Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2512: He Rubbed Her Head

Will Caddel held a half-finished glass of red wine as he leaned down towards Jasmine Yale, a light smile playing on his lips: "What’s got you chatting so happily?"

"Lisa’s complimenting your looks," Jasmine replied with a grin.

"Oh? She’s complimenting my looks, why are you smiling?"

"It’s a matter of pride. Having a handsome boss makes me look good."

Will chuckled at her words: "Your thinking is very immature, too young, too simple."

At this moment, Jasmine Yale appeared particularly youthful and sweet, especially with her beautiful hair accessories, giving off a completely different vibe from her usual work demeanor, like a pampered little princess, leaving Will a bit dazed from the drinks.

As if on a whim, he gently ruffled her hair and then withdrew his hand.

The simple, brief gesture fit seamlessly, evoking a brotherly fondness.

"CEO Caddel, have a drink." The UT lady raised her glass, inviting Will.

Will clinked glasses with her symbolically: "Thank you for chatting with Jasmine, she’s slow to warm up, so bear with her."

"You’re too kind, CEO Caddel, Miss Yale is quite sharp-tongued, I can’t keep up with her."

Jasmine looked up at Will, standing beside her: "CEO Caddel, drink less, don’t get drunk."

"Mmm, I’ll remember, don’t worry."

"Mmm!" Jasmine had great trust in Will.

Will was particularly measured, adept at self-control and assessing situations, so she’d never seen Will lose his cool, let alone get drunk.

He always lived with clarity, knowing exactly what he was doing and wanted.

So Jasmine never worried about him, making her job as his secretary quite relaxed.

Will chatted with Jasmine for a bit before returning to the main venue.

Seated on the sofa, Jasmine indulged in some fruits and sweets with a few UT ladies when she wasn’t drinking.

The venue was lively but not noisy, with everyone very polite and pleasant in conversation, creating a particularly soothing atmosphere.

The sound of piano music began, and Jasmine leaned her head, thoroughly enjoying the moment.

Sometimes, her gaze would fall upon Will in the crowd.

Lisa teased: "You’ve only been apart for a short while, and already you’re searching for CEO Caddel. There’s a word for that, ’inseparable’, right?"

"Lisa, you don’t understand, I’m terrible with directions. I came with CEO Caddel, if he disappears, I won’t be able to find my way back."

"I don’t believe it."

"Alright, try some mango, it’s quite tasty."

"CEO Caddel is very handsome, extremely handsome, if you’re single, use the opportunity wisely. You have a saying, ’proximity to advantage’, anyway, we don’t stand a chance."

"Lisa, who taught you Chinese? It’s quite good."

The UT lady laughed: "Thanks for the compliment."

Jasmine truly enjoyed the current atmosphere; sometimes she couldn’t help but softly hum along with the piano music, feeling particularly happy.

Perhaps the red wine had an uplifting effect; after a few glasses, her cheeks flushed slightly, feeling particularly cheerful.

With Will not coming over again, she chatted with others on her own. Of course, there was no shortage of young men trying to hit on her, all of whom Jasmine politely declined with a smile.

"Miss Yale, there are so many cute guys hitting on you, none you fancy?"

Jasmine wasn’t one to hide things and laughed: "I already have a daughter."

"What? Really?" The UT woman’s mouth dropped wide open in surprise, "You can’t tell at all."
