Third Person

Angel sat in a corner, her eyes fixed on the people playing games inside her safe space.

She leaned her back against the wooden wall of the hut, her arms folded tightly across her bare chest as her crimson eyes narrowed into sharp, dangerous slits. Everyone was giggling and laughing at each other. Even April was wide awake now, completely ignoring the devil’s scary stare.

April sat right in the middle of the group, her hair tied back, her glasses resting neatly on her nose as she laughed softly at something Abigail said.

This was actually Angel’s fault.

She had ruined their afternoon fun, and now she was paying the price.

If she hadn’t stormed onto the beach court, dragged April away, and messed up their match, Sabrina and the others wouldn’t have hunted her down to take over her private spot.

Beside Angel, her pet Coco was curled up peacefully. Her eyes opened every time someone burst into loud laughter.

The orange fluff ball twitched her ears, letting out a small, soft sigh before settling her head back down on her paws. The hut was also Coco’s safe zone, and now everyone had occupied it.

She too was suffering from Angel’s stubborn attitude..

"This isn’t fair. I deserve to have my room to myself," Angel complained, looking grumpy.

"There are a lot of huts on this beach. If you want, you can go find another space, no one is pinning you down here.." Sabrina said.

Sabrina didn’t even look back at her, casually shuffling a set of game cards between her fingers.

"Or you can just go to the skate park with Coco and do some stunts," Abigail added.

Abigail rested her chin in her hands, giving Angel a wide, teasing smile that made Angel’s teeth grind together.

"It’s your wedding celebration, remember? Aren’t you supposed to be having your honeymoon with your old man? Why are you playing with bachelors who aren’t in your league? You’re the only married one here," Angel said.

She spat the words out with a sharp sneer, trying to drive a wedge into the group.

"Oh, please. I’m the bride. I do whatever I want. I’m always right," Abigail replied. "Do you guys have a problem with me being here?"

She flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder, looking around the small circle with an arrogant smirk.

"Definitely not."

"No, we don’t."

Everyone answered at once before continuing to laugh.

Katie cheered, waving her hands in the air, while Carlos nodded along with a wide grin on his face.

"You’re all insane. I’m getting out of here."

Angel growled under her breath, pushing her body up from the floor. Angel turned to pick up her cat, but Coco was sleeping peacefully. Angel didn’t want to disturb her, so she prepared to walk out.

"Alright, guys! Who’s ready for Never Have I Ever?" Carlos shouted, slapping his hands against the floor.

The wooden planks vibrated loudly under his palms, sending a echo through the small space.

Everyone cheered.

Katie let out a loud whistle, while Abigail grabbed the bottle of dark liquor.

Angel stopped in her tracks.

Never Have I Ever?

That sounded interesting.

Her crimson eyes flicked back over her shoulder, scanning the circle of people sitting on the floor. And it involved drinking.

April gets drunk tonight.

A sudden, dark spark flashed in Angel’s mind.

The memory of April acting completely shameless, stumbling around, and saying wild things last night made her pulse quicken.

Angel immediately began imagining all kinds of mischievous Lewd things she could do to the drunk April. And April will just throw herself on her..

As expected, Angel turned around and sat back down with them.

Everyone exchanged knowing looks.

Abigail smirked, Sabrina raised an eyebrow at her brother, and Katie hid a small giggle behind her shoulder. It was almost as if this had been their plan all along.

They wanted to keep Angel with them.

They knew her exact weaknesses, knew she couldn’t resist a drinking game, and knew she wouldn’t miss a chance to watch the four-eyed girl make a fool of herself.

A bottle of whiskey was placed in the center of the hut, along with shot glasses.

Everything was set.

"Alright, everyone knows the rules. We’re going to ask just 1 questions each," Carlos announced.

He raised his glass, his Spanish eyes scanning every single face in the circle.

"Never have I ever had sex."

Almost everyone, including April, took a shot.

April reached out her hand, grabbed her tiny glass without hesitation, and tipped the amber liquid straight down her throat. Her face screwed up instantly at the sharp burn, her throat bobbing as she swallowed it down.

"That’s my coworker! Welcome to the gang girl!" Katie said proudly, praising the once-innocent Omega who had been pulled into Angel’s chaotic love life.

Katie slammed her empty shot glass onto the floor, beaming brightly at the flushed girl beside her.

April and Katie bumped their fists together.

"My turn," Sabrina said, eyeing Angel.

She picked up the heavy whiskey bottle, refilling the small glasses scattered around the floor.

"Never have I ever had multiple sexual partners at the same time."

"Ohhh. Spicy."

Carlos let out a low whistle, immediately grabbing his glass and tossing it back. The twins took their shots, and so did Katie.

"You two twinies are my first harem, and I don’t regret any of the time we’ve spent together," Katie said, winking at the two blondes.

She wiped her mouth, giving Carlos and Sabrina a sly, wicked look.

April looked at Angel, expecting her to take a shot.

April tilted her head, her green eyes searching Angel’s deadpan face behind her round lenses.

It was obvious there wasn’t much Angel hadn’t done when it came to sex.

Given her wild reputation and the long trail of girls she dragged into her room, April was certain Angel would be the first to drink.

"Come on, Angel. What are you waiting for?" April asked.

She gestured toward the untouched shot glass sitting right in front of Angel’s boots.

"I’m not drinking," Angel said boldly.

She leaned back on her hands, her shoulders squared, her chin tilted high in the air.

"Why? Are you ashamed that you’ve slept with multiple girls at the same time?" April pressed her lips together, her voice laced with a subtle challenge.

"Yes, I’ve slept with a lot of girls. On the same bed, too. I’ll brag about it every single day. I’m proud of my sex life..."

Angel scoffed, her crimson eyes locking onto April’s with a cold, unbothered stare.

Angel paused.

She shifted her position slightly, crossing her ankles.

"But I don’t sleep with them at the same time. One at a time, so I can satisfy them fully..."

April didn’t believe her. She snorted and looked away, as if she had just heard the biggest lie of the century.

"My turn," Katie announced.

She leaned forward, tapping her fingernails against her fresh shot glass while her eyes darted around the room.

She glanced at April.

"Never have I ever read a patron’s entire library of books because I wanted someone to notice me."

April immediately knew Katie was talking about her.

Her heart gave a sudden, sharp thud against her ribs. The friend who had been praising her a moment ago was now attacking her with words.

This is why they say never tell your friends your secrets.

And it was Katie who had advice her to read all the books Benny comes to borrow so she could relate with her ....

"I’m going to drink because I’ve done that," Katie said.

She took her shot, and April followed.

April grabbed her glass, downing the whiskey in one quick gulp to hide her embarrassment behind the burning liquid.

At least Katie’s mission had worked. She had gotten exactly what she wanted.

April’s first attempt, however, had been a complete waste of time and an embarrassing failure.

Angel began laughing at her.

A sharp, cruel chuckle burst out of Angel’s throat, her dimples showing as she pointed a finger at April’s flushed face.

"And she didn’t even get the Beta," Angel teased.

That annoyed April.

She stared across the circle at the laughing Alpha, her hands tightening into fists in her lap.

"I guess it’s my turn," April said, glaring at Angel as if she wanted to set her on fire.

She picked up her shot glass.

Her fingers wrapped firmly around the heavy glass, filling it to the brim with amber liquor.

"Never have I ever.. had sex with an omega and knotted them for hours..."

Everyone’s eyes widened.

Abigail gasped, her hand flying to her mouth, while Sabrina and Carlos froze....

No need to say who it was, April was already staring at the person...

April immediately grabbed her shot.

"I am the Omega that got knotted for hours...""

Even though the question had obviously been aimed at Angel, April drank anyway.

Angel swallowed hard.

That was something that should be taken to her grave....

Every single one of them was staring at her.

Abigail was smirking, Carlos had a knowing grin, and Sabrina was looking at her in total shock.

Slowly, Angel picked up her own shot.

She downed the entire shot..

The room fell completely silent.

It was finally confirmed..

For the first time that night, the shameless Alpha looked genuinely embarrassed.

Her Pride was done...
