Gordon chuckled and nodded before saying, “I will; it does my heart good to know that our saviour is one who does not think only of himself. Though now I believe it is time for you to leave our little village and move on to Waning City. Have you wrapped up all your affairs in our village?"
"I have, Mayor," John replied.
"Very good, then I will send you on your way," Gordon said before he moved back slightly and raised his hands as a teleportation magic circle appeared beneath John, at which point Gordon began to speak. "Send this soul on their way to begin his adventure in Waning City.”
As Gordon finished speaking, the magic circle lit up and John vanished.

As John opened his eyes, he found himself inside a large cathedral hall where people occasionally appeared out of midair before walking outside, so John decided to follow them, and as he did so, he found himself looking at a city that looked very similar to Eclipse City in the real world.
The basic layout of the city was the same, with a river running through the centre of the city and the palace situated on a hill next to a large waterfall. The difference, however, lay in the construction and level of technology, since Genesis was set in a medieval-type era and not in the modern technological world.
John turned around to look at the building he had just left and saw that he was indeed correct in thinking that it was a cathedral with the words 'Teleportation Hall' engraved upon it.
John had promised to message Sarah once he reached Waning City, and so opened his friends list only to find that she was not online. Sighing, he sent her a quick message before heading off to explore.
[Vincarna: I just arrived in Waning City.]
As he went around the city, John visited a few shops to see if he could possibly upgrade any of his current gear since he was still wearing the starter shirt. Eventually, he came across a rundown-looking shop that only seemed to cater for the new players, as those wearing more impressive-looking gear just ignored it as they passed.
As he entered the shop that reminded him of the second-hand clothes shops he used to get his own clothes from back in Dawnscape City, an old man who sat behind the counter reading a paper welcomed him without bothering to look up, “Welcome, take your time looking around and bring anything you want to buy to the counter.”
After browsing the shop for a few minutes, he finally found some level five gear that he could afford.

John took the items over to the counter, and after glancing up from his paper, the old man said, “Nine silver.”
John deposited the silver coins on the counter before equipping the gear, after which he asked, “Do you have any weapons?”
“Box in the corner,” The old man said without looking up.
John quickly found the box and started rummaging through it; unfortunately, most of the weapons were either blunt, chipped or downright broken; however, he did eventually find an old-looking staff that seemed usable.
[Apprentice Staff]
[Rank: Uncommon (Green)]
[Staff]
[ATP: 20]
[INT: 1]
[Requires Level: 5]
[Cost: 5 silver]
“Five silver for a stick,” John cursed, causing the old man to say, “If you don’t want it, put it back; no one's making you buy it.”
John ground his teeth while heading back towards the counter, where he placed the silver on top of it while he equipped the staff before asking, “Do you buy?”
The old man glanced up at him and, for the first time, showed interest before saying, “Fifty copper for the sword, nothing for the shirt; it’s better off as a rag. That cloak, however, is interesting. “I’ll give you fifty gold for it.”
“Fifty?” John asked in surprise before shaking his head and saying. “Sorry, no deal.”
“Alright, kid, you know how to bargain. Sixty gold.”
“No sale,” John refused again before adding. “I wouldn’t even sell it if I could.”
“Hmm,” The old man replied before placing fifty copper down on the counter while taking the greatsword and placing it down behind the counter. Only after he had done that did he come back up and say, “Seems you understand the true value of it.”
“Not really,” John replied. “But I know it’s special.”
The old man glanced at John again before nodding and saying, “Special is an understatement; that cloak shouldn’t even exist in the lands of the living.”
John raised an eyebrow in surprise while asking, “You mean it’s from the underworld?”
“You know about the underworld, kid?” The old man asked in surprise as he inspected John more closely. Only then did he seem to notice something and waved his hand, causing the Sheolarbiter badge to appear from within John and hover before him.
“Now, where did you get that?” The man asked curiously.
“You know what that is?” John asked in surprise before excitedly asking, “Do you happen to know where Elrinira is?”
“Elrinira?” The man repeated in surprise. “Why would you possibly want to find her?”
“I have a quest to find her from the other kings of the underworld; apparently, she’s gone missing.”
“Hmm, I do remember hearing some rumour about that, but I just dismissed it as tavern talk,” The old man replied before seriously warning. “Listen well, kid; stay away from that woman. All Succubi are troublesome, and that one is especially so, with her being their queen.”
“Is this that whole thing about them draining men's energy through sex thing?” John scoffed.
“Not energy, and not just men, but people's mana,” The old man replied. “Succubi extend their life force by draining the mana of other individuals, and if they so desire to and you're not strong enough to stop them, the process can kill you.”
John gulped slightly in response, earning a nod of appreciation from the old man as he added, “And Elrinira being a god means that only gods can prevent her from killing her target if she so wishes to.”
There was a tense atmosphere in the air for a few moments before the man smirked and said, “Of course the opposite is also true; if Elrinira favours you, then she can reward you with a night of pleasure no other being can match, not even the other gods…. Well, save the other love gods perhaps.”
“Why do I get the feeling you're speaking from first-hand knowledge?” John asked suspiciously.
“Who knows, must be your imagination; I’m merely the owner of a rundown shop after all.”
“Uh huh,” John replied. {Merely a shop owner who knows what a Sheolarbiter is and seems to have firsthand knowledge of Succubi.}
The old man continued to study John before asking, “So am I to believe you’ve been to the underworld, kid?”
“I have,” John nodded, causing the old man to whistle as he sat back in his chair. “You somehow went to the underworld, which is supposed to be sealed off, possess a Sheolarbiter badge and apparently even received a quest from the kings of the underworld while returning to the world of the living without being made a Sheolarbiter.”
“Is there a question in there?” John asked.
“Too many questions, kid, too many,” The old man said with a smile before waving his hand again, causing the Sheolarbiter badge to return inside John, after which he said. “Tell you what, kid, as a fellow servant of the underworld, how about we help each other out?”
