Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2545: We Didn’t Intentionally Avoid Pregnancy

Jasmine Yale was taken aback for a moment, then stood up, assessed him with a glance, and smiled, "Hello, I’m Jasmine Yale."

The man was of average height, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, dressed casually and looked quite refined.

"Hello, please have a seat." The man was rather polite, glanced at Jasmine Yale, and sat down opposite her.

Jasmine Yale sat back in her original seat, facing Justin Usama.

He casually picked up the tablet, "What would you like to drink? I’ll order."

"A cup of cappuccino will do."

"Alright."

The man didn’t seem to talk much, probably related to his profession in software development.

He ordered a cup of cappuccino for Jasmine Yale and an Americano for himself, along with some snacks.

Jasmine Yale noticed he was somewhat different from other tech guys; at least not so wooden nor insensitive to romance, quite polite and gentlemanly.

Before the waiter brought their order, he looked at Jasmine Yale and introduced himself first: "Miss Yale, I work at a software company, mainly developing software. My usual work hours are from nine to five, currently an associate director, sometimes working overtime, planning to settle in Cakago. I’ve had a brief marriage before, lasting five months, mainly divorced due to incompatibility, and my ex-wife has returned to her country and won’t come back to Cakago."

Justin Usama was quite honest about his situation with Jasmine Yale.

Jasmine Yale nodded, "Aunt Undine has already mentioned it, saying you’re a good person, and the divorce was mainly because your ex-wife was unfaithful. I think unfaithfulness is certainly intolerable, and there’s only the difference between zero times and multiple times, so divorce is understandable."

"That’s what I think too. I’ve always been loyal to marriage. Of course, it might also be my fault that led her to infidelity. During the early months of our marriage, I was indeed busy with work, traveling to several countries, neglecting her feelings."

"Once married, you must be loyal to each other. Everyone has their own job, and being busy is inevitable." Jasmine Yale believed that being busy at work shouldn’t be a reason for infidelity.

"Miss Yale sees things clearly. That’s what I feel deep down, although I do have regrets for not being able to accompany her well. If I have another marriage, I would make improvements."

"There’s no need for intentional changes. A man should focus on his career."

"Miss Yale, you’re really understanding." The man smiled, "Honestly, I’ve met a few girls, and they all think a man’s lack of time for them is an original sin. They lose interest once they hear I have to work overtime."

Jasmine Yale also smiled, what a situation...

"It’s quite relaxing to chat with Miss Yale, you’re such a laid-back person," Justin Usama said.

"Is that so? Occasionally I can be laid-back. Since you introduced yourself, I’ll introduce myself too. I’m currently a secretary at a financial company, quite busy with work, but I spend all my free time with family. I have a daughter who was just born this New Year. As for other things... Aunt Undine should have told you."

"Financial company? Nice."

"I have a daughter." Jasmine Yale emphasized.

"Oh, I don’t mind at all. I personally like children very much."

"Why didn’t you have a child with your ex-wife?"

"I was busy with work during the early months of our marriage, so my ex-wife didn’t get pregnant. We didn’t intentionally use contraception."

"Oh, I see."

"Though I’m not professionally skilled at entertaining children, I do have my ways, and kids generally like me."
