When April couldn’t find Angel anywhere at the Terrace building, she immediately went straight to the main Morningstar Mansion to look for her. Thanks to Abigail, who had kindly informed her earlier that Angel had already gone back home, April knew exactly where to go.

April walked down the long, quiet hallway and knocked on Angel’s bedroom door several times before the tall girl finally opened it.

"What do you want?" Angel asked in a cold, distant voice, her eyes completely guarded.

"I was looking for you," April said softly, standing there in the doorway.

"You should go back to your mother and the Master, since you were clearly too ashamed to choose me in front of them out on the beach."

Angel took a step back and was about to slam the door right in April’s face.

"Please, don’t close the door. I want to stay with you tonight... You were right all along."

Angel stopped her movement, her hand holding the edge of the door. "I was right about what?"

"My mom... My mom is a gold digger. She really married for a luxurious lifestyle. It wasn’t a sweet love story or some second-chance romance at all. It was a well-planned story from the very start."

April’s voice trembled slightly, her shoulders shaking as she admitted it out loud.

"Angel, you can say it out loud now. I am the daughter of a gold digger, and I’m just a useless freeloader. I’m the daughter of a homewrecker."

She repeated the harsh words again, almost as if saying them enough times out loud would somehow make them hurt a little less inside her heart.

Angel was still genuinely angry that April had completely shut her out and pulled away at the beach party, but seeing the current broken state the Omega was in made her anger quickly fade away into nothing. April had clearly been crying for a long time, her eyes swollen and red.

Angel reached out, pulled her close into her space, and offered her a warm, tight hug.

She led April over to the bed and let the girl cuddle right against her chest while the Omega sniffed quietly against her warm skin.

"Can you even believe she actually said I seduced you?" April muttered softly against Angel’s shoulder.

"Yes, I believe that completely."

April pulled back slightly, staring up at her. "What? I did not!"

"Yes, you definitely did. If you hadn’t kicked me directly in the dragon balls that night, you wouldn’t be lying on top of my body right now with your dark hair tangled around your nose, sniffing like a little puppy."

"I kicked you because you were being so annoying back then, and you wouldn’t let me leave the house!" April huffed, her face flushing.

"Yes. That exact day officially began your master plan of seduction. Then you enchanted me with your sweet pheromones and completely changed the way I think. So your mom was actually right for once. You seduced me with your Omega pheromones."

April smiled at the silly response before leaning in and biting Angel’s cheek hard, trying her best to bite that dimpled smile completely away from her face.

"Hey, stop biting me! Don’t act like a big ant right now. That really stings!" Angel laughed out loud, turning her head and trying to get the Omega’s sharp teeth off her cheek.

"I’m only biting your dimple, and you’re already complaining like a baby? Did I complain when you tattooed my entire body with hickeys the last month?"

"That is completely different from this! This is not a hickey at all."

"So you want me to give you a real hickey right now, huh?"

April sat right up on top of Angel, looking down at her before quickly giving the Alpha soft kisses all over her face. She leaned down and sucked lightly on her neck skin, actively trying to leave a dark hickey behind.

Angel quickly took the absolute lead, wrapping her hands around April’s hips and flipping the Omega straight onto the soft mattress beneath them.

"See who has all the power now, huh?" Angel smirked down at her.

However, Angel’s little victory didn’t last long at all when April immediately started tickling her sensitive sides with both hands. Angel squirmed, bursting into laughter.

Finally, after a few minutes, their childish play naturally stopped.

Angel was resting on top of April, and both girls were breathing heavily, their chests rising and falling together in the quiet room.

Angel slowly leaned down to kiss her properly.

Their lips met in the middle, and both girls tasted each other deeply in the room.

Angel slowly pulled away, leaving only an inch of empty space between their lips.

April’s bright emerald eyes looked straight into Angel’s deep crimson ones. For a rare moment, both girls completely forgot about their complicated parents, the dramatic beach confrontation, and everything else happening around them.

All that truly mattered right now was the two of them.

"Angel... when you called me your lover out on the beach, what kind of lover did you actually mean?" April whispered softly, her warm breath hitting Angel’s skin.

"The kind of lover I want to keep right by my side until my very dying breath," Angel whispered back without a single second of hesitation.

April smiled warmly, reaching up to touch the Alpha’s soft face, slowly tracing the sharp lines of her beautiful cheekbones with her fingertips.

"Do you love me?" April asked softly.

"No. I don’t really know what love is supposed to be."

Angel paused for a second, staring into her eyes.

"But I know I feel something incredibly deep for you. I want to experience real love with you. I want you to teach me how to love, April."

"Even I don’t fully know what love is, Angel. I’ve only ever read romantic love stories in books, but in real life... real love stories are not like that..."

Before April could finish her sentence, Angel leaned straight in and pressed her lips firmly against hers, stopping her from saying anything sad or cynical.

"Let’s create our own love story then. Something completely different from the terrible ones we saw growing up. This one won’t just be empty words, but real pictures, just like the scrapbook you made a few months ago."

April smiled bright against the kiss.

"Hmmmm. That actually makes a lot of sense. I really like the thought of that. But I’m not even your official girlfriend yet. Are we even supposed to make those kind of memories if we’re not officially dating?"

She teased the Alpha gently, her eyes sparkling.

"What have we even been doing together for months then? We’re basically already girlfriends."

"Angel, ask me the actual question properly. When are you going to ask me to be your official girlfriend?"

"Do I really have to say it out loud? If I ask you this question now, you’ll be the one who goes out, finds a ring, and proposes to me later. I’m not the only one who is going to do everything in this relationship."

"Fine. Just go ahead and ask me already."

Angel sat right up on the bed and adjusted her shirt, trying her best to make a dramatic, grand proposal face.

"April January, will you please be my girlfriend forever and ever?"

"Okay, yes. But if it’s really for forever, then I’ll eventually end up becoming your wife someday."

"Okay, my dear girlfriend. Do you want to eat something now? Let’s go downstairs to the kitchen and find something good to eat because I’m actually starving."

They were officially girlfriends now.

And with their brand-new relationship came a heavy new challenge ahead.

Angel and April would now have to face whatever chaotic mess life threw at them together.
