Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System
Chapter 343: The Return and the TradeKai was a bit disappointed that he had to leave the fortress earlier than he had expected.
After all, Chamber mentioned 10 areas where he could loot some decent items.
They were the Neural Trap Storage, Explosive Depot, Prototype Weapon Lab, Energy Core Vault, Gene Skill Crystal Vault, Adaptive Construct Workshop, Medical Bay for Captured Humans, Data Archive, and the Experimental Node...
’I hope I can just go back here...’ Kai muttered to himself as he moved faster.
Then, as he continued to carry the crate of Plasma Cells through the fortress corridors, several survivors from the Cancer Faction and even a few from Taurus noticed him.
Their eyes lit up, and soon voices called out while also moving out...
"Hey, Kai! Trade with us... Look, I’ve got stimulants!" A man from the Cancer Faction said as he waved a bundle of alloy scraps.
"These are special iron plates, rare stuff. Let’s swap!" Someone else shouted,
"I’ll give you these swords, straight from the depot!"
Kai glanced at their offers. Some of the items were genuinely interesting... combat stimulants, special alloys, even weapon components... but he shook his head firmly.
"Not now. Keep your loot. I’ll manage."
The others groaned in frustration but didn’t press further. Everyone was too focused on escaping.
Once outside the fortress, Kai spotted Trent and the Blue Sword Squad waiting near the motorbikes.
The squad had regrouped, and looking at it, he realized that they also obtained a lot of items...
Their faces even looked tense but determined. They were all just waiting for him nervously!
’I guess they can’t wait to leave this place...’
Trent then gave a sharp nod when he saw Kai.
"Good, you made it. Mount up!" Trent said over the loud rumble of engines.
Then, he looked behind them, confirming what Kai already sensed... a swarm of A.I. drones was closing in fast.
Kai swung onto his bike, the crate of Plasma Cells strapped securely.
"Let’s go!" Trent shouted, and the squad accelerated as one.
The convoy quickly passed across the plains, leaving behind some dust...
Still, the drones pursued for a time, but once the group neared the vicinity of Cameron City, the machines slowed.
The A.I. Army didn’t dare breach the city’s perimeter. Its defenses and factions made it too costly a target...
Relief washed over the squad as they passed through the gates.
Thankfully, during this time, there was no sabotage or any ambush...
"Let’s meet up again, Kai." Trent said with a smile before taking off.

Meanwhile, Kai then wasted no time.
As he broke away from the group, he headed straight for his shop.
Inside, he found Farrah admiring the brooch she had received from Hale Libra...
After hearing the bell rang, she finally looked up and was startled when she saw Kai carrying the crate.
"You’re back... and that’s... Plasma Cells?" Her eyes widened as she immediately recognized it.
"You got them?!"
Kai set the crate down with a faint smile. "Yeah. Managed to pull them out before the reinforcements arrived."
Farrah’s excitement was obvious... Plasma Cells were rare enough to make her forget the brooch in her hands. Kai simply leaned against the counter, already planning how to keep his true treasures hidden while letting the cells speak for themselves.
For the Neural Traps and others, he planned to have them all used to his Guild’s Shelter...
After all, he knew that improving his Shelter would allow his Guild to accept more missions and perhaps, receive more System Rewards if his Guild maintained its rankings.

After letting Farrah inspect the Plasma Cells on her own and greeting the two kids, Kai closed the door to his small room at the back of the shop...
The faint scent of dust and old wood lingers in the air.
The space, which doubled as storage, was cluttered with crates and scattered tools, but tonight it was just him and Chamber.
"Chamber... I need to know. Can I return to Citadel‑09 unnoticed? I didn’t finish exploring. There are still several more areas I haven’t touched."
The A.I. assistant’s voice resonated softly in his mind.
[ Reentry is possible, but only with precise planning. To calculate the safest infiltration route, I need more information about you... your current capabilities, items, and genetic enhancements. Without that, I cannot guarantee success. ]
Kai nodded. "Alright. You want to know me? Then I’ll show you."
Kai then decided to inform Chamber of some of his Gift Pack items, but not mentioning his Talent at all.
Still, Kai discussed his Gene Weapons a little. The Strength Gauntlet, War Lance, and his dagger, Specter Edge.
Chamber processed the information instantly.
[ Acknowledged. Your arsenal is versatile... With your consumables, you can easily survive long days of hiding and even if you meet D-Grade and C-Grade Units, you should be able to survive. Now, tell me about your Gene Skills."
Kai hesitated, then opened his status window.
[ Active Skills: Fast Appraisal Lv5, Spirit Dominion Lv2, Titan Step Lv1, Meditation Lv1, High Jump Lv1 ]
[ Passive Skills: Bio‑Adaptive Constitution Lv9, Great Protection Lv3, Slayer’s Flow Lv1, Solid Balance Lv1, Blood Regeneration Lv1 ]
Then, Kai passed the information to Chamber.
[ Excellent. With these skills and items, your survivability is higher than average. Combined with the Dragoon for mobility, you can bypass patrols and reenter Citadel‑09. The fortress is down, but even if its electricity got reactivated, I can help you become invisible from their cameras. Your concealment skill will also help mask you from most scanners. ]
Kai smiled as he heard this...
"So you’re saying it’s possible?"
[ Confirmed. ]
Chamber replied.
[ You can reenter the fortress. However, timing is critical. The A.I. Army will redeploy units to secure the site within forty‑eight hours. If you move before then, unnoticed infiltration is achievable. ]
Kai exhaled as he realized what he must do.
"Good. Then we’ll plan it. I’m not leaving those other areas untouched."
The room fell silent again, but Kai’s mind was already considering his options...
Still, he looked at the table beside him and saw the item he had left before going to the Citadel.
It was the Neural Gear!
’For now... I should check the Perfect World to find a better way to earn 20,000 credits. No... Wait. The Plasma Cells... Maybe I can trade it for some game credits?’
