"Alright, stop washing aimlessly."
Cordova rolled his eyes, speaking with lingering fear: "Even Luwei, that old ’Undying’ who loves to treat others differently, couldn’t defend his beloved Little Pigeon in this regard. He’s mentioned to me more than once that while others focus on the color, aroma, and taste in cooking, Night Song aims for light and heavy doses, single-target harm, and group harm."
Motan nodded imperceptibly; he couldn’t deceive himself on this subject, even at this moment. The facts had been proven countless times. No matter how good Ji Xiaoge’s intentions were, her god-slaying and demon-extinguishing cooking skills definitely conflicted with this worldview. Not just that, even in the real world outside the game, they were weapons that ordinary people could never tolerate.
"Are you talking bad about me?"
Just then, Ji Xiaoge suddenly descended from the sky, landing directly in front of Motan. She puffed angrily, looking at her friends who were well aware of her true colors, and playfully flicked each, including Jadka, on the forehead: "Hmph hmph, there’s no need to ask; I already know what you’re talking about!"
Except for Ya Ya, who giggled after being flicked and lunged at Ji Xiaoge for a hug, the other three showed embarrassed smiles.
"Never mind, I’m happy today, not going to fuss with you!"
Ji Xiaoge planted a kiss on Ya Ya’s alcohol-flushed cheek and, assuming a mature posture, joyfully cheered: "Holiday starts, holiday starts! Finally, no more work!"
Even those usually less communicative like Guna and Gaster, the Great Craftsmen, and Liya Delin and Scarlett, who spent most of their time at the White Oath Knight Academy and weren’t particularly familiar with everyone, all smiled in unison.
Ji Xiaoge had the extraordinary ability to spread her happiness quickly and effortlessly paint smiles on everyone’s faces around her.
This had nothing to do with looks; it was purely an unreplicable personal charm. Just as the current persona of Motan could bring peace of mind at any time, wherever Ji Xiaoge was present, it was hard for the atmosphere to remain gloomy.
Except, of course, when she was cooking.
"I know you all have a good relationship, but now’s not the time for whispers!"
Scarlett stood up and waved energetically, calling to the crowd gathered on the other side of the table: "Come over here and squeeze in! We’re not that many, sitting so scattered is boring; drinking should be lively and fun when we’re together!"
It’s undeniable that this girl had quite the charisma and a massive tolerance for alcohol!
Motan, Ya Ya, Ji Xiaoge, and Liya Delin were drinking fruit wine from the Guest House.
Both Guna and Gaster, the Great Craftsmen, worried about accidentally blowing up the million-plus Gold Coins piled in the yard, were drinking plain water.
While Jadka, Scarlett, and Cordova were drinking a type of strong liquor, a specialty from the Caselo Prairie, rumored to be extremely potent, not inferior to the widely-known ArchFire Intense across the Continent. Ya Ya seemed to have been duped by Scarlett into licking it just once, which left her completely dazed.
In terms of alcohol tolerance, Cordova was just average. However, being not a conventional life form but a Rune Body crafted by Luwei, he didn’t have the trouble of getting drunk.
Scarlett and Jadka were simply capable drinkers, with the latter stating that the liquor was ’the taste of hometown,’ while Scarlett, in her words, said she usually drank it like a soda.
"As long as I don’t burp, it’s fine~"
Scarlett, incredibly petite and not at all resembling a Heavy Cavalier, chuckled, pretending to be embarrassed as she stuck out her tongue: "Burping makes the flavor too strong, unladylike."
Liya Delin, with slightly furrowed brows, stared at Scarlett’s rather low neckline and remarked sourly: "You still dare to call yourself a lady..."
"We’re all among friends, so why keep it restrained? Liya, you’re too rigid."
Scarlett chugged two sips of her liquor, exhaling like an old man, then flashed a smile at the newly seated Motan: "Silent Brother, you’re not drawn to Liya because she’s too rigid, right?"
Thud—
Motan’s temple produced a visibly throbbing vein.
[Hearts 7!]
He subtly clenched his fist, wishing to instantly switch personas and expel Scarlett from the organization; however, he restrained this impulse. The reason was simple: if he did switch, his Chaotic Neutral persona might laugh louder than anyone else.
Liya was still considerate enough to knock Scarlett down directly with a merciless elbow strike.
The tipsy Ya Ya laughed heartily beside her.
Seated next to Motan, Jadka and Ji Xiaoge happily chatted about the Spicy Burn Powder.
Cordova was across from them, chatting with the two masters from Craftsman Town. The content seemed quite professional, perhaps he was using his experiment reports to impress them, making the two look completely stunned.
A little while later, Wang Badan, who had been lounging in the yard, stealthily sneaked in. Upon being discovered, he received a warm welcome from Liya Delin and Scarlett, the two ladies. Before long, he began lazily enjoying being fed by them, occasionally shooting provocative glances at Motan and Ji Xiaoge.
