at the dungeon tower expedition.

But the Talent in itself wasn’t enough to eradicate the immediate danger and was only an infinite fuel for Kaelen’s next move.

Due to the powerful surge of mana in the sky, the sky immediately changed to a dark crimson, as a storm began surging around them.

Everyone panicked immediately, as their aim was to take care of the beasts without affecting the jet. But Kaelen remained extremely calm as it began pouring heavily around them. That was when Kaelen pulled out the second trick up his sleeve, which was another upgraded SSS-rank Talent. The same one he used at the dungeon tower.

"Formless Dragon Sword Art."

Even though there were no swords in sight, and Kaelen didn’t plan to use any, in the absence of real swords and with an infinite supply of mana, the Talent created them from scratch.

The pouring rain surrounding the jet suddenly stopped midair, as it slowly began coalescing and morphing into long swords made entirely out of water, powered by the lightning element that crackled around them.

The SSS-rank Formless Dragon Sword Art didn’t make one, or ten, or a hundred, or even a thousand. It made millions of identical lightning swords spread across the entire sky, and could be seen from even a thousand miles away, looking like the coming of the ancient gods.

The next words that escaped Kaelen’s lips came as a whisper, but were louder than the raging storm.

"Destroy them all."

***

Over a thousand miles away, the raging storm had caught the attention of a certain White-Haired woman who watched through her sniper’s scope as the entire battle unfolded.

Her brows furrowed softly.

She tilted her head just enough to look at her partner standing in the shadow.

"Get me closer to that flying object."
