Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2600: Nineteen Years...

Sometimes, when Will Caddel chats with his colleagues, Jasmine Yale would stand by the window to rest. From the clear glass, she could see the enchanting nightlife outside, with bright streetlights and lush plants.

Occasionally, she would also watch the men and women dancing on the dance floor.

She drank a bit too much, feeling a little dizzy.

Lately, her drinking tolerance has improved, but she doesn’t dare to get drunk. Will Caddel said that when she’s drunk, she tends to babble inexplicable things.

Hearing Will say that, she doesn’t dare to drink too much.

She looked up and happened to see Sylvan Cheney and Erin Janus sitting on a nearby sofa.

They were chatting, Erin was smiling happily, always looking toward the dance floor, while Sylvan maintained his usual cool demeanor.

Heh...

Jasmine took a sip of red wine.

She stared at Sylvan for a long time.

Sometimes, in her dizziness, she wonders if this is the man she’s known for nineteen years?

Nineteen years... from a young boy back then to the married man now, he’s changed a lot.

In his youth, he had a certain warmth, but now, he only has maturity and depth.

Of course, she’s changed too.

She used to be a little one with pigtails, quite short.

She feels like she doesn’t recognize him anymore. Though it’s still the face she’s most familiar with, she doesn’t recognize it at all.

In her drunkenness, Jasmine’s eyes were a bit dazed, and even her vision blurred.

He’s Evan, not Sylvan Cheney...

Erin occasionally whispered something in his ear. He listened, not speaking much, but his face looked serious, genuinely paying attention.

One of Erin’s hands rested on her big belly, her eyes filled with a happy smile.

Everything he wished for has come true; he has everything, and their daughter is about to be born.

Jasmine turned around, quietly gazing at the long night outside the window.

The endless night, boundless and infinite.

She missed Little Clementine, missed her so much.

Jasmine lowered her head, placed the wine glass on the windowsill, and took out her phone. It wasn’t too late, and she wondered what Little Clementine was up to.

She dialed Butler Santana’s phone: "Butler Santana..."

"Miss Yale? Coming back tomorrow, right? Is it cold in Old York? Has it cooled down?"

"It was a bit cold a few days ago, but not today."

"You must be missing Little Clementine. The little one isn’t asleep yet, gets quite lively at night, a real night owl."

Butler Santana knew what was on Jasmine’s mind and brought Little Clementine over, letting her hold the phone.

"Bo bo..." Little Clementine made noises on that end.

Jasmine smiled: "Little Clementine, have you been good? Did you listen to Grandma Santana? Mommy will be back tomorrow, bought you a gift, are you happy?"

Upon hearing Jasmine’s familiar voice, Little Clementine got excited on the other end, holding the phone tightly.

"Alright, Mommy will be back tomorrow. Shall we do a video call? Let Mommy see you."

Butler Santana, hearing Jasmine’s request, complied by starting the video call.

As soon as the video started, Jasmine saw Little Clementine leaning on the phone, her tiny hands tapping on the screen nonstop.

Jasmine laughed, greedily watching Little Clementine’s face.

Her daughter, truly adorable...

Jasmine held the phone tightly: "Little Clementine, raise your head, raise your head, let Mommy see."

Little Clementine cooperated well.

Upon seeing Jasmine, she grinned foolishly at her.

"Silly girl, why did I give birth to such a silly girl? Being too silly isn’t good; she can be tricked away with a piece of candy." Jasmine looked at Little Clementine’s face, laughing dazedly.
