Meanwhile, Back Inside the Labyrinth.

Crunch!

Crunch!

Boom!

"Fuck!"

Two young men sprinted through a dense underground forest as fast as their legs could carry them.

Branches whipped against their clothes while bushes and roots blurred past beneath their feet.

Behind them echoed the furious growls of monsters.

More than ten massive wolves relentlessly pursued them.

They were Direwolves—D-Rank monsters with jet-black fur, crimson eyes, and bodies nearly twice the size of ordinary wolves. Their sharp fangs protruded from their mouths as saliva dripped onto the ground while they ran.

Leading the pack was an even more terrifying beast.

A C-Rank Direwolf Alpha.

Its body was as large as a rhinoceros, covered in thick black fur with dark crimson patterns running across its limbs. Every step it took shook the ground beneath it.

Currently...

Noah and Damien had already descended to another floor of the labyrinth.

Unlike the previous floors filled with stone corridors and ancient ruins...

This floor resembled an entirely different world.

An enormous underground forest stretched endlessly beneath a cavern ceiling so high that neither of them could see it. Strange glowing vines and giant crystals embedded throughout the cavern walls served as the only source of light.

At first everything had gone surprisingly well.

They had encountered only a few weak monsters, collected several monster cores, and even managed to spend a peaceful night resting beneath a rocky cliff.

Unfortunately...

That peaceful morning hadn’t lasted long.

The scent of humans had attracted an entire Direwolf pack.

Now the starving monsters pursued them with frightening determination.

They clearly had no intention of letting their prey escape.

ROOOAAARRR!!

AWWOOOOOO!!

The Alpha let out a thunderous roar while the rest of the pack answered with deafening howls.

The forest echoed with their cries.

"They’re still coming!" Noah shouted while continuing to run.

"They’re way too persistent!" Damien replied.

The distance between them and the monsters continued shrinking.

Damien suddenly dug his foot into the ground.

"I’ll slow them down!"

He spun around in one smooth motion. Golden mana erupted around his sword.

The blade blazed brilliantly. With a powerful horizontal swing.

Slash!

A crescent-shaped arc of radiant light shot through the forest.

The golden slash crossed dozens of meters in an instant.

BOOM!!

It struck one of the Direwolves head-on.

The monster was thrown backward as a massive diagonal wound split open across its body.

Blood sprayed through the air before the wolf crashed violently into several trees.

Meanwhile Noah thrust both hands forward. Mana surged from his core. The earth before the charging wolves trembled.

Crack!

Crack!

A gigantic wall of crystal-blue ice erupted from the ground. Nearly five meters tall and several meters thick, it completely blocked the wolves’ path.

The monsters barely had time to react.

Boom!

Boom!

Several Direwolves slammed directly into the frozen barrier.

Bones cracked.

Some were thrown backward while others collapsed onto the ground with painful whines.

However...

Not every wolf was stopped.

The more agile Direwolves immediately leaped high into the air.

The enormous Alpha also launched itself over the wall with astonishing power.

Its massive body flew through the sky like a black meteor.

"Tch!"

"They’re coming from above!"

Damien immediately formed another magic circle.

A brilliant golden formation appeared before him.

More than five radiant spears condensed within seconds.

Light Lance!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

The blazing lances shot upward toward the airborne monsters.

Several wolves were pierced through their bodies before crashing lifelessly onto the forest floor.

Yet the Alpha twisted midair and narrowly avoided every attack before landing heavily several meters ahead.

BOOM!

The ground cracked beneath its weight.

Noah narrowed his eyes.

"My turn." he said and decided to try new spell he learned while he was at home.

A deep-blue magic circle rapidly formed before him. At the same time. An identical magic circle appeared beneath one of the charging Direwolves.

"This is... The first time I’ve used it in actual combat."

It was a spell he had learned only recently during his training with his mother.

A Three-Star Ice Spell.

Normally an Awakened High Core mage shouldn’t have been capable of mastering such advanced magic.

Its mana consumption was great.

However thanks to his extraordinary affinity with ice, his Adaptive Learning passive ability, and the countless hours of guidance from his mother. And lastly he possessed bloodline, Monarch of the Frost .

Noah had barely managed to learn it. Although casting it still consumed a considerable amount of mana.

His calm voice echoed through the forest.

[Crystal Bloom]

The magic circle beneath the Direwolf suddenly shone brilliantly.

Crack

A beautiful crystal flower slowly blossomed from beneath the monster’s feet. Its translucent petals shimmered with an enchanting blue glow. For a brief moment. The wolf hesitated.

Then the flower exploded.

BOOM!!

Hundreds of razor-sharp ice petals burst outward in every direction like a deadly storm.

The Direwolf didn’t even have time to scream.

Its body was shredded by countless icy blades. Blood sprayed across the surrounding trees as the monster collapsed lifelessly onto the ground.

Noah exhaled slowly.

"So...That Crystal Bloom is pretty useful."

Despite the heavy mana consumption. A satisfied smile appeared on his face. Its destructive power had exceeded even his expectations.

ROOOAAARRR!!

The Direwolf Alpha let out a furious roar that shook the surrounding forest.

Despite their relentless attacks... The battle was far from over.

The Alpha was still alive.

Along with it, nearly eight D-Rank Direwolves continued charging through the forest with murderous intent.

"They’re not giving up!"

Damien shouted.

"No. They’re hunting us."

Noah replied calmly as both of them continued sprinting between the towering trees.

There was no point in fighting the entire pack head-on. Their best option was obvious.

Kill the weaker wolves first. Then deal with the Alpha together.

Noah raised his left hand. With a single thought. More than thirty ice weapons materialized high above the battlefield.

Swords.

Spears.

Daggers.

Lances.

Each weapon floated silently before turning its razor-sharp tips toward the charging monsters below.

The wolves looked up.

But it was too late.

"...Go."

The instant Noah gave the command. Every weapon descended simultaneously.
