Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System
Chapter 336: The Eggs and Lumber"Swiftlet?" Maris repeated as she heard the name of the bird.
"Yes... It’s a mutated one, so it has some enhanced effects like that Golden Bull from before." Mila explained.
"Previously, it was used to make a soup prized for its richness and healing properties. It’s said to strengthen the body, restore vitality, and even help with recovery from illness. Now... It’s not just a rumor. It really has the effect already."
The others murmured in awe as soon as they heard this.
Mila smiled faintly.
"We’ll need eggs to balance the flavor. Good thing you brought plenty today."
She set to work immediately.
A pot was filled with purified water, and the strands of the nest were soaked until they softened.
Eggs were cracked and whisked, then poured slowly into the simmering broth.
Soon, the mixture thickened, turning into a golden soup with delicate threads floating inside.
"Whoa~"
"This smell is amazing."
"That’s true."
The aroma spread quickly through the kitchen.
Survivors nearby lifted their heads as they were curious about the smell coming from their place...
Food had always been simple.
There were canned goods, noodles, dried meat, and they would just add some herbs and other greens from time to time...
Then, recently, boiled eggs were added once a day.
After that, they were able to obtain some flour, and they were able to have a steady supply of bread...
This time, however, what they were about to have was something rare, something that was considered a luxury from a world long gone.
Maris watched as Mila stirred carefully...
"This will be shared tonight," Mila said firmly. "Everyone has worked hard. They deserve something special."
By evening, the soup was served in clay bowls. Survivors gathered eagerly, and their faces lit up as they tasted it.
The flavor was delicate yet rich, the eggs blending smoothly with the softened strands of the nest.
It was absolutely incredible...
Randel grinned after his first sip.
"This... this is incredible. It feels like my whole body’s warming up."
Emiru nodded. "It’s like medicine and food at the same time. Maybe we can check the Status Crystal later. I think that it had some mystical effects, but we can’t see it."
"T-that’s true. Only the Foreign Survivors could immediately check their stats. I wonder if they’re getting notifications about it."
"I’m sure they do... I heard Sir Victor and Sir Wallace talk about it."
"Well, since we’re only working inside the shelter, it doesn’t really matter. I guess those who were hunting outside the shelter would really need such buffs."
Maris said as she smiled softly, watching her friends enjoy the rare dish.
She herself felt a gentle warmth spreading through her chest, her fatigue easing. She knew that the effect was legit...
Still, she couldn’t help but wonder what kind of Clan that Eclipse Revenant was.
After all, she heard from Vera and the others that the Chickens came from a man called Harper.
Perhaps, they also have other poultry animals or maybe even farm animals...

Meanwhile, outside, the rumble of wheels echoed across the dirt road leading into Codebreakers Shelter.
A massive cart, made with scavenged steel and bound with thick ropes, creaked under the weight of freshly cut lumber.
At the front was Joe, one of the Superhuman Guild’s trusted members.
His four arms gripped the reins and pushed the cart forward with steady strength.
Despite his mutations, Joe’s mind remained intact. He was still sharp, calculating, and disciplined.
Grimm, the guild leader, had chosen him precisely for this reason. Unlike many of their kind who had succumbed to madness or instinct, Joe was still intelligent enough to handle trade.
Behind him, four other mutated humans followed, their bodies twisted in different ways, with elongated limbs, hardened skin, or extra eyes... but all of them were disciplined enough to serve. Together, they dragged the cart into view, the lumber stacked high and neatly arranged.
Joe raised his voice as they reached the gates.
"Delivery from the Superhuman Guild! High‑quality timber... Ironbark Lumber, freshly cut from the forest!"
The guards atop the watchtowers shifted, rifles glinting in the fading light.
After a moment, the gates opened, and Joe and his companions were allowed to enter.
Inside, the Codebreakers Shelter revealed itself in full...
Joe’s eyes scanned the surroundings.
"Amazing..."
The walls were sturdy, reinforced with steel and timber.
Watchtowers were also present, each manned by defenders armed with rifles or even grenade launchers.
There weren’t any crude bows at all.
Still, field tents dotted the grounds...
There weren’t many children, but the people here looked clean, organized, and well‑fed.
More noticeable was the equipment.
Every defender carried weapons and wore decent gear... armor plates, reinforced clothing, and utility belts. This was no ragtag camp.
There were even motorbikes and some other advanced equipment around.
"This place is thriving..."
Joe’s gaze sharpened further.
At first, he thought the shelter was simply well‑staffed. But as he focused on some of the "men" standing near the perimeter, he noticed something odd.
Their faces were too smooth, their movements were too precise.
"Ahhhh..." He was shocked.
Apparently, beneath the human clothes, faint seams in the exposed "skin" revealed the truth.
Sentinels! They were humanoid robots.
Joe’s lips curled slightly.
’So they’re hiding machines among their ranks... Incredible...’
He could only admire it all. Soon, the cart was pulled into the central yard, where Althea soon arrived.
She carried herself with calm authority, her presence commanding respect.
"Good work," she said, inspecting the lumber. Her hands brushed against the timber, testing its quality.
"Ironbark Lumber... strong, durable. This will serve well for construction."
She gestured, and crates were brought forward.
Inside were canned goods... sardines, meatloaf, and other preserved supplies.
"As agreed," Althea said. "Food in exchange for lumber."
Joe nodded, his four arms moving efficiently as he and his companions loaded the crates onto the cart.
The trade was fair, and the quality of the goods was nothing to question about.
As they prepared to leave, Althea paused.
"You’ve traveled far," she said.
"Rest here for a while. Have a meal before you return. It’s free. We’re not cruel to our partners, especially when the lumber you provide is this valuable."
Joe blinked in surprise...
Hospitality was not something he expected. The Superhuman Guild had started this relationship with conflict, after all.
Yet here, in the Codebreakers Shelter, there was a sense of generosity.
He glanced at his companions.
Their eyes showed their hunger... Despite calling themselves superhuman, their bodies were still weary from the thirty‑kilometer trek...
Finally, Joe nodded his head...
"We’ll accept. Thank you."
