Four Split Personalities

Throughout history, in the advanced realms of Mysticism, ’support spirits’ have never been a rare existence. In fact, they are widely useful, highly functional, diligent, and very cost-effective, thus they have always remained enduring.

Apprenticed to both the all-systems Magic Instructor Ana Ta Lasha and the Grand Astrologist Diana A. Achizolti, two ladies who possess many excellent traits such as strength, wealth, and solitude (though Diana is no longer solitary now), Double Leaf naturally knows what a guardian spirit really is. In fact, she has encountered quite a few support spirits during the more than half a year she has been into this game.

For the simplest example, most standalone Mage Towers have a tower spirit, and these ’tower spirits’ are a type of support spirit.

During Double Leaf’s studies with Ana, she often saw the tower spirit named [True Crimson Klausel V. Xutalian Shuvazer] in the latter’s Mage Tower.

A tall, elegant figure with smooth long hair, adorned in colorful dresses (changing colors according to the weather and days), charming yet androgynous, embodying gentlemanly elegance with a low, magnetic voice.

Though Ana’s theoretical power is not very strong, the tower spirit she has invested enormous effort into creating, known as... uh, simply referred to as Xutalian, is quite ’advanced’.

Firstly, the tower spirit is rather handsome, and to make an entirely elemental constructed artificial life form this absurdly handsome is indeed an outrageously massive undertaking, knowing that most tower spirits usually take the form of arcane eyes, crystal balls, flames, or whirlwinds. A higher level may resemble cats or dogs or faceless figures (the model is too hard to make, beneath the cloak it is empty), and as for humanoid forms, especially ones like Xutalian who could earn at least a thousand gold coins a day working as a male escort, calling it unbelievable is an understatement.

Secondly, the tower spirit, Xutalian, is highly intelligent. Though a man-made object with no soul, thanks to Ana’s exhaustive efforts and hefty investments, its intelligence surpasses that of ordinary humans, yet it is merely high in intelligence without an actual soul or personality.

Thirdly, Xutalian is very powerful.

To what extent exactly...?

Simply put, it is at the Epic Peak of light, dark, space, and arcane school magics.

It should be noted that Xutalian’s owner and creator, Ana Ta Lasha, only possesses advanced stage strength on paper.

A mage with only high-level power created a tower spirit with skills at epic tier levels across four schools of magic, which seems like a mythical tale to ordinary people, even if this tower spirit can only operate within the mage tower.

Yet Ta Lasha achieved it, and effortlessly at that.

In her own words, compared to Xutalian’s power, she spent much more effort on shaping its appearance and personality.

It was only from that day that Double Leaf truly began to fathom how formidable her mentor really was.

Solitude makes one strong, this seemingly outlandish saying certainly isn’t without grounds.

As they say, ’with no woman in heart, wielding a sword becomes divine’, and Ana Ta Lasha, who always wanted a man but never had one (literally), apparently masters realms a notch above.

Especially after Double Leaf herself had been stuck at the epic tier bottleneck, she gradually realized that Ana being able to befriend someone as renowned as Diana and take the vice chair position within the Saramun Mage Guild steadily was no mere coincidence. And the oft-uttered phrase from Diana, ’Ana is stronger than me’, was certainly not an emotional compliment but a truthful declaration.

Double Leaf has ample reason to believe that her solitary queen mentor could easily step into the Epic Realm as naturally as breathing if she were willing.

But heavens know why, till this day, the person stays at the advanced stage level—something Double Leaf initially found quite impressive but now sees as merely mediocre, possibly even a bit lacking.

Well, back to the point.

In short, after witnessing Xutalian, who was not only handsome, graceful, genteel, and with various personalities including but not limited to tsundere, cunning, sister-complex, warm man, etc., truly a freak among freaks in the industry, Double Leaf considers her understanding of ’support spirits’ to be quite on point.

Additionally, Double Leaf has also interacted with Diana’s support spirit ’Little Star’ and Kenneth’s support spirit ’Trim.’

The former acts as Diana’s assistant in the field of astrology, a crystal ball with solid foundational knowledge and reliable work ethic yet cute and silly personality; the latter is the tower spirit of the Kishuya Spirit Summoning Tower, appearing as a maid with a metallic sheen, resembling Kenneth’s fiancée in appearance, work-efficient, heavily cunning, a sadist with serious tendencies, possessing strong comprehensive abilities, taciturn and deadly efficient.

Considering all the above, Double Leaf’s understanding of support spirits is quite thorough.

On the other hand, Motan’s understanding of this aspect is not lacking either. The reason is simple: though he has not met or interacted with the support spirits Double Leaf has seen or even flirted with, such as Xutalian, Little Star, and Trim, Diana had thoroughly explained the related knowledge to her interested lover then, so his understanding of them is definitely no less than Double Leaf’s.
