Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2492: Resting on Will Caddel’s Shoulder

After Sam’s people left, the ZR people also went to the parking lot to get their cars, exchanged a few pleasantries, and left one after another.

Jasmine Yale walked out of the KTV, yawned, squinted her eyes, and looked up at the sunrise in the sky.

Winter morning fog blanketed the surroundings, making it especially cold. The clouds were thick, sunlight pierced the white clouds, and the golden light quickly tinted everything in a layer of gold.

The sun was soft and weak.

All around, the wind blew, dispersing the fog, which drifted leisurely above the city.

Jasmine stood in the wind for a few minutes, her bangs got damp from the fog, sticking to her forehead.

She tightened her scarf, and tucked her hands into her coat pockets.

There weren’t many people on the street, but quite a few kept coming out of the KTV, all having played through the night.

Jasmine’s eyes were a bit swollen, hard to keep open. She hadn’t stayed up all night for a long time and wasn’t used to it; she kept yawning.

Will Caddel stood beside her, waiting with her for the driver to bring the car around.

On such a morning, everywhere was a vast expanse of white.

Amid the fog, he lit a cigarette.

The smoke mixed with the white mist, enveloping his sharply defined face.

"Cold?" He looked down at Jasmine.

Jasmine shook her head, "Not cold, the room was quite warm."

"Get some sleep when you get back. You don’t need to go to work today; I’ll inform Old Quinto."

"No need to work? Thank you, CEO Caddel."

"In this state, how can you work? Hmm?"

"Thanks, CEO Caddel."

Jasmine felt the same; she got sleepy as soon as she came out, yawning several times. Her vision was blurry, and at this state, even if she went to the office, she’d be distracted.

"Another thanks." Will chucked lightly.

While they were talking, the driver brought the car around and stopped.

Jasmine got into Will’s car, and Will sat beside her.

Will still had good energy and, after getting in, put out the cigarette butt, adjusted his coat, and instructed the driver to drive.

After a night awake, Jasmine was really tired.

Not long after getting into the car, she leaned against a pillow and quickly fell asleep.

The car traveled through the vast fog on the wide road.

The KTV was far from Jasmine’s home, and the Bentley took nearly an hour to get there.

The car arrived but Jasmine hadn’t woken up yet.

"CEO Caddel, the car can’t go inside," the driver said softly.

Will, who had been resting with his eyes closed the whole way, opened his eyes then, looking at the neighborhood through the window.

Under the white mist, the neighborhood was especially quiet, and the place had some years on it.

At some point, Jasmine had leaned onto his shoulder, sleeping soundly, her cheeks flushed, long eyelashes drooping, completely still.

Will turned to look at her face close by, gently took a blanket to cover her.

Jasmine still didn’t wake.

Will knew staying up all night was exhausting, but he could tell that Jasmine had a good mood tonight.

The driver didn’t dare act without instruction and quietly parked the car by the roadside parking lot.

Jasmine’s head remained on Will’s shoulder without moving, so Will didn’t move either.

He was also somewhat tired, so he simply didn’t speak and closed his eyes to continue resting.

The car was warm, like spring, in stark contrast to the cold outside.

A thin layer of mist had long formed on the car windows. Soon, as the sun shone through, the mist turned into droplets, streaming down along the texture of the glass.
