Gigi:

His cabin had only one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a small living room.

I was sitting on the couch, going through everything Rocky had brought me.

"You came all the way here just to see this?" he asked.

I finally lifted my head from his second phone. He had recorded quite a lot.

Since Ragnar had found the river’s location through my brother’s messages, I hadn’t wanted to take any risks.

Their usual spot by the river had been discovered, they found another location farther along the same river, through the woods, and I instructed Rocky to meet Diana there instead.

To be honest, she had looked terrified when she arrived.

Even more frightened than Jenna had been.

It was as if all the life had been drained out of her.

But what did that have to do with me?

It wasn’t my fault.

I didn’t want to do things like this.

I hated seeing girls treated that way, but people kept forcing me into situations where I had no choice.

"I don’t have anywhere else to stay right now," I said anxiously, tossing his phone onto the couch beside me.

Rocky immediately snatched it up before dragging a chair closer.

He sat directly across from me, his elbows resting on his thighs and one fist tucked beneath his chin.

"Tell me honestly. What’s going on? You’re Ragnar’s fucking girlfriend. You could stay practically anywhere you wanted, so why are you here?"

This time, I had to give him my version of the story.

"You know about my brother, right?" I asked.

A smile slowly crept across his face.

"Well, I’m angry with everyone, and I’m worried about everything going on. So I decided to disappear for a while and let them worry about me instead," I explained, leaning back against the couch with my hands resting on my knees.

"Ah. Right. A little payback. Got it." He chuckled. "You had me worried for a second."

Rocky rose from the chair and crossed the room to pour himself a glass of wine.

"I’m not drinking," I snapped.

He ignored me and held another glass out anyway.

I reluctantly took it and sipped from it while he swallowed his own drink in one go.

"Relax. I’m not going to drug you. I’m definitely not stupid enough to force myself on Ragnar’s girlfriend."

He paused.

Something about the way he said it sent a chill through me.

His gaze lingered over my body long enough to make me regret coming here alone.

"Be careful," I warned him. "I can have you killed."

His jaw tightened.

Rocky shook his head before lowering himself back into the chair.

"Of course you could. But wouldn’t Ragnar be a little upset if he found out what you’ve been making me do?"

My body went rigid.

Rocky leaned forward.

"You’re the one sending these girls to me, remember? That might be enough for me to tell everyone that you were the one dragging me into all of this."

He tilted his head thoughtfully.

"Or maybe I could tell Diana I’ll delete every picture and video if she agrees to tell everyone the truth. That you tricked her into coming to your house, drugged her, and then called me in."

A cruel smile touched his lips.

"What do you think?"

My jaw nearly dropped.

For a moment, I could only stare at him.

Then I remembered that people like Rocky actually existed in this world.

And they were cunning and disgusting.

And far more dangerous than I had given him credit for.

"You’re not going to do that," I warned him in a shaky breath.

"Of course not. I’m not stupid. I don’t want to die."

I let out a relieved breath, but then he added, "I do want a little-you know, affection."

He mumbled the last word.

"You’re not getting enough from Diana?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

The movement immediately drew his attention downward.

"How about a little something from Alpha King Ragnar’s girlfriend?"

Rocky moved closer, planting a hand on either side of me as he leaned over the couch.

I immediately pressed myself farther back into the cushions.

"I just want to know what his girlfriend is like," he murmured, moving far too close.

That was when I understood what he was doing.

Everyone wanted something that belonged to an Alpha King.

Some people stole their wine. Others tried to get their hands on their clothes.

Rocky was simply aiming much higher.

"Come on. You don’t want that kind of trouble for yourself, do you?" I warned.

He ignored me, placing his fingers against the edge of my sweater as though he intended to lift it.

Underneath, I was wearing a dress with an extremely low neckline.

"And I bet you want some affection too, especially after what happened with your brother," he continued. "Isn’t that why you ran away? You don’t want anyone thinking you might have been involved in any of this."

He leaned closer, lowering his voice beside my ear.

"You want attention, and you want someone to care about you too, don’t you?"

I didn’t want any of it, but at that moment, he somehow managed to convince me.

I was lonely.

Both Jaguar and Theodore had told me to go to Ragnar for comfort, and when I finally did, he dismissed me.

So I didn’t fight back.

Rocky lifted my sweater over my head and tossed it aside.

Underneath, my dress had shifted badly.

The small cups that were supposed to cover my areolas had slipped out of place, leaving me exposed.

His eyes widened.

I watched him swallow hard.

It was obvious what he wanted.

"What are you thinking of doing?" I asked, remembering Theodore and Jaguar and the way they had looked at my breasts too.

"If it’s okay, may I suck your tits for a while?" Rocky murmured against the back of my neck.

His hands slid behind my back, rubbing firmly as he pressed his face against my chest.

He kissed the exposed skin there before slowly moving to the side and pressing another kiss to my breast.
