After putting all the clues together, the gang finally agreed that Henry might be a Lycan, but it wasn’t fully proven. They needed stronger evidence to confirm their theory. They sat in a tight huddle, their lungs expanding with quick, nervous breaths as they realized the sheer gravity of what they were dealing with. If they were wrong, they were just chasing a very strange, very strong guy. But if they were right, they were sitting on a gold mine of supernatural protection.

So they decided to put that aside and focus on their next move. They couldn’t spend the whole day debating a myth when they had a legally binding contract breathing down their necks.

Malo was back in the lead as the girls sat down to listen to his next target. He cracked his knuckles, trying to shake off the lingering fear of getting punched, and stepped back toward the center of the rubber mat.

"The Blue Spark Fish!" Malo announced like he was some kind of professor teaching a packed classroom. He threw his hands in the air, his chest rising with a dramatic breath as he tried to make the moment feel important. Even the pups who were playing had to pause and look toward the loud voice. Their little heads snapped around, plastic toys dangling from their hands as they stared at the shouting boy.

"Hey, quiet down. This isn’t some public place, and we can hear you," Faye said as Leonny crawled over to his mommy, wanting to breastfeed. She reached down and scooped the little boy off the floor, her heart settling into a steadier beat the moment his warm weight rested against her stomach.

The moment Faye started breastfeeding him, the room fell silent. Everyone’s eyes were on her. The heavy mechanical clicking of the ceiling fans suddenly felt incredibly loud as Malo, Sasha, and Haley all blinked, their gazes dropping entirely toward the mother and her baby.

"What is with the awkward stares, guys?" Faye asked. She looked up, her eyes narrowing as her attitude started to rise in an instant. Her chest flared with an annoyed breath, her arm tightening defensively around her son.

"Nothing. This is just the first time we’ve seen you breastfeed," Sasha said, still staring at Faye. She tilted her head, her posture completely frozen as she took in the domestic sight.

"Get your eyes off me now." Faye growled quietly.

"Yeah..." Malo muttered, his face turning a bright shade of red as he quickly whipped his head around to look at the weight racks.

"Sure." Haley stammered, coughing into her hand and shifting her boots uncomfortably on the rubber matting.

"As I was saying, we already know where this fish is. We are going to this place on Saturday, so everyone put that in your calendars. We’re going to Rosie Rose Hotel," Malo announced. He tapped his phone screen aggressively, trying to break the heavy tension that had just flooded the gym.

Haley raised her hand. She lifted her fingers slightly, her shoulders shifting under her jacket.

"It’s not time for questions yet, but what is it?" Malo sighed, his chest falling as he paused his presentation.

"I have plans on Saturday, so I can’t make it," Haley said. She let out a shallow breath, looking a bit apologetic but completely firm about her schedule.

"Alright then. The original three will do the fishing," Malo replied, nodding his head toward Sasha and Faye.

Then Sasha raised her hand. She gave a small, sheepish grin, her fingers waving in the air.

"Let me guess, you both have plans on Saturday?" Malo groaned, his shoulders slumping completely as his grand plan started to slide right off the rails.

"Yes. Haley’s sister is back in town, so she wants to take us on a double picnic date with her girlfriend. So we’re booked until Sunday," Sasha said. She leaned back against a leather bench, her chest rising with a relaxed, happy breath at the thought of the weekend.

"Haley, your sister is back?" Faye asked. She looked up from Leonny, her interest catching immediately as she ignored the slight pinch of the baby nursing.

"Yes. She’s on holiday, and she brought her girlfriend home for the first time." Haley smiled, her eyes lighting up as she talked about her family.

"Good. Can you ask her about her personal yearbook, the one you mentioned she has?" Faye asked. Her breathing turned tight for a second, a sudden wave of hope hitting her stomach.

"Okay. I’ll ask her when I get home." Haley promised, nodding her head.

"Okay, thank you." Faye said, her shoulders dropping a bit as she relaxed back into her chair.

"What yearbook?" Malo asked, looking back and forth between the girls like he had just missed a massive piece of the puzzle.

"Since there are no photos or evidence that I attended Oakland School years ago, Haley’s sister said she has a yearbook with me in it," Faye explained.

"You’ve met her sister?" Malo asked, his eyebrows knitting together.

"Yeah. We met during Haley’s sweet sixteen, and we almost smashed."

Faye blurted it out, and once again, the group fell silent. The words hung heavily in the air, making Haley’s jaw drop while Sasha froze completely in place. Malo’s mouth opened and closed like a literal fish.

"Okay, seriously, you guys need to stop with those looks. I said almost. We didn’t actually do it. And also, what stays in this group should stay in this group. Okay?" Faye snapped, her cheeks burning slightly as she glared at the three of them. She shifted Leonny to her other side, her breath coming out in sharp huffs.

"Yeah..." the three replied together. Their voices were completely flat, their eyes wide as they tried to process the random piece of information.

Malo shook his head, clearing his throat loudly to get them back on track. He tapped his phone again, his breathing settling down.

"Okay, since it’s just the two of us, Faye, we can do this. Saturday is the perfect day."

"Okay then. If I’m free, I’ll just have to make up an excuse for Princess about why I happen to be at a hotel because she tracks my every move, and the contract says no Alphas involved... which means I can’t tell my girlfriend anything," Faye said. She frowned, the weight of the secret feeling like a heavy stone behind her ribs.

She noticed Leonny had fallen asleep while still nursing. His little breaths were coming slow and steady, his tiny mouth letting go as his head rolled softly against her arm.

"Better not tell Princess. Lycans don’t like Alphas getting involved in their business. So after we find a way to acquire the Blue Spark Fish, we’ll use that fish to acquire the other fish from our previous dealer," Malo said. He lowered his voice into a tight whisper, his eyes darting toward the gym entrance as if the alpha might just materialize through the wall.

Everyone listened as Malo explained the plan, deciding on the date. They worked out the exact timing, mapping out the hotel layout and how they were going to get inside without causing a massive scene.

Then they heard Princess’s car pull up outside, so they called it a day.

The moment Princess entered the gym, Faye handed the sleeping boy to her before she started packing her things to leave.

While Leonny slept on his mama’s shoulder, Princess looked around the gym. Her eyes scanned the high ceiling, the heavy-duty racks, and the pristine rubber flooring. This was actually the first time she had paid attention to the expensive interior design and equipment. They had even hired a man to train people and take care of the place. But one thing stayed on her mind.

The place had cost a lot of money. A massive amount, way more than a group of regular normal teenagers should ever have access to.

"This place is amazing... and expensive, Faye," Princess said. Her voice was quiet so she wouldn’t wake the baby, but her gaze was sharp as she fixed her eyes on her girlfriend.

Faye smiled as she continued packing. She stuffed her boxing wraps into her duffel bag, her fingers working fast as her chest rose with a nervous breath.

"How did you guys come up with the money to set this place up?"

The four friends froze, trying to think of what to say.
