Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2514: Pregnant with Twins

The venue felt stuffy.

Jasmine Yale felt hot all over, so she simply stood up and went out.

Will Caddel had already smoked a cigarette. He stood in the wind, his shadow elongated by the streetlight, standing alone.

As Jasmine approached, he was on the phone. It wasn’t clear who he was speaking to, but it seemed like there was a disagreement. His expression wasn’t good.

When he saw Jasmine, he hung up the phone and walked over.

"Why did you come out?"

Jasmine smiled a little: "It’s a bit hot inside, I came out for some air."

"This place is quite large, don’t get lost. If anything comes up, remember to call me." Will looked at Jasmine under the shadows of the sycamore trees.

The shadow of leaves was cast on her face, subtly covering her eyes, giving her gentle features a hazy and dreamy feel under the trees, making Will feel somewhat dazed.

He rubbed his temples and withdrew his gaze: "I’ve had a bit too much to drink."

"CEO Caddel, should we head back? It’s getting late."

"Everyone else hasn’t left yet. It’s not suitable for me to leave early. I’ll have the driver take you back. Get some rest."

"Since my boss hasn’t left, I shouldn’t leave early either."

Will smiled slightly.

A leaf fell, gently landing on her hair.

Will’s eyes had a deep, melancholy sheen. He raised his hand, gently brushing away the leaf, his gaze shifting downwards, landing on her face.

They were standing very close.

Will’s eyes were filled with profound, unresolved emotions, as deep and unseeable as an abyss.

He gazed at Jasmine for a long while, thinking he must be drunk...

The light and moonlight merged together, and Jasmine’s champagne-colored evening dress exuded a serene and tranquil hue.

After a while, he turned around: "Let’s go back inside."

"Okay." Jasmine followed Will.

He carried a faint scent of tobacco. Jasmine didn’t know how many cigarettes he’d smoked tonight. Will normally didn’t smoke much.

Back in the venue, Will continued to chat cheerfully, mingling well with several other CEOs, constantly discussing collaborations and prospects in the financial industry.

Jasmine returned to her previous seat, casually chatting with several of the ladies.

She inadvertently spotted a familiar figure flash by.

Jasmine looked intently and it was a woman with a big belly; the woman was walking fast, just a fleeting glimpse, but Jasmine still saw it was... Erin Janus.

Her belly was so big now.

But of course, it’s been several months, maybe she’s carrying twins.

Erin didn’t linger in the venue, walking quickly with several bodyguards following her.

Her outfit tonight was very low-key, flat shoes, sunglasses, a long dress, her belly protruding, no makeup, her head kept low.

Jasmine watched her back for a few minutes, then chuckled, withdrawing her gaze.

Women who become mothers always look happy. Even someone as spoiled as Erin Janus isn’t an exception, her face was full of a contented smile.

Carrying the child of someone she loves, how could she not be happy.

Women change a lot after becoming mothers. She felt Erin had changed too.

She used to love being the center of attention everywhere she went, but now she’s learned to keep a low profile.

Soon, the figures of Erin and her bodyguards disappeared from the venue, heading in the direction of the rest area.

Lately, she hadn’t been following James Group’s news. There wasn’t much entertainment news about the James Group, with most coverage focusing on that large financial project, a heavily invested project.
