Traceless immediately chased after the retreating rogues, his figure quickly moving across the rocky terrain.

The scarred leader glanced back and was visibly surprised to see that someone was actually pursuing them.

’Aren’t you supposed to protect your goods?!’

Indeed, he had assumed that the adventurer would remain with the caravan and help protect the merchants, but this one particular person seemed to have a completely different objective in mind.

He quickly chased after another rogue.

"You actually chased after them."

"They were running away, so I thought it would be a waste to let them escape."

He then looked toward the hills where the rogue leader had escaped.

"Unfortunately, their leader managed to get away."

"That’s fine."

Traceless was also not too disappointed.

He had already gained a considerable amount of Experience Points, and there was no guarantee that the scarred man would have given him a good reward anyway.

The guards soon finished collecting the items.

There were several weapons, some low-grade armor, and a few healing potions among the loot. The caravan had also managed to protect most of its cargo, so the attack had not caused any significant losses.

Julius looked at Traceless with a complicated expression.

"If you hadn’t rushed forward earlier, I’m afraid we would have suffered a lot more casualties."

Traceless simply waved his hand.

"We were all part of the same mission. I just did what I was supposed to do."

Although he said this, Traceless was secretly quite satisfied.

This caravan mission was becoming much more interesting than he had initially expected.

He had gained a considerable amount of Experience Points during the two battles, and although he hadn’t leveled up yet, he was already very close.

His Spirit Points or Energy had also recovered significantly.

Traceless had initially been worried that using Titan Step repeatedly would force him to rely too much on Energy Recovery Potions. However, as long as he had enough time to rest between battles, his Spirit Points could recover naturally.

This meant he could conserve his potions for more dangerous situations.

It seemed that the skill could be improved through actual usage, and this meant that he could potentially increase its effectiveness simply by continuing to fight and train.

Satisfied, Traceless continued practicing for a while before finally returning to the camp.

The third day arrived.

By this point, the caravan had already traveled a considerable distance from Reverie Town, and the environment had begun to change.

The forests were becoming denser, but at the same time, there were more signs of civilization along the road.

Old watchtowers could occasionally be seen in the distance, and the roads were wider and better maintained than those around the Beginner Town.

Traceless immediately realized that they were getting close.

’Leonine Town shouldn’t be far now.’
