Evolution Online: My 10,000× Reward System Multiplies Everything

Chapter 67: Two Hundred Billion Evolution Points away from Eleven Trillion!

Kaelen didn’t want to dwell on what President Hunter told him about his parents’ death and how the entire Stronghold turned a blind eye to the Stronghold 2 massacre, but something had changed within him.

As the game began to feel real with every passing day, he was starting to feel conflicted about hunting players over and over again for his own personal evolution, while subjecting them to a gruesome grind after losing one or more expensive Tiers.

But all that changed after President Hunter’s revelation. Kaelen didn’t care whether the game was real or not. He didn’t care if his actions affected the overall strength of humanity.

As long as it benefited him, Kaelen was going to go to any extent to get stronger, even if it meant leaving humanity behind in the dust. Even if it was the last thing he did.

He tilted his head to look at the last pile of loots in his treasury. One with a rainbow halo with floating golden runes. The other with a black-hole distortion and wisps of purple void.

Kaelen had made up his mind.

Everything he didn’t have a use for was going. They’d all be converted to his strength, and moving forward, he was going to only keep his valuable items in the treasury. While the rest of his loots would be devoured.

He moved to the small pile of his Divine Tier loots, his valuable items such as the World Authority Fragments and a few other items he found useful already kept aside.

"Let’s see how much this one is worth..."

"Devour!"

[You have devoured (400) Divine Tier loots]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[You have received 4,000,000,000,000 Evolution Points]

Kaelen was yet again surprised. He thought he couldn’t get any more surprised by the numbers, especially after seeing he had 400 Divine Tier items.

"Four... trillion?!"

He had made four trillion Evolution Points in a single trade. Exactly the number of his accumulated balance from both the nightmare shadow and the previous loot trades.

With just 400 items?

Kaelen did the mental calculation once more and was surprised to learn that the system had valued a single Divine Tier item at ten billion Evolution Points.

Now Kaelen had eight trillion worth of Evolution Points, enough to surpass the Emperor by a far margin in one sitting. And twelve trillion dollars, enough to build his own Stronghold—which he could already do with one World Authority Fragment—and create his own timeline and universe with 10,000 of them in his possession.

But Kaelen wasn’t done just yet. There was still the last, but the least, pile of items in the treasury, holding only two items after Kaelen had put the Primordial staff aside.

Not only was it a powerful item he could make use of with the Infinite Mana Talent, but it was also a prized possession of his family he didn’t want to part with like that.

Kaelen grabbed the Shadow Scythe and Devourer Skill Book, staring at them for a moment before making up his mind to toss them into his mouth.

"This better be worth it."

"Devour..."

[You have devoured (2) Primordial Tier loots]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[You have received 2,500,000,000,000 Evolution Points]

His brows shot up in surprise.

"Two items... Two and a half trillion?"

A single Primordial Tier weapon was valued at a little over one trillion Evolution Points per item?!

Kaelen immediately pulled out his phone to check his Evolution Points balance now.

Though he already had a rough idea about how much he had in total, he just needed to see it there with his own eyes.

[Evolution Points Balance]:

10,800,000,000,000

Kaelen stared at the balance for a long while, his mind blank.

Just a few days ago, he was in desperate need of Evolution Points and had even dumped his entire reserve to evolve to Tier 11. And now...

He was two hundred billion Evolution Points away from eleven trillion!?

An amount he never imagined making, even after the ruins of Antarctica.

But this changes everything.

He looked around his treasury once more, ensuring he had cleared it out, before he exited the World Authority Fragment and quickly grabbed the red envelope from his desk, tearing the seal open and taking out the invitation letter.

He took a seat on the edge of his bed before unfolding the paper.

For the next few minutes, Kaelen read silently, his expression changing every now and then, before he finally let the paper leave his hand and drop to the floor.

Suddenly, Kaelen chuckled softly before he began laughing out loud in amusement and disbelief.

The Emperor hadn’t invited him to join the expedition team.

No. To be more accurate, the Emperor hadn’t invited the Nine Great Guilds to the expedition team. The majority of players invited, who still played in Evolution Online’s base world, weren’t invited to fight.

They only had one job and were divided into different categories.

Those who walked behind the main team and dissected the slain beasts for their valuable parts.

Those whose only job was to mine the special crystals growing inside the ruins.

Those who were to carry the luggage of the main team.

These were the roles assigned to the top players of Evolution Online, including Kaelen. It sounded like a joke, but made him understand one thing.

This was an expedition on another level, where the only help these Tier 7s and Tier 8s guild leaders could offer was cleaning up after the main team.

This made Kaelen wonder just who the main team were and made him realize just how many people had transcended mortality and were on par with the Emperor.

These players who had never been heard of or seen before.

To Kaelen, this expedition meant stronger beasts that could generate a good number of Evolution Points for him and, most importantly, powerful items.

If a random beast in the wasteland could give Kaelen two Primordial Tier items, then how many would all the beasts in the ruins of Antarctica give him?

Ten Primordial Tier items?

One hundred?!

Or...

Was Kaelen going to come across something even more powerful?

An item that made the Emperor wait ten years to get his hands on.

Something... that could’ve led to his father’s death.
