Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 113: Angel Makes A Visit To Madam

Third person

Angel walked into Madam’s office without taking a single second to knock, even though Madam’s workers said nothing about it. They were already completely used to Angel barging in whenever she saw fit.

It was just a normal day for them.

"I thought you weren’t going to come," Madam said smoothly. She was busy filing some official documents on her desk, not even lifting her head as the door clicked shut.

Angel stepped up to the massive desk and held out her phone, showing the notification bar directly to the older woman.

Madam wasn’t looking at her or even at the screen of the phone she was holding.

"I did not get my payment today," Angel complained, her tone sharp and demanding.

"You are 25 years old and still receiving a daily allowance," Madam said, her pen sliding across a paper. "Did you not learn anything at all from your stepsister? She earns her own money by working every day, and you... you just get paid for lazing around."

Angel slammed both of her hands down flat on the desk, the loud crack echoing off the office walls.

She wasn’t looking entirely angry, but happened to be eerily calm instead.

"You all need to stop calling her my sister," Angel said, leaning forward slightly. "April and I are not related, not by blood, not by anything. Wire my money so I can get out of here."

Madam finally dropped her pen against the desk. She looked up at the Alpha, then slowly relaxed back into the soft leather of her high-backed seat.

Angel absolutely hated how comfortable she looked sitting in that chair, and Madam knew it.

Madam knew Angel wasn’t going to show up at the office until she did something that directly affected Angel’s daily lifestyle. Having complete control over access to Angel’s finances was one of the main tools she used to force her appearance.

"When are you ever going to grow up, Angel?" Madam asked, her voice calm and critical. "Your current lifestyle is one of the main reasons why your mother doesn’t even look at you anymore. Looking at you just makes her regret her past decisions. All you have ever been to anyone is nothing but absolute trouble."

"Woman, if you don’t send my money right now, I don’t mind going straight to jail for putting a bullet in your fucking skull," Angel’s voice dropped an octave, becoming significantly darker.

"And there you go, making empty threats as usual," Madam replied, completely unbothered by the warning. "Look, if you want your allowance to continue to be paid to you every single day, find a real job here in the district and actually do it. If you do that, I will double your allowance."

"I don’t want your double allowance, just give me my usual daily number."

"It’s your mother’s direct order," Madam said, crossing her hands over her lap.

"It’s a complete lie," Angel barked, her eyes narrowing. "You always do this exact same thing whenever she is coming around, trying to make me look like a decent person in front of her."

"So she can look at you and actually be proud of you for once," Madam said, looking directly into the Alpha’s crimson eyes. "Don’t you want that?"

"I am not proud of her," Angel spat back.... "What I actually wanted was for her to come home every single night to my mom, but she never did that even once. So fucking shut your mouth. Stop trying to act like the good guy here. You are not."

"Angel, you need to stop living entirely in the past and start thinking about the future," Madam said, shifting her stance in the chair. "You can join Anthony and his security squad. I will be personally monitoring your performance."

"I’m not joining the security team again this year," Angel protested, taking her hands off the desk.

"The beach is currently in need of a lifeguard," Madam suggested calmly. "You can join them instead."

"I’m not doing that either," Angel grumbled, shaking her head. "And I also know what you secretly told April.... Nice try."

Madam let out a small, tired breath. "You really are an unbearable headache. I honestly don’t know what that poor girl saw in you that makes her so into you."

"It’s because you haven’t had sex with me," Angel smirked slightly, her defensive wall slipping right back up. "Your own daughter can testify to that fact. I am extremely good at that."

"If you are really so good at sex, then the adult clubs in the lower sector are always open," Madam retorted smoothly, not missing a single beat. "They are constantly in need of female Alpha escorts. You can go apply there."

"You are not going to give me my money today, are you?" Angel asked, her arrogant stance melting away as she looked completely defeated and frustrated by the older woman’s relentless taunting.

Now she truly saw where Abigail got her annoying, sarcastic behavior from.

It ran directly in the family.

"No," Madam muttered flatly. "I also heard that your cat is now officially expecting. You will definitely be needing more money for the doctor bills, new cat litter boxes, and other materials. You need to take proper care of your cats."

"Your stupid Goodland client is completely responsible for that," Angel snapped, pointing a finger toward the window.

"Do not go anywhere close to them," Madam warned, her voice hardening instantly. "They are extremely important guests to this district."

Angel shook her head in complete disbelief, letting out a dry laugh. "You know damn well they are not. You are just after their money and their network. Also, if they don’t cooperate with the child support, I’m going to make their lives an absolute misery."

Madam was already getting visibly exhausted from dealing with Angel’s constant disturbance. She rubbed her temples as if she was already getting a severe headache.

"Which job are you taking, young lady?" Madam demanded, wanting to end the conversation.

Angel paused, grinding her teeth together before letting out a sharp breath. "I will join the security squad, but I’m going to personally choose the exact location I will be patrolling."

"Discuss those details directly with Anthony," Madam said, picking up her pen once again. "I will have Javier send you your daily allowance shortly."

"You made your son-in-law the official financial manager?" Angel asked, raising an eyebrow in disgust.

"You don’t have any say in any of this business," Madam stated clearly without looking back up.

Angel said nothing more. She had already gotten what she originally came for anyway. Even if it was only for a short period of time, she was going to be doing things her own way.

Before Angel could step completely out of the office, Madam delivered her usual final words without even lifting her eyes from the paperwork.

"The only real way for you to ever do whatever you wish to do is for you to leave this district and never come back. Find a decent job that actually pays you real earnings. You are not worthy of bearing that name. This district is not your future."

"You are not the one to tell me how to live my life," Angel muttered back over her shoulder.

Angel pushed the door open and left the office, slamming it shut right behind her.
