Sylvia smiled and gently pulled me closer.

She rubbed her nose lightly against my cheek before smiling to herself.

"So perfect," she whispered.

There was so much warmth in her eyes that I couldn’t look away.

She stayed there for another moment before leaning in and pressing a soft kiss against my lips.

It was gentle and slow.

A kiss that lingered just long enough to leave my heart fluttering.

When she pulled away, she looked at me with a small smile.

"Let me prepare a bath for you."

I nodded. "Okay."

She smiled again before climbing out of bed.

I watched her as she walked barefoot across the room, her hair swaying softly behind her.

When she reached the bathroom door, she pushed it open and disappeared inside.

A moment later, the quiet sound of running water drifted into the room.

I leaned back against the headboard with a faint smile, listening to the soothing sound while waiting for her.

The sound of running water continued for several minutes before it finally stopped.

A moment later, the bathroom door opened.

Warm steam drifted into the bedroom, carrying the faint scent of lavender and jasmine.

Sylvia stepped out with a satisfied smile.

"The bath’s ready."

She walked back to the bed and stopped in front of me.

"Think you can stand?"

I smiled faintly. "I’ll try."

I planted my hands on the mattress and started to sit up, but the moment I shifted, my body protested.

Sylvia was already there.

"Easy."

She slipped one arm around my waist while taking my hand with the other.

"I’ve got you."

I let out a quiet laugh.

I slowly climbed out of bed. My legs felt a little weak, making me lean into her without thinking.

She smiled but didn’t tease me. Instead, she adjusted her hold around my waist.

"Come on."

She guided me across the room. The polished wooden floor felt cool beneath my bare feet.

When we reached the bathroom, another wave of warm steam wrapped around us.

The marble bathroom glowed beneath the soft golden lights.

The large soaking tub was already filled, thin wisps of steam curling gently above the water. Lavender bath salts had dissolved completely, leaving behind a calming fragrance, while a few white flower petals floated lazily across the surface.

"It’s beautiful," I whispered.

Sylvia smiled. "I’m glad you like it."

She helped me step carefully into the tub.

The warm water surrounded me immediately, melting away some of the tension I hadn’t realized I was still carrying.

A quiet sigh escaped my lips.

"Mmm..."

Sylvia smiled knowingly. "Better?"

I nodded, letting my shoulders sink deeper into the water.

"So much better."

She picked up a soft washcloth, dipped it into the warm water, and gently wrung it out.

"Close your eyes."

I did.

The warm cloth brushed softly across my forehead before moving down to my cheeks.

Her touch was slow. As though she was afraid of missing even the smallest spot.

She washed my face with gentle strokes before moving to my neck and shoulders.

The warmth of the water, the softness of the cloth, and the tenderness in every movement gradually eased the weight inside my chest.

I hadn’t realized how exhausted I was until now.

Sylvia worked quietly, occasionally pouring warm water over my shoulders to rinse away the soap.

Her fingers lightly massaged my scalp as she worked shampoo through my hair.

I couldn’t help smiling.

"Mmm..."

"That feels nice?"

I nodded with my eyes still closed. "Very."

She chuckled softly. "I thought it might."

Her fingertips continued their slow circles against my scalp, gentle enough to make me want to fall asleep right there in the tub.

I leaned back, completely trusting her.

The only sounds in the room were the quiet splash of water, the soft rustle of her movements, and our steady breathing.

Sylvia smiled when she saw the tension slowly leaving my face.

"Feeling better?"

I opened my eyes and nodded. "A lot better."

"I’m glad."

She set the washcloth aside and reached for the bottle of shampoo before rinsing the last traces of soap from my hair. Warm water flowed gently over my head, and she brushed the damp strands away from my face.

She smiled with quiet satisfaction.

"All clean."

I looked up at her for a moment before glancing at the steaming bathwater.

"Aren’t you getting in too?"

Sylvia blinked. "I made this for you."

I reached for her hand. "And I want you here with me."

She looked at our joined hands before a small smile tugged at her lips.

"You really don’t want to be alone for even a few minutes, do you?"

I shook my head. "No."

Her smile softened. "You’re clingy."

"I know. And you’re not complaining."

She laughed quietly. "No... I’m not."

Still holding my hand, she stood and slipped out of her robe, folding it neatly over a nearby chair before carefully stepping into the tub.

The warm water rippled around us as she settled beside me.

"It’s warmer than I expected," she said with a contented sigh.

I smiled. "See? I told you."

She leaned back against the tub, closing her eyes for a moment.

Without thinking, I reached for the small sponge floating nearby.

Sylvia peeked at me through one eye. "What are you doing?"

"You took care of me."

I dipped the sponge into the warm water and squeezed it gently over her shoulder.

"Now it’s my turn."

A surprised smile crossed her face.

"My turn to spoil you."

She watched me quietly as I carefully wiped the damp sponge across her shoulder and down her arm.

My movements weren’t nearly as practiced as hers had been, but I did my best.

"You missed a spot," she teased.

I frowned. "I did not."

"You definitely did."

I laughed and lightly dabbed the sponge against her shoulder again.

"There."

"Happy now?"

She nodded with an exaggerated smile.

"Much better."

I rolled my eyes, unable to stop smiling.

She reached over and gently tucked a damp strand of hair behind my ear.

"You really are adorable."

Warm water lapped softly against the sides of the tub as we sat together, smiling at each other.

For a little while, neither of us spoke. We simply enjoyed the peaceful silence, the warmth of the bath, and the comfort of being together.

The water had begun to cool by the time we finally decided to get out.

Sylvia stood first and stepped carefully onto the bath mat. She reached for my hand almost immediately.

"Come on."

I placed my hand in hers, and she helped me climb out of the tub.

Water streamed down our bodies, dripping onto the marble floor in soft, steady drops.

I reached for the stack of fresh towels on the counter and unfolded one.

Sylvia looked at me curiously.

"What?"

I smiled. "Stand still."

Without waiting for an answer, I gently draped the towel over her shoulders.

She laughed softly. "Minnie..."

I ignored the smile on her face and carefully began drying her hair first, patting it gently instead of rubbing it.

"You spent all that time taking care of me," I murmured. "It’s only fair that I take care of you too."

Her expression softened.

She didn’t argue again.

I continued drying her hair before moving to her shoulders and arms, making sure no water was left behind. Every now and then, I glanced up at her face to see if she was comfortable.

She simply stood there, watching me with the gentlest smile.

When I finished, I wrapped the towel securely around her.

"There."

She looked down at herself before looking back at me.

"You forgot someone."

I blinked.

"Hm?"

"You."

Only then did I realize I was still dripping wet.

I laughed awkwardly. "I guess I did."

Sylvia picked up another clean towel and stepped closer.

"My turn."

She lifted the towel over my head and gently rubbed my damp hair until I laughed.

"You’re messing it up."

She smiled mischievously, deliberately ruffling it a little more before slowing her movements.

Her hands became gentler as she dried my face, my shoulders, and my arms.

The soft cotton felt warm against my skin.

When she finished, she wrapped the towel around me just as carefully as I had wrapped hers around her.

"There."

She gave the front of the towel a small pat.

"Now we’re even."

I smiled. "I liked taking care of you."

"And I like taking care of you too."

For a moment, we simply stood there smiling at each other.

Then Sylvia reached for my hand. "Come on."

She intertwined our fingers and led me out of the bathroom.

The warm light from the bedroom greeted us as we stepped back inside.

Still wrapped in our towels, Sylvia took my hand and led me back into the bedroom.

She walked straight to the wardrobe and pulled the doors open. After quietly looking through the neatly arranged clothes, she smiled to herself before taking out two matching cream-colored silk pajamas.

She held one up with a satisfied smile before tossing the other toward me.

"Catch."

I caught it against my chest and laughed softly.

"You planned this?"

She shrugged, but the smile tugging at the corners of her lips gave her away.

"I like matching with my girlfriend."

Warmth spread across my cheeks.

"You really are something else."

She only smiled.

Turning away, she let the towel around her body fall before slipping into the silky pajamas. The smooth fabric settled perfectly against her skin as she buttoned the top and casually folded the sleeves back to her wrists.

I quickly dried myself again before changing into mine.

By the time I finished, Sylvia had already turned around.

She simply stood there, quietly looking at me.

"What?" I asked, suddenly feeling shy under her gaze.

She walked over until only a small space remained between us.

"You look beautiful."

I lowered my eyes with a smile.

"You say that every time."

"Because it’s true."

She reached up and gently straightened my collar before fastening the button I had forgotten near my neck.

"There."

Her fingers lingered for a moment as she tucked a damp strand of hair behind my ear.

"Perfect."

I looked down at our matching pajamas and couldn’t help smiling.

"We really do match."

"We do."

She intertwined her fingers with mine and gave my hand a gentle squeeze.

"Come on."

Before we climbed into bed, Sylvia stopped in front of her vanity.

She reached for a small glass bottle filled with midnight body oil.

The moment she uncapped it, a soft floral fragrance drifted into the room, carrying delicate hints of vanilla, jasmine, and sandalwood.

She poured a little into her palm.

I smiled as I walked over.

"Using it without me?"

She looked up with an amused smile.

"I wasn’t."

She held the bottle toward me.

"Come here."

Instead of taking the oil from her, I gently took the bottle from her hand.

"Tonight..." I smiled. "Let me take care of you."

Sylvia raised an eyebrow but obediently turned around.

I poured a small amount into my palm. The silky oil warmed almost instantly against my skin.

Rubbing my hands together, I gently placed them on her shoulders.

Slowly...

Carefully...

I massaged the oil into her skin, my hands gliding across her shoulders, down her arms, and lightly over the back of her neck.

The faint glow it left behind made her smooth skin look even softer beneath the bedroom lights.

Sylvia closed her eyes and sighed quietly.

"Mmm..."

"That feels nice."

I smiled to myself and continued until every trace of dryness had disappeared.

Only then did I hand the bottle back to her.

She looked at it.

Then at me.

A small smile curved across her lips.

"No."

She pushed it back into my hands.

"You forgot someone."

I laughed softly.

"I was about to."

Before I could pour any into my palm, Sylvia gently took the bottle from me again.

"This time..."

"My turn."

She poured a little into her own palm before rubbing her hands together.

Her warm hands settled against my shoulders.

Unlike mine, her touch wasn’t meant to massage.

It was gentle...

Slow...

Almost worshipful.

She smoothed the oil over my arms before moving to my shoulders, carefully rubbing it into my skin.

The warmth of her palms, mixed with the delicate fragrance of the oil, slowly melted away the little tension that still lingered inside me.

When she finished, she softly brushed both hands over my shoulders one last time before capping the bottle.

She placed it neatly back on the vanity.

"There."

She looked at me with quiet satisfaction.

"Now we’re both ready for bed."

I smiled before reaching for her hand again, intertwining our fingers.

"I like being spoiled by you."

She chuckled softly.

"And I like spoiling my girlfriend."

Still smiling at each other, we walked back toward the bed together.

Sylvia sat down on the edge of the bed first before gently pulling me down beside her.

I went willingly, leaning against her shoulder almost out of instinct.

Without saying a word, she wrapped an arm around me and gently pulled me closer until my head rested comfortably against her.

Her fingers slipped into my still-damp hair, slowly combing through the strands with gentle strokes.

Neither of us spoke.

The room was quiet except for the soft hum of the air conditioner and the occasional rustle of the curtains as the night breeze slipped in through the slightly opened window.

The familiar scent of lavender, jasmine, and Sylvia’s perfume lingered around me, wrapping itself around my senses like a warm blanket.

I closed my eyes.

The events of today still lingered at the back of my mind.

Camila’s trembling voice.

The hurt in her eyes.

The way she walked away without looking back.

My chest tightened again.

Almost immediately, Sylvia’s fingers paused in my hair before gently stroking it again, slower this time.

It was as though she could feel every emotion I was trying so hard to hide.

I let out a quiet breath and buried my face deeper against her shoulder.

She didn’t ask any questions.

She simply held me.

And somehow...

That was exactly what I needed.

The ache inside my chest didn’t disappear.

But little by little...

It became easier to breathe.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her a little tighter.

"Thank you," I whispered so quietly I wasn’t even sure she heard me.

She smiled softly and kissed the top of my head.

"You don’t have to thank me, Minnie."

"I’ll always be here."
