"Defeat You? Is that even possible?" Mirabella asked, staring at the man in profound shock. The sheer existential gap between them was not a mere ravine; it was an endless ocean.
"You are now a Divine Sovereign early stage. So I will reduce my strength to that level." He said smoothly.
Before Mirabella’s stunned gaze, the suffocating, god-like pressure radiating from his physical form suddenly contracted. The endless stellar void around them shuddered as his immeasurable aura deliberately folded inward, aggressively compressing until it flawlessly matched the exact vibrational frequency of an Early-Stage Divine Sovereign.
"Okay Mirabella." The Senior floated backward, his white robes dragging against the fabric of space, effortlessly creating distance from her. Once he reached exactly 50 meters away, he stopped, his posture entirely relaxed.
"Come at me with everything you got... The tenth round begins the moment you attack." He said, spreading his arms wide in an open, undeniable challenge.
’This? He is way stronger than me. Can I defeat such a person without the damage Multiplier?’ Mirabella thought, her heart hammering against her ribs. She exhaled a long, measured breath, grounding her chaotic mind.
’I won’t know if I don’t try... I am going all out then!!’
Mirabella flicked her left hand, manipulating her storage. The next moment, a terrifying, blood-red scythe appeared in her grasp. The moment its curved blade tasted the vacuum of the arena, a vile, rotting aura began to eat away at the ambient starlight.
"A god class weapon? One step to become a Supreme Class..." The Senior pointed a steady finger directly at the crimson blade.
"So that is the weapon which placed the curse on you." He said in surprised, his vast, ancient knowledge instantly recognizing the foul necrotic signature leaking from the metal.
"Actually, the Weapon didn’t place the curse, the Curse was placed on it... To make it acknowledge me as its knew master, I had to absorb the curse from it into my body." Mirabella corrected, gripping the long, bone-like shaft tightly.
"You? Then how is that a trap?" He asked, genuinely confused as to why a Divine Sovereign would willingly poison her own life force just to wield an artifact.
"Hehehe... Do you actually expect me to reveal all my trump cards from the very beginning?" She asked, a dark, completely unhinged devilish smirk appearing on her beautiful face.
"Senior... I might lose my sanity, just hope you don’t die." She warned, her voice dropping to a dangerous, hollow whisper.
"What is she talking about?" The Senior asked in confusion, only to suddenly freeze on his track. His wide, white eyes were staring directly at the thick, pitch-black death energy violently rising from the curved blade of the scythe.
"Impossible!! Don’t tell me that’s the Death Empress Scythe! Why did that fool let you carry it out from the first dungeon?!! Do you know how dangerous that Scythe is?!" He yelled at her, his usual calm demeanor completely shattering as cold sweat visibly rolled down his ancient face.
"You called this a God class artifact, but once it tastes the blood of its Master, it becomes a Supreme Class artifact! I don’t believe with two Supreme Class artifacts, I won’t be able to defeat you!" Mirabella declared, her eyes burning with a terrifying, absolute resolve.
"Are you mad!!"
"Yes! I think I am mad." Mirabella retorted with a twisted, adrenaline-fueled grin, and without a single microsecond of hesitation, she deliberately cut her own palm. Her pure blood heavily fell onto the scythe’s thirsty, blood-red blade.
"If you do this, you will lose 90% of your sanity!! You will be driven only by bloodlust!" The Senior warned desperately, stepping forward to stop the suicidal ritual.
"I know... You see, I don’t have the courage to defeat you. So I had to take this part... I can’t lose this round." Mirabella said, her voice shaking slightly.
Suddenly, jagged, black strange languages appeared glowing on the scythe’s blade, squirming like living parasites. The ancient runes then rapidly moved downward towards its handle, surged directly into her open, bleeding palm, and aggressively entered her body.
WHOOSH!!
The strange, demonic words violently moved towards her skull, weaving together to form a terrifying, dark mask which instantly enclosed all her face, leaving only her glowing, blood-red eyes visible.
"I don’t have anything to worry about, we are the only ones here, so I won’t hurt my people!" She added, her logic completely overriding her fear of corruption, as her voice instantly turned into a chilling, multi-layered demonic resonance.
"Let’s fight!!"
BOOOOM!!!
She shot forward with explosive, unimaginable speed, her feet literally cracking the fabric of space behind her. In less than a blink, she arrived directly in front of the Senior, swinging the heavy, cursed scythe right at his head.
"Children nowadays, always in a rush." The Senior sighed. Relaying on absolute martial mastery rather than raw speed, he moved one hand in a flawless arc, lightly slapping the flat side of the scythe’s blade to effortlessly parry it to the side, and simultaneously threw his open palm forward.
BOOOOM!!
The palm strike smashed right into Mirabella’s chest with the force of a collapsing planet, but to his absolute shock, there was not a single bit of physical damage. The necrotic energy completely nullified the force; it was like he smashed into a weightless feather.
"Hehehe... You are underestimating the death scythe." The demonic voice echoed from behind the mask.
"...?!"
BOOOOM!!
A massive, terrifying wave of dark energy violently burst out from her figure, smashing right into the senior at point-blank range, instantly sending his physical form flying backward through the stars.
"Young lady!! If you continue, the Curse in your body will flare up!! Is this Gemstone more important than your own life?! Besides, there are other ways to get rid of that curse in you." He muttered, perfectly stabilizing himself mid-air, while still standing completely upright, entirely uninjured despite the knockback.
"AHH! I will kill you!!" Mirabella yelled, all rational thought vanishing into pure, unadulterated bloodlust. She shot forward like a rabid beast, frantically swinging Sunder and the cursed Death Empress Scythe. With every single violent swing, she sent out massive crescent blades composed of pure necrosis, strong enough to instantly destroy space itself.
But despite their terrifying destructive power, they were all easily, almost casually shattered by the Senior with his bare hands as he deflected the incoming barrage.
"...?!"
He blinked, suddenly staring down at the dark, corrosive smoke sticking tenaciously all over his physical body.
"So every attack from the Death scythe has corrupted energy. Once it makes contact with the target, it transfers the corrupted energy... So any attack from that Supreme Class artifact must always be avoided, you shouldn’t even think about defending against it." He deduced calmly, analyzing the curse attempting to eat his flesh. He sighed softly, shaking his head at the tragedy of her desperate strategy.
"But little one, do you think using borrowed powers will make you defeat me?"
A pure, blinding wave of absolute energy instantly burst out from his divine body, completely destroying and purifying all the corrupted energy clinging around him. He didn’t waste another second. He moved, instantly shattering the speed of light, appearing directly before Mirabella’s masked face; and struck out a simple, unadorned punch.
BAM!!!
The fist bypassed all her defenses and smashed right into her chest. The impact carried the absolute authority of the cosmos, instantly shattering all the dense death energy layered on her, completely erasing the necrotic aura, and clearing everything back to zero.
"This?" Mirabella was completely dumbfounded as the dark mask dissolved, leaving her entirely exposed before a true god.
