Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed

Chapter 433: Sanctuary: Obtaining The Third Gemstone

"My Queen!"

The two elite guards stationed deep inside the cavernous, gem-lit tunnel greeted, respectfully bowing their heads. Even in the dim, bioluminescent glow, the tension radiating from the Mermaid Queen was palpable.

"Red alert! Go to the General and show him this." Seraphina’s voice lost all traces of the warm, doting aunt from the garden, instantly replaced by the ruthless, absolute authority of a monarch facing a siege. She snapped her fingers, and a heavy silver token materialized before her, clearly the royal token.

"Tell him, Red Alert, every single warrior should get ready to defend the city! Go now!"

"Yes, My Queen!!"

The two guards quickly nodded their heads, hearing the absolute, chilling urgency in the Queen’s tone. They understood that a Red Alert meant the survival of their entire species was on the line. They carefully took the token, their hands trembling slightly, and swam away, moving with incredible, desperate speed back toward the Silver City.

Mirabella looked over her shoulder at them, already back in her impenetrable black God-class armor. She had watched the swift shift in her aunt and realized that reaching the peak of power always carried a catastrophic toll.

"Why the deployment?" She asked, turning to Seraphina, who placed her pale palm flat against the massive, ancient stone door blocking their path. The stone was etched with celestial wards that predated modern humanity.

BOOOOM!

The colossal door vibrated violently, the sound echoing heavily through the water, and slowly moved aside, revealing a pitch-dark, foreboding passage that seemed to swallow the ambient light.

"My dear, once you get the gemstone, I will help you merged the three together, and absorb it. But that will draw every single monster towards the city, the Evil one will do anything in his powers to stop you from becoming the Death Goddess."

"Huh? Becoming a Goddess? Won’t I destroy the whole planet with such energy?" Mirabella asked, immediately calculating the collateral damage. A Divine Sovereign was already a walking calamity; condensing absolute conceptual laws into a mortal vessel should logically shatter Earth’s fragile stability.

"Nope, this chamber absorbs all energy... So it won’t affect the planet." Seraphina explained, seamlessly swimming inside the dark abyss, with Mirabella silently following behind, her armor’s thrusters guiding her through the unnatural currents.

[Two Hours Later.]

[30,000 meters deep underwater.]

’30,000 meters, no human have ever gotten this deep before. Is it even possible to be this deep without feeling any pressure?’ Mirabella thought, as she moved her gaze around the huge chamber.

The Mariana Trench, Earth’s deepest known point, was barely a third of this depth. Mirabella deduced they were no longer strictly on Earth, but in a localized, spatial pocket dimension anchored beneath the Vatican—a divine stronghold isolated from the laws of physics.

The chamber was perfectly circular, built from an indestructible, pale stone, with towering, monolithic pillars at the end, circling them like silent sentinels. At the center was an ancient, pristine altar, standing two meters above the perfectly smooth ground.

Seraphina raised a hand, stopping Mirabella on her track, right on the edge of the invisible boundary line encircling the altar. Mirabella watched intently as the proud Queen moved forward, lowered her head in absolute submission, and dropped on one knee:

"Supreme guardian, we are here to ask for a favor." She said, her voice echoing into the vast emptiness.

Mirabella stood perfectly still, her combat instincts dialed to their absolute maximum, moving her gaze around the quiet hall: ’Guardian, this person must be the one guarding the gemstone.’

TAP!

Mirabella froze, as a hand lightly rested on her heavily armored shoulder.

She blinked, every alarm in her head screaming in absolute, silent panic, and slowly turned her head to the hand. There, standing effortlessly beside her, was a beautiful lady in a traditional, immaculate black and white nun outfit, a small, serene smile on her face. Mirabella blinked, staring deeply at the lady’s piercing, blood-red eyes:

’This??!! I am a Divine sovereign, but I couldn’t even sense this lady’s presence. It’s like she is one with the world.’ Mirabella’s mind raced. To bypass her God-class armor’s sensors and her own perception required a level of stealth that defied logic. This wasn’t merely stealth; this entity was woven into the very fabric of reality itself.

Feeling something was profoundly off, Seraphina turned around, and was completely stunned to see the entity standing behind her god-daughter.

"Supreme guardian." She called, a bit stunned, her voice wavering under the sheer atmospheric pressure the Nun passively exuded.

’So this lady is the supreme guardian!’ Mirabella swallowed softly, recognizing that any hostile action here would result in instant, unrecordable erasure.

"Don’t be scared child, I don’t bite." The Nun moved her face closer to Mirabella, and with a mere, casual thought, all of Mirabella’s indestructible God-class armor vanished entirely, forcefully unequipped and sent back to her inventory, leaving her standing vulnerable in her casual wears.

"You?" Mirabella was stunned speechless. They were 30,000 meters deep inside corrupted water, but she could actually breathe perfectly, the water around her acting exactly like breathable air. The Nun had rewritten the environmental laws around them without a single gesture.

"Now." The Nun moved closer again, closing her eyes as she delicately inhaled her scent:

"It seems those two old men already met you." She said, referring to the ancient guardians of the previous stones, and floated pass Mirabella with a ghostly, frictionless grace, moving towards the elevated altar.

"So you’re here for the final gemstone?" She asked, casually sitting on the cold stone stairway of the altar, and elegantly crossed her smooth long legs together, looking entirely out of place yet completely in control.

"Yes." Mirabella nodded her head, reigning in her shock and defaulting to her stoic, sovereign demeanor.

The Nun nodded, and turned her crimson gaze to Seraphina: "Why are you still kneeling, Dear? Please, get up."

"I obey, Supreme guardian." Seraphina said respectfully, and got to her feet, though she kept her head slightly bowed.

Mirabella stared at the two, the frown on her face deepening as she measured the scaling of the universe’s true elites:

’The pressure I am getting from this lady, it’s a lot stronger than the second guardian, just as the second guardian is stronger than the first...’ She exhaled a deep breath, realizing the terrifying slope of true Godhood:

’If the second was that powerful, how powerful is the lady in front of me?’

The Guardian turned to Mirabella, completely unfazed by the internal calculations of the young Sovereign, then simply snapped her fingers. The next moment, a beautiful, pulsating golden gemstone appeared, humming with the ultimate authority over mortality, hovering effortlessly in the air:

"As the recognized Heaven Child, this here is yours." She said, as the gemstone flew smoothly towards the stunned Mirabella, and landed gently in her palm. The cold, absolute weight of death settled into her skin.

"Now, try and merge the three together, right here." She instructed, her tone shifting from playful to commanding.

Mirabella held the golden gemstone in her hand, staring at it in deep disbelief, and profound shock; after lifetimes of brutal battles, bloody massacres, and fighting for every single scrap of EXP, isn’t this too easy?

"Why the face? Do you want a test or something?" The Guardian asked with a small, knowing smile, closing her eyes as if reading Mirabella’s trauma-scarred thoughts like an open book.

"Eh?! No, I will start now!" Mirabella quickly nodded her head, aggressively shaking off her hesitation. With a practiced flick of her wrist, she tapped into her spatial inventory. The violently glowing red and pitch-black gemstones appeared instantly, hovering in perfect orbital sync before her.

"Now, try and merge the three gemstones... Let the universe welcome the very first Death Goddess."
