Gathering Husbands with a System in a Game Like World [BL]
Chapter 71: The ThreesomeElias tilted his head, eyes narrowing with interest.
"You’re thinking hard enough to short-circuit. Spit it out sugar."
Kai hesitated, then decided the indirect approach was already failing.
"The two of you are making this table feel like a battlefield. It’s exhausting."
Lucien’s ears colored slightly. Elias didn’t look the least bit apologetic.
"He’s the one who started it, i just indulged him" Elias said.
"Not true, Doofus" Lucien said.
"Exactly Elias you don’t get to blame it on him when you know that you have a hand too" kai blurted out in support of Elias because he had indeed acted on the tension before Lucien followed suit.
Silence stretched and Elias frowned and suddenly stood up, startling Kai.
"Fine! If you want to take sides then i would leave you two to it"
Lucien laughed loudly
"Fine by me" but Kai panicked, he didn’t intentionally take Lucien’s side.
"No, wait Elias wait can you sit down?!"
Lucien stared "let the fool go, he is just destroying someone’s day" but Kai didn’t register Lucien’s remarks he just wanted Elias to stay back.
After several minutes of beckoning, Elias sat back down with a smile on his face and a frown on Lucien’s and Kai went on clueless that he had just been used as a marker in thier game, it took Lucien everything in him not to act up too.
Kai exhaled.
"There are better ways to settle this than glowering at each other over pastries."
Elias’s mouth curved.
"I’m listening."
Lucien remained quieter, but his attention was fixed on Kai now.
Kai felt the System’s third pathway sitting heavily in the back of his mind. He also felt the tension that had been building since the Guild hall, the way both men had looked at him, the way neither seemed willing to yield ground.
He set his cup down.
"You could fight. Or take a job together. Or..." He met both of their eyes in turn. "You could stop pretending this is only about the investigation."
Elias’s smile turned sharp and interested.
Lucien’s breath caught almost silently.
"Or," Kai continued, voice lower, "you could both stop competing for a minute and share."
The air at the table changed.
Elias leaned forward.
Share."
"Yes."
Lucien’s voice was quieter.
"You’re serious."
Kai held his gaze.
"I’m tired of the undercurrent. And I think it would settle things faster than another hour of this."
Elias laughed under his breath, dark and pleased.
"Look at you. Making suggestions like that with a straight face."
Lucien studied Kai for a long moment, then glanced at Elias. Something unspoken passed between the two men. Rivalry didn’t disappear. It simply shifted into a different shape.
"If we do this," Lucien said carefully, "it’s not a contest of who gets to keep you."
Elias’s eyes gleamed.
"Speak for yourself. I fully intend to prove I fuck him better."
Lucien’s expression didn’t change, but his voice dropped.
"You’re welcome to try."
Kai’s face burned, they had caught on without him saying much. The System chimed again, almost helpful.
[Host consent registered. Temporary pain modulation and recovery assistance available upon request.]
[Both Candidates exhibit strong top-leaning behavioral patterns. Host will be primary receiving party.]
They left the pastry house without finishing their drinks.
Back in the presidential suite the atmosphere was thick enough to taste. Elias was already shrugging out of his coat. Lucien moved with quieter precision, setting his satchel down and watching Kai with an intensity that felt different from Elias’s hunger but no less focused.
What followed was not gentle.
It was competitive from the first kiss. Elias claimed Kai’s mouth with the same filthy confidence he always did, while Lucien’s hands mapped his body with deliberate, practiced care. When clothing hit the floor the differences became obvious. Lucien was thicker, longer, the weight of him making Kai’s breath stutter when he finally saw it. Elias noticed. Of course he did.
"Show-off," Elias muttered.
Lucien’s mouth curved faintly.
"I’m simply proportional."
They argued, briefly and sharply, about positions. Elias wanted control. Lucien refused to yield it. At one point Elias suggested taking both of them in sequence. Lucien countered that Elias was welcome to watch. The tension spiked again until Kai, already flushed and hard between them, spoke up.
"Or you could both eat my ass and stop arguing."
The suggestion landed. They looked at each other, then at him, and something like agreement passed between them.
What happened next blurred into heat and pressure and the constant awareness of two very different men focused entirely on him. Lucien’s mouth was thorough and devastatingly skilled. Elias was messier, more aggressive, and vocal about every reaction he pulled from Kai. When they finally took him it was with the System’s quiet assistance dulling the edge of the stretch just enough to keep it from tipping into real pain.
They did treat it like a competition. Elias talked through almost every thrust, filthy and proprietary. Lucien was quieter but more precise, finding angles that made Kai’s vision white out and holding him there. At one point they switched. At another they worked him together until he could only cling to the sheets and try to remember how to breathe.
The end came in stages. Kai first, shaking and oversensitive. Elias next, with a low curse against his shoulder. Lucien last. And when Lucien finally pulled out and finished, it was across Elias’s face in a deliberate, messy claim that left the assassin blinking in surprise and then laughing, low and dark.
"You absolute bastard."
Lucien only looked mildly satisfied.
"You were in the way."
Kai lay between them afterward, thoroughly used and still catching his breath, while the System quietly logged the affinity changes in the background.
[Candidate 002 affinity: significant increase.]
[Candidate 004 affinity: significant increase.]
[Tension markers reduced. Bond stability improved.]
Outside the suite the green city of Veyrhold continued its evening. Inside, the rivalry between the assassin and the alchemist had only changed shape.
And Kai, caught in the middle of it, was no longer sure whether that made things better or significantly more complicated.
